I think it's a good idea! laugh.png? I wish I could go to Bronycon... Personally I've never been to Baltimore, but I know that the Museum of Art there is supposed to be really cool (according to my sister anyway).

Huh...apparently I've been living under a rock, and just now learned about the August event in Baltimore.  Pretty cool.  Last year I had to go on a trip abroad (for work...there wasn't really any getting out of it) so I missed the NYC convention by one day.  I'll definitely be there for the shenanigans in Baltimore this year.

You can visit the places that were in Hairspray, here. There's all sorts of neat art museums here and if I remember correctly you can tour Mica anytime you want. Get some crabs if you're here because they're so freaking good oh my god. There's also a baseball game right next to the convention center if you're into sports.

I know I'm a day or two late but it looks like I'm gonna be showing this one pegasister around the area when the con starts. Maybe you could tag in?

Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here

Well, I've been to Baltimore when I was heading to Washington one time. Its close to Washington DC so your family can take the Baltimore-Washington Parkway down to Washington DC to see the White House, US Capitol and do shopping there.

Baltimore has the Inner Harbor, Fort McHenry National Park, and a bunch of other things. Also, I do not suggest taking a car unless you want to pay tolls on the various Baltimore tunnels and the Francis Scott Key Bridge. (But, if you don't want a car, take the commuter rail to Washington, and then the Metro)

I rather have you take the Metro or Light Rail in Baltimore. These are just suggestions.

I love their aquarium because of nostalgia, but they also have Fort McHenry and the sights Lewis the Brony mentioned. It's ironic how I was born very close to Baltimore (Rockville), but I've been there about six times.

I highly recommend going to the Inner Harbor and visiting the Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center.

I have been there during Otakon Conventions a good few years back, attempting to make plans to go this year. Maybe the Bronycon too? Not sure since they are back to back in August.

The Baltimore Orioles are in town the week of the convention. Camnden Yards is an absolutely gorgeous ballpark, and the Orioles are shaping up to be a competitive team, so an evening spent watching baseball is definitely a possibility. I can't vouch for the prices, but since they're playing the Astros (a team likely to have a horrific season) and the Mariners (mediorce ballclub most likely, save for a few key players) tickets are probably going to be available and fairly cheap.
