I feel Equestrian Girls is just Hasbro's response to Monster High. As long as they keep doing MLP:FiM, I really don't have a problem with it. I just don't like the idea of another show that shoves the ideas of you have to be popular, dating, and all that other crap down any audiences throat. Who knows, I may be completely off the mark with this spinoffs plot, but seriously, making them human..Hasbro what are you doing?

I've actually been afraid of this happening for some time. My guess was that there would eventually be an anime spin off, a la Powerpuff Girls Z. I was certainly not expecting this to happen so soon.

 

It's scary because it's so easy to imagine this going horribly wrong. If this project gets passed to a group of crappy writers, then we're going to end up with another stupid teen drama show. All the usual crap: The girls will be stripped down to one dimensional characters. We'll be seeing episodes dealing with "real teen issues," which will be about boy problems, popularity problems, keeping up with fashion, and so on. Everything that MLP has managed to avoid so far.

 

But there's still a possibility that it won't be a trainwreck. If they use the same writers we could end up with the same quality.

 

Though for me the problem here is that this feels like it's going to be a major rehash. We already have a show about the six girls going through life and learning about friendship, why do we need another one? What will being human add to the table? Isn't it basically just going to be the same thing with a face lift?

 

Either way we have no idea what's going on at the moment. If this is going to be a series, or some weird special, or whatever. Gonna have to wait until more info comes along.

Well, why can't Doctor Whooves be disguised as both a history and science teacher? Also, human Sombra should be wearing a sombrero at all times and be called Mr. Sombrero, and there should be some stuff that makes sense. Like Discord being disguised as that annoying person (like Taksh) who annoys the living hell put of everyone and gets all of the detentions.

How do you know this isn't some silly rumor going-on on the internet? sounds a bit phony to me- no offense. It just sounds a little bit, weird. besides, discord cant be a drug dealer (even if it is f"ckng hilarious) because the shows still on a kids channel.
