Brazen instantly relaxed at this sign of hospitality from Flare and Hunter. "Much obliged" she replied, happily hopping up onto the sofa.

"Wow, sure is fancy around here!" She said, removing her hardhat and placing it gently next to her. "The rock waste's ain't the most scenic of locations in comparison" she grinned.

 

She picked up the menu, but only a few seconds later, she dropped it again gasping. "Where are my manners? Ah put my family to shame." She held out hoof across the table, equally to each of the ponies sitting at it.

Flare shook it eagerly. "You already know me, but it's great to have ya here." she said, before releasing her hoof and putting her own at the table in an attempt to look sophisticated and mannerly. 

 

"So, why're you in Canterlot?" she quizzed, blunt as per usual. Briefly, she pondered about where Splinter was... she had felt a little empty walking away from him like that, but she supposed he wouldn't mind too much as he'd see her shortly when she was through with the books.

"Hello Mr. Brazen, I'm Jolt Silver, but you can just call me Jolt. I'm here for a kind of break. It's a shame I've only got today and tomorrow before I have to head back to quiet, old Ponyville. But that's enough about me. Tell us about yourself."

 

Jolt turned to the menu for a split second. He needn't have bothered, he already had his heart set on the tomato and basil soup.

"I'm here to lend a hoof on the Canterlot waterworks, heard you've been having quite a few here problems recently. The chair-pony requested me personally after my work in the Rock wastes." Said Brazen proudly, though simultaneously trying not to sound like a show off.

 

Brazen's tone changed to a more solemn one as her thoughts turned to her family. She began to fiddle with her hoof. "Things haven't been going to well back home recently. We've been suffering from a terrible drought, my dad turned to heavy drinking, grandma's been loosing more and more memories by the day, she can barely remember who I am now, and my grandpa..." Brazen stopped suddenly. "My grandpa..." she stuttered again. She tried to speak several more times before bursting into tears.

Flare carefully, and for the second time that day, stretched out a hoof and patted Brazen's shoulder gently. 

 

"That's terrible... I'm really sorry." - emotion such as sadness made her uncomfortable, for she didn't deal with it well at all. Particularly others'. She wasn't sure what else to say - she hardly even knew Brazen, and Brazen hardly knew her; who knew if she actually cared what she said or not? Perhaps gentle words weren't the way to get through to her. She didn't know whatsoever.

 

Unsure of what else to do, she solemnly detracted her hoof and sat in silence, looking at her book covers for something else to see other than the tears on the other pony's face.

"CRIPES!" Draco yelled out as he hit turbulence.  He began to fall out of the sky crashing into the ground infront of the resterant. "Ouch," Draco said as he began to inspect himself of damage. "Oh, that definitely hurt maybe I need a break from my job," Draco muttered to himself. He saw his friend Hunter and Jolt. "Oh hey it's Hunter with her new friend Jolt. Along with two cute mares," Draco said with a chuckle. He limpped into the resteraunt "Hey how are you ladies and gentle stallion doing this fine after noon,"

''HEY! I DO NOT OWE RAINBOW FACTOR- OW!'' Splinter exclaimed while tumbling into the restaurant. He was attacked by an angry librarian. ''Well, looks like I'm going to make another detailed post on yelp.'' Splinter grumbled as he got up and noticed a group of ponies including Blitz. He noticed another mare beginning to sob. ''Erm.. Is this a bad time?'' He asked Flare as he cocked an eyebrow.

Minath was giving flight lessons to the new recuits. Some of them were pretty good, some not so much. She flew her usual route over Canterlot, showing the stallions the proper ways they should swerve in the event of an attack.

 

Minath took her lunch break from being captain of the Guard to wonder Canterlot by hoof, and wondered if anypony new was in town.

"Aww man I think I need to get to the hospital," Draco said aloud as he waved goodbye to the group. He limpped out of the resteraunt. He noticed a cute pegasus walking towards the resteraunt Hello miss how are you this umm well for me it's been one bad day. but maybe for you a good day?" Draco said with a slight chuckle.

Minath was startled. Ponies don't just come up and tak to her.... but Minath was slightly aware of how one's supposed to act in the event of conversation.

"Oh I'm forgetting my manners my name is Draco O'mally. May I be so bold as you ask your name pretty alicorn?" Draco asked with a slight bow. But he cut the bow short when he felt pain in his right front leg. "Yep I need to go to the hospital alright," He muttered under his breath.

"Oh, it's Minath. Minath Watcher. I'll take you to the hospital, if you would like." Minath said, letting her horn start to glow with it's light cyan aura, and flitting her wings. She never understood how her personality could flux like this, just earlier she was screaming her lungs off at her squadron!

Minath was really confused. But then again, anything social confused her.

 

"Uhh.... sure. I guess. If that's what you really want to do." Minath said. She was glad she had her saddlebag. On the downside, the emblem on the side wasn't her cutie mark, it was the emblem the Captain of The Guard wears. "Where do you want to go?" Minath didn't really eat out, food was always served at the ring of a bell in the Palace.

Draco chuckled as he said "Well I do have a delivery to the castle gaurd captain. Now I know where I saw that mark your captain of the gaurd right?" Draco asked. "Well I can always do what I always do field medicine not comfertable but better than nothing eh?"

Minath blushed as much as her grey coat would let her. "Yeah, I'm Gaurd Captain. Been so for acouple years now. And you don't have to do field medicine, we're in the middle of a city. I'll take you to the hospital." Minath was debating whether or not to pick him up with her magic and just trot him there.

Of course hearing Draco say this made her blush even more. She was more red than grey now, at least in her face. Changing the subject off of herself, Minath said "So where are you delivering?" Minath looked around and flitted her wings, her wings were smaller than everage because she was too, so she could practically spred them apart. She yearned to do that, it took alot of willpower not to.

Also she ordered a special cake from the zebra tribes. Such a sweet tooth sheesh," Draco said as he smiled slightly "I guess she's just like us,"

Minath knew all about Celestia's sweet tooth. Often Celestia and Minath would pig  out together. Minath also didn't decide to tell Draco the Zebra Cake was Minath's idea.

Draco pulled out his pass as he said with ventriliquism "Still don't know why delivery ponies just don't take ventriliquism it helps alot during the job," Draco said pointing out one of the flaws non unicorn delivery ponies have. He smiled slightly.

Minath nodded. She started walking to the castle, eager to get back to work. She flitted her wings once again, spreading the feathers apart and then twitching the ends.

 

"You might be able to stay in the castle until my shift is over But that's another... six hours away." Minath said. She had to work long shifts because she was in charge of everypony.

Minath wan't sure whether to be flattered bt Draco, or to flatten him. She decided for now, to be neither. If she could help it.

 

Minath walked into the gates and ordered one of the lower ponies to help out Draco, then she took off and found a group that needs help. Or to be yelled at.
