Loving and Tolerating - You're doing it wrong.

"Do not do to others as you wouldn't have done to you." Respect and tolerate everyone's opinion and where they are coming from because at the end of the day it is after all just an opinion. Different people have different boundaries. Just because I'm a politically independent, agnostic, gaming, somewhat-hyperactive brony who doesn't see anything wrong with clopping doesn't mean I can't respect where someone else is coming from just because their views are different. Love is pretty self-explanatory, practice what you preach and you WILL get good out from what you put in. Trust me, it works and pays off in the long run. OP has made quite a few valid points here and I hope we continue to practice what our fandom was founded on in the first place. Love and tolerance every pony! <3

"Loving & Tolerating" others, in my book, it basically means to be patient. I've always applied that irl and online, and it's taken me to a good level. Before that, I just blew up every five minutes, because I just couldn't stand everything that was around me. Now and then, I get mad/irritated rarely on the forums or anywhere irl. When people do something that may be bothersome, I'd be like "meh, go for it, it's your life, etc."

 

Basically, I love & tolerate everyone regardless of who they are. I'm not bothered with anything.

I generally don't find so much hatred on this forums, and maybe that's just because I only come on every now and then. Lately, one of the more major 'unlove untolerate' things I've noticed here is people's views on Hasbro. Topics which denounce Hasbro pop up once in a while, and I've seen a few. The flaw about people is that we tend to notice the negative aspects of things more easily than we notice the positive aspects. People complain and bitch over Hasbro products, plushies, shutting Mane6, etc. However I saw a thread recently which was about how Hasbro actually loves us (somewhere in Sugarcube Corner or General Discussions). This person saw the good parts of Hasbro and complimented it.

The world we live in isn't exactly the happiest place place in the world and it is easy to develope a pessimistic mindset, but mind you; try to think positive, and look for the good side of things and not just the cons which are easier to notice. The world would generally become a better place if people can tolerate more.

I'm sure there are other bronies like me who still try to live to the "love and tolerate" idea as much as possible. This motto shouldn't just be followed by bronies; all people should look at this motto and give it a thought.

I never really did follow the whole love and tolerate thing, it's a bit unrealistic, especially with the "Love" part.

One correction though. Agape is unconditional love. Philo is brotherly love.

 

Also Christianity (well, Jesus specifically) says that we should love our enemies. Guess it is the brony code as well.
