gaming Emotional Moments in gaming

And by emotional, it doesn't have to mean "sad". It can be any emotion really.
One big one for me is first walking out of the Vault in Fallout 3. I felt a wide variety of feelings, sadness, shock, fear, pity, anger, and strangely, happiness.
Another is when

Walter dies in Fable III

What about you guys?

If you've ever played "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", you will know this face. And you will remember that annoying voice, his weird haircut, and the millions of ways to kill him.

Such is the emotion of rage.

  • In Red Dead Redemption, when

    John dies

  • The ending of Fallout 3

Punching Deathclaws in Fallout: New Vegas makes me feel excited, awesome, and incredibly badass

The beginning of Assassin's Creed 2

I feel really excited when Pack-a-Punching a weapon in CoD: World at War zombies mode

The whistling scene in Final Fantasy X

The end of FFVIII

When

Lee gets bitten

in the Walking Dead game

The end of God of War III

In any of the God of War games

ascending from Hades always feels epic

The troll in the original Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone game scared me half to death as a kid.

In the visual novel of When They Cry, I have so many examples that it is pointless to even try to list them

Ni No Kuni.

At the beginning when Oliver's mom died and near the end when he found out his mom didn't have a soul mate because she traveled through time and the one who died was actually Alicia herself so he couldn't actually bring his mom back.

Heartbreaking.

I also felt a great sense of honor when I did the Knights of the Nine DLC in Oblivion though.

Oh and let's not forget the hilarious comedy duo in the Fairyground. Man it had me laughing pretty good. They really went to great lengths to make the jokes funny instead of just playing on cheesy crap jokes like most RPGs tend to do.

In the Mass Effect Trilogy, any death of your companions always get's me.

Especially Thane and Mordin in 3.

When Mass Effect wants to get you to express an emotion it does a very good job. And I mean VERY good.

The MGS series is chalkfull of moments that have me bawl like a little filly from

Grey Fox's Death to EE's to the ending of MGS3

I'll also admit, I teared up a bit from

Zero's death in the first Megaman X

There were a lot of emotional moments in the Mass Effect series epecially at the end of the second game and throughout the third game. I also found myself becoming emotially attached to the little sisters in Bioshock 2. I felt like you really developed a connection with them when you were escorting them and protecting them while they harvest Adam. Unless you decide to be a jerk and kill them, but that's beside the point.
