Jolt was gulping for air as a result of his escape from the Changelings. It took a minute but soon he was at a regular breathing rate. "Miss Pia., are you okay?" he asked. He noticed Flare's return with a new mare and made an approach. "Hey Flare. Who's the new mare here? If your after a group spot you best ask Delia."

"Huh" Flare turned around. "Oh Uh I found her in the forest surrounded by Changelings shes hurt though" Flare lied knowing that if they figure out shes a changeling they might think of me as a traitor. "Anyways how has Melody been while I was gone" Flare asked.

Spark huffed at Flare before he walked off. It wasn't long before Melody was up and moving again with a groan, Spark helped her up to her hooves. "Melody how are you feeling?" Spark asked. Spark pressed his forehead against Melody's "I've missed you so much Melody." Melody could finally take in what had happened and what was going on. "I...I...I've missed you so much Spark. If I'd known that you were alive...I...I..." Melody was cut off when she felt Spark kiss her gently on her lips. Melody didn't shy away deep down something told her she wanted this but her heart ached when Spark pulled away. She loved Flare, Spark was her first love she thought had died. All Melody could think to do was flop to the ground and bury her face in her hooves letting some tears flow.

Tendaji turned around and looked at Flare.

"Me and Delia are going after the crystal heart. Stay out of our way." He said sternly. Delia then turned HER head around and spoke to Flare.

"Yes, me and My....friend from the zebra tribe are going to get the Crystal hearts ourselves. You guys cover us."

Flare arrived with the made and what he saw made his heart break. "I guess...maybe I should just leave...for awhile" Flare said as he left the forest. "I can't believe this...just like that...it is my fault I didn't protect her...maybe he will do better then me" Flare thought as he cut a tree straight down the middle.

Melody couldn't bring herself to move an inch. tears streamed down her muzzle as she cried into her hooves. Inside she was being torn apart by the two stallions. Melody felt Sparks wing on her back as he laid down next to her. "Hey Melody it's OK you don't need him you have me now." In her mind she knew what it was like being with Spark but being with Flare made her truly happy. Her heart was aching and love being siphoned from her from an unknown source.

"Its not like she was the only mare out there that will like me for who I am" Flare said as his wing sharpened again. "Besides" Flare cut another tree causing it to fall. Flare turned to see the changeling from before and slowly siphoning his love from him. "You...its your queens fault and your little buddies too" Flare said as he pinned the changeling to the tree. "I...i" Flares wings became normal as he stumbled backwards. "Never trust a changeling or they will kill you" The changeling said as Flare got up and glared at it. "I...hate you" Flare said as he sharpened his wings and shot the changeling with one feather straight at its head killing it. "Dead" Flare said before he passed out.

Melody slowly looked up to see that Flare wasn't around anymore. She stood up in a panic and started to look for him when Spark stepped in front of her. "Melody whoa slow down. What's the hurry?" Melody looked at Spark with tears still flowing from her eyes. "I...I need to find Flare. I need to tell him I'm sorry....I....I hurt him." Spark put his head against hers looking deep into her eyes. "Melody if he really cared about you he wouldn't have let you get hurt like that. He would've protected you right?" Spark asked, more of Melody's love for Flare was siphoned away and Melody let out a sniffle before nodding. "You don't need him do you Melody? I'll be the one to protect you ok." Spark questioned. Melody started to feel nothing but anger towards Flare, and love towards Spark. The love she had for Flare had been taken from her and the more she loved Spark the more of that love was taken from her as well.

"To simple" The changeling got up and looked at Flares body. "It was too easy and now you cant even move..." The changeling said as flare slowly got up. "You...changelings....are so bucking annoying...just die" Flare said as his wing sharpened and moved closer to the change ling that was about to hit him but was grabbed. "Im gonna make sure you die" Flare said as he hugged the changeling close then stabbed it through it stomach. "Now fall" Flare let go of the changeling and saw its lifeless body fall to the ground. "You know...changelings get it luck at time all they need is love and they will be fine unlike ponies we care about others...but sometimes we feel betrayed...and feel sadness" Flare said as he went deeper into the forest. "Sadness...its better then being happy cause you cant become sad again and you wont care of any bad news people tell you...its funny really" Flare said to himself

Melody looked up and could see that Flare wasn't around, she stood up and started into the forest. She felt something pulling her that was until Spark stepped in front of her. "Hey Melody where are you going?" "I've got to find Flare, we need him plus Delia and the others are going for the Heart." Melody limped through the forest looking for Flare it was then that she saw the dead Changeling and Flare standing over it.

 

"Flare you're ok. Come on we need to help Delia get the Crystal heart." Spark grit his teeth when he saw the dead changeling. He stepped in between her and Flare. "Hey come on Melody we can't send you back into battle. Not with that wound anyway. Come on Melody lets just leave they don't need us." Spark kissed her lightly on the lips, he could see Melody's confusion.

"You know...I hate you so much right now Spark" Falre said as he cut off the changelings head. "Im still wondering how the changelings are able find us so easily...and I know you're not a changeling so I wonder...why did you fake your death" Flare asked as he knew about Sparks death and wonders why he would fake it. "You are a good person so answer this question: How did you die" Flare asked in a monotonee voice.

Delia looked around for Draco before heading off to find the crystal heart. He was nowhere to be found. Even though she had a friend from her village with her she couldn't help but to feel abandoned.

I thought he loved me. was it all for naught? She thought to herself.

Tendaji picked up on her feelings and soon nuzzled her. Delia wanted to stay with the group but since Draco appeared to have abandoned her she was scorn.

"Come, we don't need this group or that Draco fellow." Tendaji said as he pushed her further away from the group.

"You see, they all have their own problems right now, and can't focus on you. It would be best to just leave them and come with me." He said as he got a green flash in his eyes.

Jolt had an internal conflict of whether to stay or go. After deep consideration, he sighed and turned to Pia. "Miss. Piacevole. I need you to make an important decision. It doesn't feel right leaving Delia and her friend to obtain the Crystal Heart alone. I'm going with them." He leaned to Pia's ear and whispered, "But not in the regular sense. Something and of about this new zebra. I'm going on a spying mission. You're welcome to join me if you like or stay here. Coming with me will be dangerous and hard. Who knows what we will encounter. It is up to you."
