Apollo looked at the pony and sighed. "I should be sorry as well. I am under stress and i'm not used to dealing with anypony else except fellow guards and irritating nobles." He said with a more relaxed tone. Apollo watched as their leader talked and the way she carried herself. it might have worked back then but it wont work now

 Delia smiled. "What is wrong? Can you not see it is I, Delia? Did that kiss not mean anything last night?" She said as she turned towards the group and caught Apollo in the corner of her eyes. "Destroy him! He's the one i saw in my horror filled dreams. He was the one messing with us!"

"uh huh give it up changeling," Draco said as he poised his sharpened wing to the creatures neck. while he was redoing that he placed a tracking rune on the creature secretly. "I was there at that wedding fiasco in Canterlot last year," Draco said with authority in his voice.

"Should have known...cause one you made yourself very easy to identify" Flare said walking up to the changeling. "Your not smart are you" Flare said glaring at the changeling. "Where are you keeping our leader" Flare said keeping a blank emotion on his face while still glaring at the changeling.

'Delia' pulled the rune off her coat. "Aww, you need to be more secretive than that." She echoed as she stomped on the rune and broke it.She spoke once more. "The old Delia is gone now. I am the replacement...And you will LOVE ME" 'Delia' said. Green aura started creeping its way towards the group.  

 

Apollo teleported to the 'leader' and pressed his horn against her. "Never again." he said as it lit up. "There i took away its ability. question time, who is up first?" He asked the group as he bound the changeling with his magic.

"Where is our leader and what do you even want with any of us" Flare asked being angry at the changeling. "Apollo how far can you send someone in distance with magic" Flare asked having an idea of send the changeling around the world and the smash him straight into the ground.

"Amateurs," Draco said as he laid out rusty knives and a whip "What they pissed me off by taking my beloved from me and as an O'Malley I am sworn to bring her back," Draco said as he held a knife in his mouth then spoke via ventriloquism "Now then channeling tell me where Delia is or I will start cutting,"

The Changeling hissed at Draco. "Im never going to tell you. Your dear love interest is gone forever." It laughed then changed its face into Delias again. "All i wanted was to be loved by my newfound friends. Instead they ignored my crys for help. Draco, why didn't you save me?Why must i die for your selfishness." It then mimicked Delia dying and laughed hysterically.

"How does the atmosphere seem to changelings" Flare said looking at the changeling then slapping it. "Quit it with the shape shifting crap its stupid" Flare growled. "So how about you tell us because we are tired of your crap alright" Flare said. "Maybe when your in the atmosphere I can send you back down here...like a comet" Flare smiled as he said that.

Draco began to cut into the changeling slowly drawing blood "Tell me where she is you foul little cockroach," Draco said as he continued to cut into the changeling. "Where is Delia?" Draco's voice was cold as he cut off the changelings wings. "I have healing talismans which means I can do this all day,"

Flare noticed what Draco was doing and decided to try and stop him. "Draco no calm down we can do this a different way then just torturing him...her...it...its just not right" Flare said as he tried to pull Draco away. "Its not worth almost killing someone only to do it again" Flare said

The changeling laughed at Draco as he cut it. "Its a good thing we are drawing power from your leader. I can regenerate at her expense. So really, you are indirectly killing her more!" The changling laughed.

Apollo gasped a little at the words of the foul beast. "I didnt want to think of it but they are nearing that level of chaos. If what the changeling's saying is true then it would mean that Delia had so much love in her that the Queen targeted her and is using her life force as a power source. Flare! Did you see any greenish caccons in those houses?" Apollo asked.

Draco hissed as he dropped the knife. He tied up the foul little creature "Hatred is poison to you correct," Draco said with venom to his voice. "Report Flare what you found," he said as he looked into Flare's eyes. Draco's silver eyes seem dead now instead of the usual life to them.

"Yeah me and Melody did see that in various houses we came back to report that actually but then all of this happened" Flare said as he turned back to Draco and saw his cold dead eyes.

