"Alright then. I'll go ask SpitDash. Brb!" Soarin said. So Soarin flew out of Everfree Forest and quickly ran into Spitfire and Rainbow Dash. "Girls, can you do me and a friend a huge favor?" Soarin asked. "Sure, what's that?" Spitfire said. "Can you take care of....a friend of mines daughter, Scootaloo?" He asked. "Sure, we can take care of her. How long?" Rainbow Dash asked. "It'll be an uncertain amount of time." Soarin said. "Ok takes us to her." Spitfire said.

 

They flew back to Mundy. "They said they can take care of them if that's alright with you." Soarin told him.

"Ok! I vill take Applebloom home now!" Dmitri said to the others. "I will meet you all again soon, but there are some things I must take care of! Come on Applebloom, we must go now!" As Applebloom said her goodbyes to the rest of the CMC, she and Dmitri trotted down the path away from the Everfree Forest.

 

 

Applebloom looked up at Dmitri with worried eyes. “Mister Grishenko, why a’ we goin’ back home so quickly? Is somethin’ bad gonna happen? Please tell me what is goin on!” Dmitri looked down at her and smiled at her. “I am sorry, Applebloom,” he replied. “I cannot tell you. I am not sure myself what will happen, but we need to keep you and your little friends safe. Do not worry about us though, we are used to danger, being old friends of Mundy! Now let us get you home!” They continued down the path towards Ponyville.

" Thanks for agreeing to this Love, I know we don't know each other very well but I reckon its the right thing for her" Bruce said to Spitfire as Rainbow Dash helped Scootaloo pack,

"It's cool 'mate', RD thought it would be a good way to thank the filly for her support back when she was facing a few challenges, coming out about herself, and joining up with us. She's a good one."

"Who Miss Dash or Scoots?"

"Both"

"Hph, Just a heads up, she'll wake up if you two start making to much noise. And I don't need her knowing about that stuff in that much detail."

He gives Spitfire smug grin and pokes his tongue out the side of his mouth a bit, earning him a wing to the back of the head.

"We'll be quite. We have ball-gags"

"Ohhhhh....

 

I'll just go help them now"

Once Scoots was packed, they shared a hug and she left with Spitfire and Rainbow Dash.

 

'Right now that everypony has gone, I'll lock up and go get loosened up. Lets hope the Spa Sisters aren't booked out'

 

Old brown slouch hat and reflective sunglasses on, bits in a small bag tied to his vest. Taking what he hopes isn't his last glance at his home, he sets off towards town.

When they reached Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack, Big Macintosh and Granny Smith trotted out to meet them. Applebloom galloped happily over to the family and started talking to Granny Smith as Applejack and Big Macintosh went over to speak to Dmitri.

 

“Well howdy, Mr Grishenko!” Applejack said to Dmitri. “Thanks for bringin’ Applebloom back safely! Do ya need something?”

“I am afraid I have to stop working at the farm, at least for a while,” Dmitri replied. “For how long, I do not know. Will that be ok?” Big Mac nodded his head. “Eeyup!” Big Mac said to Dmitri.

 

“Is there something wrong, Dmitri? I’ve never know ya to look so worried,” Applejack asked him. Dmitri began to explain. “There is something going on, what it is, I do not know.” He told her. “I want you to make sure that you look after your family, especially Applebloom. She is not old enough to protect herself yet. Something very bad is going to happen, I can feel it. That is why I have to leave. You must be prepared to protect yourselves from anything. My old friends from a long time ago and I are facing unknown danger, so we must find out what is going on. If I do not see you again, I must thank you for giving me a job. Goodbye, my friends! I will not forget you!”

 

With that, Dmitri began to trot away, unsure of whether he would ever see his friends the Apple Family again. He waved goodbye as the family called their goodbyes and waved back at him, before he trotted sadly away to his house just outside Ponyville.

"I've heard many similar things about dragons," Del replied. "At least you recognized that it was time to go!"

They reached Del's shack before long.

