Subscribe to members?

Should there be an option to subscribe to a member, so you get notified every time he/she posts a new topic?

 

 

Or does this already exist and I just haven't found it yet?

I would use this extremely sparingly, but I would appreciate it a lot if it was easy to implement. Maybe then I wouldn't accidentally overlook half of Stellafera's new PMV threads .

Maybe, in order to avoid abuse, one can only subscribe to, maybe, 5 people at a time

I've seen this on other forums.

 

However, I don't believe I've ever seen the feature on any kind of IP Board one. Not sure if that means it's impossible or no.

 

I would personally not use it, though I cannot see too much of a negative side to this other than more work for the tech turkey and the fact that you may come across as a creeper stalker.

 

I would say we shouldn't have a subscriber count like some forums do, though. People will be jealous and feel obsolete and then people will claim "omj elitismssmsmsms" over it and then the forum servers explode.
