As some of you may know, my Grim Fandango fan-osity is unmatchable. Therefore, I've decided to make a roleplay of it! (Huzzah and all that.)

 

This is an open-world styled RP.

 

In Grim Fandango, you play as Manny, a "travel agent" (or grim reaper) for the Department of Death, responsible for escorting clients through the Land of the Dead to the Ninth Underworld. If you've led a very caring life, you are eligible to get there based on the package you can get; the fastest, for the best people, is the Ninth Train, which takes four minutes.

If you've been bad, however, you have to get there on foot, which takes about four years. Most give up and get a job in the Land of the Dead, but others press on.

 

In this RP, you will play either a client who is being escorted or a reaper escorting them. All of you have been "bad" in your previous life, but kind travel agents who hope to save your soul will help you get to your destination over the course of four years.

 

The RP, like the game, will be divided into four sections, each beginning on the second of November; the Day of the Dead. Each section will bring you closer to your goal.

 

If you want to be a "travel agent", please say if you've had any RP experience, and a link if possible. This is only because you'll be helping me drive the story forwards.

 

You can also go to any of the locations in the game; I'll post a list of locations later.

 

I'm unsure of whether or not I'll make this an advanced Roleplay

 

Rules:

1.) Please please please pay attention to what's going on. Everyone may be on different places, but listen to me if I prompt you, fir example, to go to a certain location.

2.) Keep it safe for work. Romance is permitted, but don't get too kinky. Keep the cursing under control.

3.) No alicorn or dragon OC's.

4.) You can't kill one another. Yes, you can die there.

5.) DON'T OP.

6.) You can have two characters, but ask first

 

Signups:

Just post a link to your character and write what they did to end up "walking" to the Underworld. (This is for later use. If you want it to be a secret for plot development purposes, please PM me.)

 

We need an EVEN AMOUNT OF PLAYERS. That's preferable. If not, I'll make another character to balance it out.

If you want to be paired with someone specific (as a Reaper and Soul are paired) please say so when sign-ups are done.