"It looks so...puny, doesn't it?" Del asked. She clapped her hooves together and hidden cameras, sentry weapons, and traps disabled.

"Welcome to my meager home!" Del exclaimed. "Just wait a sec while I fire up the grill."

@, "I knew you'd never rest if you weren't safe. Can i help with the grill? What ARE you cooking? I though that as ponies you guys were more suited in eating vegetables and stuff. To be honest even I was enstranged a little when i found the taste of gems... appealing." He says following her shrugging.

"Well... the wings were another strange thing." *he says flapping the empty devices on his back.

He stopped and started thinking for a moment.

"Shouldn't we look for the others? I don't think we have time for a BBQ."

Soarin went to Cloudsdale and had to go on leave for a while. He left a letter saying, "Dear Wonderbolts, I must go on leave for an uncertain amount of time. Something is going on, but I don't know what. Something bad is going to happen this is why I must leave. Spitfire already knows in case you're concerned. Hopefully, I'll return soon. Sincerely, Soarin."

 

As flew to his house next to pack and be ready to go. He picked up his baseball bat. "Ahh yes." He said packing it.

 

He flew over to SpitDash's place. "Hey girls, I'm just dropping by to say goodbye. Hopefully I'll be back soon." Soarin said. "Hey Soarin. Be careful and stay safe." Rainbow Dash said. "Bye Soarin. Hope to see you soon." Spitfire added. "Bye girls." He said as he flew to the spa.

As Dmitri arrived home, he went inside and trotted down to the basement. There, he opened a large door. Inside, there was a large collection of weapons and momentos from long ago. These were Dmitri's favourite belongings; his treasures. 

 

He trotted over to a large machine gun that was covered in a thick layer of dust. He blew off the dust, coughing a bit, and placed the weapon on top of a cardboard box. He stroked it carefully as he began to speak to it. "Ah, Sasha." he said sadly. "You never did work after we arrived here. I am sorry of that." He began to spin the barrel of the large gun around, seeing how time had treated his most prized possession. "Do not vorry, my friend. You will work again, someday. Right now, we must go. Something is happening, something bad. I need you by my side again, just like old times." With that he picked up the machine gun, hoisted it onto his back and trudged upstairs with it, bringing a rack of bullets with him on his way up. Compared to his huge size, the large gun was small and light for him.

 

In the kitchen, he packed up some belongings into a saddlebag and made himself some sandwiches. After eating one, he placed the rest in the saddlebags and strapped the saddlebags and his weapon to his back. He then left his house and trotted away in search of an old friend...

 

As Dmitri trotted up to the stage, he set down his saddlebags and his weapon and went onto the stage. “Where is he?” Dmitri thought. “It’s quiet, too quiet…” Suddenly, he heard a roar, as a large shadow charged towards him. Dmitri charged towards the creature. “Yaaahhhh!” he shouted as he charged towards the it. He grabbed the figure with both hooves… and laughed. “Hahahaha! It has been a long time, my friend.”

 

As they released each other from their vice-like grips, Dmitri and Iron Will both laughed. “Iron Will is glad to see you too, Dmitri!” Iron Will said. “What brings you here? Do you need some assertiveness training? Somehow, Iron Will thinks you don’t need it!”

 

Dmitri smiled at his old friend. “No, I do not need that kind of training. I need some REAL training! I am going towards unknown danger, so I need to be prepared!”

 

“For, you, my friend, Iron Will will help you free of charge! First, we need to see how strong you are. Come! Fight me and then we shall see what you need!” Dmitri nodded. “Da! Let us begin!”

 

Iron will raced towards Dmitri and swung his huge fist at his face. Dmitri held up his arms in defence, and the punch sent him sliding backwards a few feet. Dmitri retaliated by kicking Iron Will in the stomach with his hind legs, knocking him into a wall. “Not bad!” grunted Iron Will. “Let’s see how you handle this!” He charged towards Dmitri, picked him up and began to spin him around. Dmitri swung his hind hooves down, dug them into the ground and reversed the grab, spinning Iron Will and throwing him into another wall. As Iron Will struggled to his feet, he chuckled. “W-wow! Iron Will is i-impressed! Y-you don’t need any training! Iron Will wishes you the best of luck!”

