Lorcan hung his head shamefully. "I'd rather not say. I don't want to burden you with my troubles. Oh, since i told you what was bothering me you have to pick your room now." Lorcan said as he lifted his head a little. If i told her that i was depressed because of THAT she might pity or look down at me. He thought as he awaited a response.

She got a little close and hugged him for a short moment.

"I'll listen, even if it may sounds insane to you or whatever."

She smiled and turned, trotting towards the room that had the jungle view.

Lorcan sighed thinking that he annoyed the new guest. He then felt a brief warmth on his body and saw that the guest hugged him.He froze in place and began to think. Why did she hug me?Maybe it was to comfort me or something. Lorcan shook it off and walked to the doorway of the room the She had picked out. "I'm sorry, but i am drawing a blank. What did you say thine name was?"

She giggled.

"Did my hug really do that? My name is Solara."

She went to the window and cracked it slightly before going back to the bed, sitting on it, then patting the space next to her.

"Come on. I'd like to know how you got this place, and why we're staying for only two weeks and not longer."

Let's just saw i did a little of everything to get this island. As for staying longer,I couldn't imagine other ponies wanting to stay here on this island with me for longer than a week."

"From what I know, I wouldn't mind staying longer; in fact, I'd like to stay longer already. And no, the bed isn't either."

She giggled. She thought that Lorcan was a little silly, but he wasn't a bad pony, and he was rather handsome. She already liked him a little, and she could see herself like him more.

Lorcan scratched his head at Solara's last statement. "Well, you're welcomed to staying longer. I don't mind and Celestia only knows i need the company. Were you checking the bed out? Was that why you were patting it?" Lorcan said. Maybe its just something she does to get comfortable.

"I was patting it to try to tell you, without words, to come sit where I patted the bed: next to me."

She debated saying, "Silly Lorcan." at the end of her sentence, but she held off, not knowing how he would take it. She wondered if him being lonely had to do with putting his head in the sand and inviting the others to come to the island.

 

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Nightfall looked for something to eat.

Lorcan facepalmed himself upon hearing Solara's words. "OH! Well that make me feel a little asinine." Lorcan said as he sheepishly sat on the bed. He made sure to leave plenty of room in between them so he wouldn't crowd her or invade her personal space.

"You know, you're probably one of the strangest ponies I've met. And I mean that in a good way. You aren't the drunk strange, or the druggy strange, or one of those guys, but you are strange."

She giggled. Lorcan was quite silly and strange, but weirdly, she liked that.

"Hey, wanna go for a swim in the ocean or something? I wanna do that, but I don't want to go alone; you know, always have a saftey buddy."

She winked at him when she said buddy.

She laughed, and got up and walked over to her saddlebags. There, she pulled out a towel and a swimsuit.

"And the jacuzzi idea sounds fun! I'm just going to have to change..."

And right then and there, she started unzipping the dress she had on. It was a slightly kinder way than asking him to leave.

He then jumped off the bed and stumbled out the door. "I..I'll just leave you to that!" He said nervously as he stumbled down the stairs. Awkward situation avoided...I think. Lorcan thought as he lifted up one of his hooves in the air.

He then jumped off the bed and stumbled out the door. "I..I'll just leave you to that!" He said nervously as he stumbled down the stairs. Awkward situation avoided...I think. Lorcan thought as he lifted up one of his hooves in the air.

 

She giggled, and after her door was closed, she laughed.

"He's really silly, and slightly awkward... I dunno why, but I honestly like that and wouldn't mind spending time to get to know him more."

She slipped out of her dress and put on her swimsuit. She then draped the towel across her back and opened her door, walking out towards the stairs.

"Be mindful of the stairs coming down...celestia knows i wasn't. Lorcan felt the soft swipe of a tail across his chin, which made him open his eyes. He saw Solara walk past him in a swimsuit which made his heart skip a beat."Alright i will be back in one moment!" Heart murmur? No it couldn't be. A swimsuit..i was just going to take off my pajamas and swim....though in the company of a lady I should be more...appropriate. Lorcan thought as he walked to his room and put on his blue floral trunks. He then flexed his wings and flew downstairs so as not to keep Solara waiting. "I am appropriately dressed to go swimming now!" He said as he landed behind Solara.

"This is a perfect time to go swimming."Lorcan said as he followed behind Solara. He glanced around,surveying the water. Out of the corner of his eyes Lorcan saw Solara's hips moving as she walked. Wow shes got some nice...what am i thinking!? Bad Lorcan bad...must not look. Lorcan thought, moving a little past Solara. His muscles tensed up as he did this. "The sand feels nice and warm." Lorcan blurted out.

She soon stopped and put her towel in the sand. Grinning, she looked at Lorcan for a few moments, and then turned and ran full speed towards the water.

"Last one to the water has to sing!"

 

Nightfall hummed mindlessly as he ate some breakfast. He wondered where Lorcan and the new mare were, but chuckled and pushed the thoughts from his mind. He wondered if he would go into the forest or down to the beach today, and if anyone else might want to join him.

She flapped her wings, boosting her ever closer to the water. She neared the water quickly, much faster than if she had kept running without her wings.

Lorcan watched as Solara flapped her wings. "They are beautiful" he thought out loud hoping that she didn't hear. Lorcan started flapping his wings but soon stopped. "Wow you are beating me! Careful, I might pull something out of my trunks" He said but quickly realised what he said. "Bah! I don't mean it like that!" [geez I sounded like a deviant right than] Lorcan thought.
