Sigs that I've made

So I am a bit of noob when it comes to most things art related so I was fooling around and practicing with Photoshop and I made some sigs. If I make more I will post them here. A general topic, genius!

 

This is my first sig that I have made.

The translations are as follows:

We are the same,

I will protect you,

A lonely child, (Side note: Kyoshi in Japanese means 'Lonely child' as well)

The lonely child looks from a distance,

 

Long live Princess Twilight Sparkle!

 

Here is a sig for my Twilicorn obsession.

The translation is Long live Princess Twilight Sparkle!

 

This one is about my story. In it my OC, Kyoshi Lonehearted, finds the Alicorn Amulet instead and it infuses itself with him. He much later declares himself Emperor of the Frozen North where he lives. Trixie later asks to join him, which he accepts. She is then made Captain of the Unicorn Corps of his army.

This is another sig for my OC and his story. After his declaration that he was Emperor of the Frozen North, Twilight Sparkle went to reason with Kyoshi. This caused his emotions to show themselves for a split second. He cast her out with anger using his magic. Later though, he began to think of her and he could not get her image out of his mind. Did he feel....love? For the first time, he is feeling affection for another pony, but this affection soon turns, to obsession.

The translations are as follows:

Please come back, I made a mistake

I reject my heart, if you do the same

 

A random sig that I made. Kyoshi lives in the Frozen North, so snow theme!

 

My first ever Fluttershy sig! Despite its simplicity, I really like how this one turned out.

 

Random practice Fluttershy sig.

 

New OC Sig. Shortly after Kyoshi's transformation, he began to think. His mind was bombarded with many different thoughts, mostly about his past and his village. He felt disconnected from the rest of Equestria. Where did these thoughts come from? Not only that, but he began to develop a feeling that he thought he would never feel,hatred towards Equestria and it's ruler.

 

More sigs are located below. I have hit the limit for off-site images for this post. (There is the attachments option, may try that at some point.)

very nice. the first one is my favorite. i love the poem that is on it and i find it neat how you translated it. by the way thanks for being a twilicorn supporter i see way to much bashing on her

Pretty good job on them. One thing that immediately sticks out is that the borders, being a single color, are super vivid and draw the eye. This can be a good thing, but it can also distract people. For things like this I personally prefer to make the borders transparent a fair bit, it makes them look more unique and doesn't distract. Look at my current avatar, for example; I use the same thickish borders you do, but make them on a separate layer, which I then make around 50, 60, maybe 70% transparent.
 

I feel the second banner, your current one, is the best example where this might have been a very good idea ^^ The vivid grass green rather jumps out at you, and that's not really what borders are supposed to do, they're more to contain and such.

 

Just a suggestion :3

Very nice and my favorite signature out of them all has to be without a doubt the one you made of Trixie. I love how you mixed it with red, black, and trixie's blue. That one is by far my favorite and btw nice signatures .

 

*Although one of the layers of your red border is hidden by trixie you may have forgotten to overlay that one over her layer . Always got to double check other wise great job*

I was actually thinking of the border and I originally planned to have her behind it, but I decided to have her a bit 'out' of the signature, since she is the main focus. It makes her pop out more. Thanks for the feedback and advice though!

Very nice tips. I keep forgetting to make a separate layer for the border. I also may experiment with gradient borders. I really like borders on images like these so I will try to make them look better.

Looks like someone already did that. I am unsure if I am skilled enough to make a background like that anyways.  Hopefully I will get better though.

Update: I have added my latest sig thingy. It is a snow themed sig! I have added it to the original post. I think it turned out okay.  Hopefully someone likes it.

 At the moment I do not. I may make one at some point. My random self-esteem levels are kinda preventing me. I never know if I am truly good enough. Thanks for the comments!

 

Update: I just completed my first ever Fluttershy sig!  I really like this one, despite its simplicity. Simplicity is an apparent strong-point of mine.  Eh, simplicity can still look good though!

The language is Finnish. Hmm, an RPG....Not sure. I could see that though. Not sure if it is that epic though.