 

“Thank you, my friend!” Dmitri said to him. “I hope I am able to return. If not, please protect Ponyville for me! I do not want to leave my friends in possible danger, and I know that you are more than capable of defending them! Goodbye, and may we meet again!” Iron Will nodded. “Iron Will will do his best to help you in anyway he can! Goodbye, Dmitri!”

 

Dmitri picked up his belongings, waved Iron Will goodbye and trotted away from Iron Will’s  training building.

Del sighed.

"Good point. I have been having these strange memory twitches every now and then since Celestia changed us. I need to show you the Star Panel. It's where I keep the Star Glits," Del replied. She ushered the dragon down a hidden flight of stairs into a secret chamber. The cave was bare except for the enormous wall of stars. The blue background was splashed with occasional lengths of milky paint. Millions of stars shone from dots on the wall.

"It's..beautiful," Pyro gasped.

Del trotted over to the wall and tore a small panel away. Instantly, all of the stars flared out and the one panel glowed brightly. The intensity began to increase, so Del tucked the small panel into a basket and covered it by thick blanket.

"This is the Star Panel. I need to get it to Twilight Sparkle in Ponyville so she can deliver it safely to Princes Luna. We need to hurry before the brightness of two septillian stars shines through the panel and attracts all kinds of predators and will probably blind me for life. Oh, and by the way, I'm one of the only ponies here who likes barbecue. I miss Texas..." Del explained.

Beifall swings the door to her home open. "Woohh," She hangs up her coat and latches several locks on her door shut. She gallops to her attic, where she stores some of her possessions from her past. "Haven't seen these babes for a long time ." She says pulling out a cooler of vodka. Beifall pops a bottle open and chugs some down as she continues digging around. "Ves." She whispers as she spots a box labled "For emergency use only".

Dmitri had one more pony to visit before he could rejoin the team. He soon arrived at the large tree in the centre of Ponyville, which happened to be the home of the alicorn Twilight Sparkle. He knocked on the door and a small purple and green dragon opened it. "Umm... Do I know you?" the dragon asked.

 

"I must speak with Princess Sparkle!" Dmitri replied. "It is of utmost importance." The dragon, Spike, nodded in understanding. "Ok then." he said cheerfully. "Come on in and I'll go and find her for you." As Dmitri trotted inside and closed the door behind him, Spike quickly ran off to find Twilight.

 

A few minutes later, Spike returned with Twilight following behind him. Dmitri bowed low to the ground. "Princess!" he said as he bowed to her. Twilight suddenly recognised him. "Oh! Aren't you Mr Grishenko? You're one of Applejack's friends!"

 

Dmitri nodded. "Yes, I am. I have come to you because I am worried for the ponied in Ponyville." He then explained to her the whole story of the letters he and his friends had received. When he had finished, Twilight looked concerned. "Hmmm..." she said. "This does sound quite serious. Is there anything we should do?"

 

"Da!" replied Dmitri. "I have asked Applejack and Big Macintosh to protect Sweet Apple Acres, but the town is also in need of protection. I have asked my old friend Iron Will to defend Ponyville from danger, but I fear even he will not be able to defend it on his own. Your brother is in the Royal Guard, is he not?"

 

"Yes," Twilight answered. "He is captain of the Royal Guard." Dmitri looked at her with a serious expression.

 

"Then you should ask for his help!" he told her. "I fear what is to come will be very bad for Ponyville if it is not protected. I just know that something bad is going to happen!"

"Septillian star shines? I do not understand... and why would they attract attention? Wait..." he started thinking walking left and right pondering the possibilities.

"Can the fallen stars be used as power sources or resources for let's say... the funding of a war? Whatever this is falling stars can't be a good thing. If they fall in the wrong place, at the wrong time they could cause major damage and we could have serious casaulties!"

He touched his belly as it murmured in complaint.

