Jolt flew into the air to get a better view of what was going on. He saw a large gathering of ponies and flew over to them. He heard something about volunteering coming from the mouth of a guard below.

 

[This looks fun. What's the worst that could happen?]

 

"Hey, Mr. Guard! I'll do it! I need something exciting to happen."

 

Jolt swooped down and landed next to the other ponies arranged in a line.

 

"Jolt Silver, ready for action!"

@, The Guard looked over the pony "You will do stand next to the others!"

 

@, The guard then looked at the next pony who approached him. "good your attitude is pleasing to me. stand with the others"

 

 

The guard snapped its neck back and saw there were an uneven number of mares and stallions. "All right! You get the special task of finding signs of the culprit. Head over to those mountains. I will send another one to meet up with you ponies" The guard pointed to a tall snowy mountain. Two guards stepped forward to throw bags on the ground in front of the group. "these are your provisions for the journey. Here you will find warm clothes, food and other various assortments. Now get going!"

 

Delia picked a bag and started walking out of the center of town. "Come group of misfit pony folk. It looks like we have much ground to cover." She said as she looked back at the ponies. She was nervous, not only was she the leader of the group, but she also knew little to nothing about the area and the people who inhabit it. She stuck out like a sore thumb in comparison to every pony else. This did not bug her much. she was just happy to have company for a change.

Draco only chuckled slightly "If I may miss do you know what do to?" Draco asked with an eyebrow raised at the mare that was supposed to lead them.  While he didn't mind being lead around by a mare. It bugged him slightly. In his gut he felt that she didn't know what she was doing or know what to do. But hey who would listen to a courier pony.

@@dragon4111, Delia looked back at the red pony. "The Guard said to go to these mountains. That is where we are going." The zebra said as she continued trotting onward. "When we get to the base i can tell the group of my plan." She then locked her head forward and stiffened up her neck.

"Maybe now this is a sujestion here maybe we should look at the scene of the crime and see if we can find any evidence. I'm just saying because maybe it could give us some clues. Then we can go to the base. But hey no pony ever listens to the worldly pony who's been around the world," Draco said as he shrugged. He sighed "The gaurd yeah look lady I don't trust that guard or anypony for that matter atleast not yet. So I'll keep throwing out suggestions till somepony listens,"

"Here we go again" Flare said as he followed behind the the others. "By the way what was going o at the Empire with all the ponies panicking" Flare asked not knowing what he volunteered for. "I always get my self into predicaments that i dont know about" Flare said as he kepts walking

Pia fell in line with the others, following the mare who was obviously leading the group. While she didn't particularly care for what was going on, she figured as long as she was a part of this she might as well know why. 

 

She heard someone ask about what had happened so she trotted over to see if she learn anything.

"That's a good idea. Hey, miss, why don't we look at the scene of whatever crime it is I'm not yet aware has happened. Crucial evidence could be right there and we could miss it."

 

Jolt flew upwards and asked Draco.

 

"What's your name? I'm Jolt and you seem to have some good ideas."

 

Jolt went down to his level and whispered into Draco's ear.

 

"How about we ditch this group of sheep and go to the crime scene?"

@@dragon4111, Delia perked up. " You have been around the world? Have you ever been to Saddle Arabia? I come from a small village just outside of there." She said as she He continued speaking. "I sense that you are an impatient sort. Where i come from that can be a dangerous trait to hold onto." She said as the others followed behind. She acknowledged Draco's words once more. "I am the leader of this group, and where i come from the leader is always followed without question. However, it seems the pony folk have a different sense of the word." 

 

@, Delia heard another pony speak and cocked her head around. "You are the one they call Flare. Am i correct? It would seem that an item of your people has been stolen by one of your many enemies. We are being sent to retrieve it. At least that is what i gathered from the place in question." 

 

The Guard caught up to the group. "Now that you are away from the crowd i can give you this. It is a debriefing of the incident. It  tells in detail what happened. The details of the suspect are sketchy to say the least." The Guard said as he turned around. "now get going to those mountains. time is of the essence." With that the Guard seemed to disappear.

 

Delia opened up the briefing and she read it aloud:

At Dawn a mysterious pony came in contact with the crystal heart(item A). The suspect began to move item A and began to undergo a strange transformation. An acting guard tried to take down the suspect with magic bolts but was too late. The suspect was last seen heading over to the mountians accompanied by a strange aura.

"thats all that is written." she said as she put the report away.

Draco began to pace slightly thinking. "Transformation magic?" Draco said aloud as he pace. "Yeah I've been to Saddle Arabia. No  I'm not impatient just being thurough here," Draco said  "I have an idea about what type of magic that pony used," Draco said as he then looked at Jolt "I'm Draco O'mally of O'mally delivery services"

Melody wandered the streets of the Crystal Empire. She was ecstatic. She'd never had the chance to see the Empire in all its beauty before.  With her being on vacation it would give her all the time in the world to see the sites. "Oh this is going to be soo awesome. *Gasp* I wonder if I'll get to sing for Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor?" Melody squeed at the thought. She could see a bunch of ponies dispersing from a large crowd. Trying to keep her distance so as not to attract to much attention to herself. Suddenly a guard pony appeared in front of her out of no where startling her as she yelped in panic.

