so... empowered by local sources on here (you all know who you are) i was inspired to create rather than buy my wife a valentines day card. so i drawed'd'd'd this!

 

what do you guys think, this is my 3rd try at sketching a vector.

Thats very thoughtful of you! Always nice to do something instead of just buy it. Great that you put some effort into your valentines .

 

Looks pretty good to me I'd say. I'm not that great at analyzing art, but I'm sure your wife will love it!

thank you!  im pretty sure she will love it. at the very least it might get me out of doing laundry for the next few day maybe even vacuuming.

Woohoo! The wife was so impressed by my thought to make her a gift that she not only gave me the week off of house work but also aprrove the purchase of a princess luna plush!!!!! Now I just need to find me a god commission artist.

That was very thoughtful of you and I am glad to hear that she loves it.  Such gifts are usually better than something that is simply purchased.   And you get to buy a Luna plush as well?  I am quite envious!  The only thing I can see that needs adjusting in this is the head.  It seems slightly too narrow and squared off when it should be a bit more round.  Either way, it is quite cute.

it is, in fact i re drew her head prior to giving this to me wife. the vector i was working from had a odd shaped head so i kinda go lost in it and before i knew it the damage had been done and i made a very manly looking derpy.

Very sweet of you to draw something so awesome for your wife!  I hope she is giving you lots of kisses, cause if I had a husband who drew me Derpy for Valentine's day I would give him hugs and kisses all day

It so cute, I bet she will love it, I know I would if I got something like that.  

 

Anyways, I hoped she liked it. I hope that one day I will have a husband that will draw me My Little Pony cards for holidays,  that would be so awesome.
