I see enough of it written on the forums, but I have one problem and that is I don't even know what they are and what they fo :P. Also are going on about vector programmes which are alien to me as well. If anypony could give me some insight on what a vector is I would be a grateful pony! :)

Hello Toastie! :)

I happen to have typed a brief summary on the differences between vector and raster a month or so ago on one of my art threads. Allow me to point you to it: http://mlpforums.com/topic/46498-just-an-oc/?p=1099592

Feel free to drop me a PM if you've any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them. ;)

Signature to come soon. I think. Yeah. Once I think up a nice one. Or when someone makes one for me. Damn it. I need more time to draw and animate poni. >_<

The intermediately lengthy definition is basically while a regular image is stored as pixels next to each other so its basically saying "red red green blue red green green blue green red" (more complicated then that and more numerical but you get the point) a vector stores the information as mathematical equations so that when you zoom in or zoom out the image maintains clarity.