"Can we at least grab something to eat on the go? Travelling from the badlands here was no easy task i tell you. A pity... i would like to gaze upon the star panel for the whole day. It is so sad that i cannot... it's truly a work of art."

 

I have been having these strange memory twitches every now and then since Celestia changed us.

 

"You also mentioned something about memory twitches? What do you mean? What has happened? I think i might be having some of them too... it seems that the dragon Celestia has transformed me into has a past and from what i saw i do not like it."

Mundy had finished at the spa, he was now back almost to full sensitivity, he took in every detail from about him through his eyes, he could tell just how long BonBon had been making her sweets for, what pastries the Cakes and Pinkie Pie were making, which mares were in heat (something he tried his best to ignore). He could feel the changes in the wind caused by passing Pegasus, Off in the distance he could hear Applejack bucking trees, and closer by, Miss Whooves attempts to land on the porch of her house.

'Which I hope means I can find The Doctor, I need a word with him'

 

He walked to the residence of Ditzy "Derpy" Doo Whooves, and her new husband Doctor "Timeturner Whooves".

As Mundy steps onto the porch he can feel a strange vibration,

'Bingo'

He knocks and steps back. After a few moments 'Timetuner' opens the door, Mundy notices the blue police box from earth against the back wall.

"Ahh hello there Bruce! What can I do you for?"

 

"Well DOCTOR, I need you to contact your previous selves and tell them to keep a look out for anything too unusual"

 

"W-w-what? I-I-I-I I don't know what your talking about!"

 

"Your one of Celestia's secrets, I'm a bigger one"

The Doctor gains a serious expression,

"Very well then, anything in particular?"

"Out of way stuff, not stuff you deal with, it's more terrestrial for us"

"Fine, I will go do that now."

"Thanks mate, 'preciate it"

With that Sniper took off towards the Library.

He slowed down when he spotted the glad flying above the tree.

"Oh she's in!"

As he the door came into view, he could see Dmitri walking in.

'Bloody Hell! I hope she doesn't send a letter to Celestia about this. Old Tia would be down in a flash at the first mention of any of us, bar Soarin' but he was usually under the spotlight of the press'

"Ahh stuff it, I'll go in to, I need to borrow a book anyway"

Dmitri then remembered his letter that he had been given. Maybe Twilight could help him! "Princess," he said. "I have something I need you to look at." He took the letter out of his saddlebags and gave it to the purple alicorn. "I received dis the other day. It worries me. It is dis that makes me feel that something bad would happen. Could you maybe trace who sent it? Oh, and please do not tell Princess Celestia about this! It is crucial for all of us that she does not know of this. Promise me you will not tell her, please!"

 

"Oh, ok, Dmitri, I won't." replied Twilight. "Hold on, I need to get a book on analysing objects with magic. Spike! Can you get the book on analysing strange objects with magic please!" from across the library Twilight and Dmitri heard a cry, then a thud of lots of books hitting the floor, followed by a muffled "Ok...!"

 

A few minutes later, Spike came in, bruised and dazed from his fall, carrying a large red book. He put it down on the table, and Twilight trotted over to it and began to flick through the book, looking for the right page.

 

"No...no...no....Yes! Here it is!" Twilight said to herself. "Now, let's see... This shouldn't be to hard..." Her horn began to glow purple as she used her magic to lift the letter into the air, before she closed her eyes to concentrate as she performed the spell. Suddenly, there was a small explosion where Twilight was standing, throwing her into a bookshelf, causing her to be buried in a landslide of books. Dmitri and Spike rushed over to her. "Are you ok?" Spike asked her, worried that she was hurt. They helped her to her hooves. 

 

"How could dis happen?" Dmitri asked her curiously. Twilight had recovered and now gave the note back to Dmitri. "Whoever sent you this letter knows a dark and powerful magic," she replied, sounding very concerned. "This was not sent by any ordinary mare or colt. That explosion was caused by a shielding spell retaliating against my magic. It was obviously devised by a very powerful creature. I hope you still think it wise not to tell the Princess. Are you sure you do not want me to tell her?"