Melody stepped forward finally wanting to say something. Everything that was going on was making her uncomfortable. She didn't like that the changeling had tried to fool them by acting like Delia. Flare was right though, Draco needed to calm down it was obvious that his threats were just empty to the changeling. "Draco, please calm down. Flare and I did find some weird slime and it looked like cocoons inside the houses. We'll go there Draco. We'll rescue Delia." Melody stood in front of Draco trying desperately to calm him down.

"Talk to me when all of your family is dead and gone," Draco said "Tell me when you stand in their ashes. Hear their screams at night. See their ghostly forms asking why didn't I save them. When you've lost everything dear to you then you can tell me to calm down," Draco said. "When I finally have something to fight for something to live for these foul monsters take her from me well then I declare a Nex Sacramentum a death oath on all changelings and their queen,"

"WE MUST GO TO THOSE HOUSES!" Apollo yelled with urgency in his voice. "Flare and Melody, Lead the way! On the double!" Apollo's horn was glowing brighter then before.

Draco put a gag into the changeling's mouth and dragged it  by a rope he used to hogtie it. "Yes you two takes us to the village then alright," Draco said as he looked at them. He gritted his teeth slightly keeping his anger under control. He'll have his revenge.

"Wow good for you cause I burned my own village and killed every pony there including my family...and you know something I just flew off and left...I had nothing to lose cause I didn't go through stuff like you did but knowing you did nothing to even save your family cause I didn't and also your lucky I have been to hell and back I thought I wouldn't need to care for another person...you know at least I left my past behind and I feel bad for doing that at least you kept your past so don't give me your sob story cause right now as we sit here Delia is dying and your doing nothing" Flare explained. "You know something at least you didn't kill them"

 

"Now let's go now" Flare said as he headed to the village

Draco rolled his eyes "Just show us where the village is alright I just want to rescue Delia alright," he said as he looked at the changeling behind him. Death would come to this and the hive alright. Maybe he would ask one of his friends to create a sterility plague to control their numbers. He smiled at thatr only slightly

Melody turned and trotted along catching up with Flare easily. She nuzzled up against him trying to console him after what he'd just revealed. "I'm sorry Flare I didn't know that was your life. Mine seems simple compared to yours. I was left by my parents once I got my cutie mark. I guess since I didn't get something they thought they'd be proud of me for they left me." Melody could feel the tears welling up in her eyes as they ran down her cheeks. She then nuzzled against Flare harder. "I'll be your family now ok Flare."

"Thanks Mel....I'm sorry for acting how I did before" Flare said as he arrived at the village with Melody. "Okay...so should we wait or shall I kick a door down and see inside on of the houses" Flare said as he saw a pair of eyes in one of the windows. "Yeah I'm checking this house" Flare said

"I guess instead of saving Delia we are arguing who had it rougher growing up. Fine me next, Once when i was a filly-" Apollo then made a raspberry noise with his mouth. He then galloped faster as he saw Flare kick the door down to the house of the village. "Good work, you might have what it takes to be a guard." He said as he rushed in.

He lit up his horn and exposed countless numbers of cocoons. All of which had ponies inside of them. Apollo then ran around the inside checking them. "None of them are emitting any signs of life!" He yelled as he approached a cocoon different from the others. It was heavily fortified but still showed the occupant inside. "The only one that might be alive is in this cocoon. Its too hard to tell. The mare inside has a green mane...looks to be a Zebra!"

"N-none of them are alive" Flare said as he followed behind Apollo and saw the cocoon that had the Zebra in it. "Let's get her out before something happens" Flare said remembering the eyes he saw through the window of this house. "I feel like we are not alone either" Flare said as a showdown zipped by him.

Melody was shocked at what she was seeing. There were at lease 20 cocoons in the first room alone, and she couldn't count all of the other rooms. It made her heart sink at the sight of so many lives lost. It wasn't just adult ponies either there seemed to be a few fillies and colts in the mix as well. "Hurry we have to get her out of that thing if it's the last thing we do." Melody pleaded when she heard that Apollo had found Delia.