"Yes my name is Flare" Flare said answering Delia. "A strange aura i wonder what they mean...I wonder if King Sombra is back" Flare said as he wondered about who helped him get the crystal heart in the first place. "Anyways transformation magic might have helped him out"

"Aye that's one of my suspicions. But since the fearless leader here," Draco said with sarcasm. "Want's to go because some nameless guard tells her to," he shrugged his shoulders. "So that is why I'm saying we should check the scene of the crime for any evidence you know," Draco said as he looked at Flare.

"Checking the scene might not give many clues if it was transformation magic though" Flare said as he guesses that transformation magic won't leave much evidence. "I might go with the leader on this one Draco" Flare said unsure what the letter meant by dark aura

Draco shrugged "Fine fine sheesh," Draco said as he flew into the air "Shall we go now?" He said as he hovered in the air. Draco shook his head as he noticed a new pony coming "Hmm I think we have a new pony coming to here," Draco said as he lazily hovered in the air. "So anypony else feel that we should check the crime scene?"

"Transformation magic? This is no ordinary pony we're dealing with." Pia noted as she watched the ponies hovering above the group, "I say we listen to the guard and continue on towards the mountains and see if there's any more to the story we could learn that might be helpful"

@, The Guard looked at the pony. "Whoa there citizen. You look like you are in a rush." The guard looked back at the group who was barley visible. Putting two and two together the ill informed guard turned to the pony and asked, " Are you going to meet up with the group assigned to the case? The Princess herself authorized this action" The Guard then looked the pony straight inot the eye and waited for a response.

Delia closed her eyes and took a couple of breaths in to clear her mind. "I think that it's bet to stick to guards words. The mountains is where we go. Although, You Draco might be competent enough to check this crime scene yourself and report back your findings by yourself." Delia said as she tried not to come off as mean. She never had extended conversations with pony folk. Delia then turned her attention to Pia. "Your name is Pia correct? Your words confuse me. I thought all unicorns could transform." She said as she scratched her head.

"You've got it beautifull, now then time to do some detective work," Draco said as he flew off to where the Crystal Heart once resided. He landed afew milimeters from the place and he looked around. "If I was a thief where would I gain entrance from," Draco muttered to himself as he looked around.

Melody wasn't sure what to say to the guard, and she sure as hay didn't know what was going on with some sort of case that he was talking about. "Um I...I guess so I mean if it was an assignment by the Princesses then I should probably help in anyway possible." Melody wasn't sure but she felt like she was getting herself into something that she shouldn't be. But if this meant giving her a chance to sing for the Princesses then she was all for it.

Pia turned toward Delia. "That's my point, this plan was thought out. If this had simply been a silly prank there's no way they could have gotten past the defenses. We have to be careful not to underestimate the power of whoever did this." Pia glanced in the direction that Draco had flown. "Hopefully his search of the crime scene will prove fruitful"

The Guard nodded and pointed to the group that he was talking about. "Go and look for the Zebra named Delia. She is the leader and can fill you in on what the details are." The Guard said.

Delia turned her head slightly. "A prank? what is this prank that you speak of?" She asked, "It's wise of you to say that. The warrior Zebra's in my culture have the same thoughts when they are in a fight." Delia said.

 

As the group was trotting along she wondered about what Draco said to her. What he said must be another thing those pony folk do to each other.

One guard pony is standing watch over the crime scene. He spots Draco and trots over to him. "Hello citizen, you must be with the group who was sent to the mountains." He said as he examined Draco. "Feel free to look around, i will be here if you need my help. Seeing as how you are a pegasi you wont' be able to see much,however."

The Crime scene looked barren, but the guard,who was a Unicorn, seemed very interested in sever spots.

Melody simply nodded and slowly started walking over to the small group of ponies. She wasn't sure what to do or say but finding a Zebra shouldn't be hard at all. True enough it wasn't, spying a white and black zebra amongst the group. Melody quickly trotted over to Delia. "Um...excuse me I was told by a guard to come and see you about some assignment." Melody spoke sheepishly trying not to distinguish herself in the group.

Delia heard a quiet little voice behind her and looked. She spotted a pony who was new to her. "What is this? A new travel companion? What is your name new pony?" She asked as she tried to contain her curiosity. "Oh forgive me, i did not answer you. If the Guard told you to see me then it would seem you are indeed a new travel companion. Right now we are travelling to the mountains to look for a missing item. It was an order from your Queen and one of her guards. From the looks of things its going to be a long journey." Delia explained to her with a smile.

Melody looked off into the distance and swallowed a lump in her throat. "Um I'm Melody. And are we really heading to that mountain area? It looks pretty dangerous." Melody was unsure of what to think of what was going on. "Well if it's a mission from the Queen then I'd be more than happy to help. What do you need me to do?"

"Yep we are pretty much heading to the mountain area not sure what we gotta do there exactly but our leader will probably know when we get there" Flare said to Melody. "Ayways whats your name my name is Flarebolt" Flare introduced himself to Melody as he continued onward.