 

"Nyet! She must not know of dis!" cried Dmitri in response to her question. "There are many secrets in Equestria that would best remain secret!"

 

Just then, somepony knocked at the door. Spike opened it, and outside was Bruce Mundy.

"There are currently over septillion stars in the sky. Each of them has a glint, and each glint shines brightly. I do not know if they can be harnessed to form a weapon, but if the brilliance can blind me, then it probably could," Del explained. "I've been having memory kinks, in which I may forget a small detail. It's just been acting up recently. I'd love to cook a quick barbecue. I hope ya like buffalo, 'cause that's the largest meat I got."

Del fired up the enormous grill. She pulled an adult buffalo carcass from a hidden stash of meat and plunked it on the grill. She smothered the meat in barbecue sauce and waited for it to finish. It did, quickly.

"Oh! I also have tons of jewels if you want! I totally forgot!" Del offered.

@, He grabbed one and threw it swallowing it in the air. Then he stopped and thought for a moment.

 "Hey if they are of sentimental importance to you i won't eat." After some time when the Barbeque was ready he grabbed a bite. 

"My god... you have no freakin idea... how much i've missed a good Barbeque!" he said licking his lips.

"I feel like i'm reborn anew! Good food Delilah... good food. It's not just survival you know? If you enjoy it, it gives you even more to go on!" He licked his fingers one by one.

"Ahhh, my parents taught me well. I miss Texas...and no, I try hard not to attach myself to many items in case I have to leave in an emergency. The only thing I would've taken would've been the stars. I would've even abandoned my beloved barbecue sauce bottle. And I love meat...unlike any other pony here. Are ya ready to go?" Del replied. She nabbed the basket and hovered in the air. "Feel free to eat as much as you need."

Soarin was at the spa waiting. He saw Bruce exiting the place towards the library. Soaring followed him. Bruce knocked and Spike opened the door. "Oh hey guys." Soarin said. "What are you all doing at Princess Twilight's place?" He asked. "Oh, hi Soarin. I was just helping out with this letter they got. And I won't tell Celestia or you." She said. "It's ok I got the same letter." Soarin said showing her the letter. "Oh oops. I see." Twilight said.

@, Dennis grabs a handfull of gems and quickly devours them. 

"Time to light things up!" He focused a little and the golden garments on his wings lighted up and fire-wings came out of them. He looked at them.

"You know... these don't burn if you want to examine anytime you wish. Don't worry, i am fully charged and ready for action. Now lets see what this is all about."

"Alrighty, then!" Del happily laughed. "Let's get this show on the road! We need to make it to Twilight Sparkle's house in Ponyville. Ponyville is a little ways from here, no more than a quick flight. Well, you don't have to come if you don't want to, but I would very much like it if you did come!"

"Now that i found you? Pfff! There's no way i'm leaving such an interesting quest solely for you! You need the best of the best and that's what i'm going to provide you." he said smirking but then switched to a more serious look.

"But seriously... i miss you guys. All of you, the parties, the mess we used to get to, your barbeques "Miss Texas". It was all amazing, i felt like getting better just for the shake of having you as my friends. I wanted to be stronger day by day and be the best i could be for you guys. Because even though i want to be at the top, at the same time i don't want to... because the top is a lonely place and there are no true friends there. Only lackeys." He said faintly smilling at her while he sighed lightly.

"Am I not a true friend? What about the others?" Del sighed "So, shall we go? I'm a little antsy to get this to Twilight and out of the way...it's not that far to fly. And your wings are TOTALLY AWESOME! I'd love to examine them one day...maybe later. Not now, though. We gotta go!"

He extended his hoof little bit but closed it immediately. He sighed.

"I could not have wished for anything better in my life. Now let's go... ladies first?"

"Only if ya race me! Beat ya there!" Del shot up into the sky. She loved the feel of the wind in her wings and on her face. What was it like to be a human and not experience such exhilaration? If she lost her wings...well... that's not a thought one should dwell on, so Del erased that from her mind and focused on her speed.
