"So it was you who caused that!" cried Dmitri. Then he laughed. "Wow, I did not think you could do something like that! I agree with you though. We need a plan. Does anypony know anything that could help us?" he asked the others. "I am afraid I do not know anything about it that could help us, but do any of you know anything?"

Mundy replied looking behind him after hearing something from upstairs,

He didn't like where that sentence was going,

"'Scuse me for a moment" he said before propelling himself up to the Twilight's bedroom door,

"I would like you to come down to Ponyville sometime.."

'Don't do it love, you'll regret it, you'll regret seeing our side of her'

"MUNDY! What the hay do you think your doing!?"

He raises a claw towards the speaker,

"... And joining me for diner, my treat, or my cooking, which ever you'd prefer..."

'Ooh, it's just that ay?'

He pulls away a bit,

'Or she going to pop the question?'

The door opens magically before Mundy can get away,

Mundy had rushed up the stairs to the door of Twilight's bedroom. He pointed to the door and listened quietly. Dmitri trotted to the foot of the stairs and also listened quietly. He heard Twilight getting Spike to send a letter to Princess Celestia. "Dis is bad!" said Dmitri. "What are ve going to do? If de Princess finds out about this, ve are dead!" Just then, the door to Twilight's room opened, and Twilight saw Mundy outside her room.

 

"Hey! What are you doing up here?" she exclaimed. Dmitri looked up at the scene worriedly and back away slowly. "Uh oh!" he said. "Ve are in BIG trouble!"

@, Dennis notices the commotion and calls out to them.

"Uhmmm guys? What the he... hay... is going on out there? Dmtri?" Dennis nudged Dmitri and leaned on his ear

"Whats going on here? Wait..." a quick though run through his head.

"Are we texting... i mean... sending a letter to Princess Celestia? Is that wise? But then on the other hand... its a little understandable. She is most likely the one who can provide us with answers. Whatever we do we need to do it quick. We dont have to tell her we are togother. Just that we contacted each other. Wait... did you already send the letter?"

Soarin overheard this and ran upstairs. "What just happened?" Soarin said. "Twilight jus sent a letter to da princess!" Dmitri told him. "Awww crap! No no no! This cannot be happening!" Soarin said. "You're right Heavy, we're in big trouble! Sniper, what did you say?" Soarin said.

"Nothin' I was evesdroppin' forgetting that the Twilicorn 'ere can magic open a door, and got caught. She was just inviting Tia down for meal" He turns and gives Princess Twilight, who is looking rather peeved, a smirk, "Probably to pop the Big One, am I right?" This cause her to start a fish imitation while blushing profoundly,

"But we still need to work out what where going to do. Oh and may I suggest we find somewhere else to do so ay? Somewhere we can talk and not drew attention to ourselves, being a celebrity and Doctor, a farm hand, a griffon, dragon and Alicorn"

"Hmm... maybe we could go to Sweet Apple Acres?" Dmitri asked Mundy. "De Apple Family have a lot of acres of land, we could go there to discuss this problem, without other ponies hearing. I also want to check on dem, because I worry that Ponyville may get caught up in this mess as well as us!"

Soarin felt relived after what Mundy said. "Oh, thank Celestia." Then he listed to Heavy's idea. "Hmmm, not a bad idea. It's quiet and out of town. As long as no other pony hears us, I'm down with it. What about you guys?" Soarin asked. "Because we need to sort this thing out, fast." He added.

"Right, we must go!" Dmitri cried. "We do not have time. Quickly everypony! Let us go to Sweet Apple Acres." Dmitri led the way out of Twilight's library, bowing to her hurriedly as he left.

 

On the way, he turned to Dr Beifall. "Doctor, was there something you were looking to tell us," Dmitri asked her. "Outside of de Everfree Forest, you tried to say something but hesitated. What was it?" He smiled at her. "If you need hep, I will help you if I can."

Dennis followed them flying by their side. The moment he decided to fly the devices on his back started throwing more flames than usual. He stopped and decided to walk with them.

I know you guys might be friends with the owners so i won't question this for now. Regardless we should be careful wherever we go."

"Alright then." Soarin said. "Let's go! Catch you later Princess Twilight and Spike." Soarin added as he got up off the ground flapping his wings. He flew along with the gang towards the Apple Family Farm. He overheard Heavy speak. "Hopefully. What do you think Mundy?" Soarin asked.

'I think there's a chance, and I'll admit it's tiny, but there is a chance that she's probably is the one who's threatening us'

They kept walking as Soarin' flew towards Sweet Apple Acers, When they reached a point where they had to part, stopping Dmitri asks 

"You do not trust de Princess Celestia?"

"I did a bit of research into her past before we left Canter. Stole a folder of sorts before Del could see it. I respected the fact that Celestia was making changes to herself, repairing after what she did to that poor kid, I wanted Del to be able to trust her, so she could be trusted in return, so she could have a life. I thought I'd be an outsider to the ponies, be given jobs only though her good word, but I was wrong, I was given a life, a life under her education regime, and it took two and a bit years for me crack, always knowing why she cared so much that the young knew right from wrong, that they know morality, something she never had considered with that child..."

Sniper looked to the ground for a few moments, muttering a small blessing/verse for the fallen, then looking up again,

"Anyways, We better split. Look, I know Tia can be trusted, now, but she's lost most of my respect, why do you think I never call her by title, and usually by nickname? Good Luck Mate" he finishes and continues walking towards the Everfree.

(Oh No, Our Timeline! This Is Happening Quite A Bit After Engies Last Post)

Mundy was sitting on his couch, his home clean and clear, he was reading over notes from his teaching days, trying to figure out the mindset of whoever or whatever was threatening him and his friends and family, he hears a knock at the door.

'It's 'bout time she knocked, she's been standin' out there for a while'

"I'll be right with you!" He yells out, and closes the book of notes, putting the down on the floor beside the couch, hopping up and walking over too the door, acting as though he had no idea who was dropping by.

He opens the door,

"Oh! G'Day Tia, what brings you 'round my neck of the woods?"

'Ok, soooo that's a bit literal now'

"Hmm, Literally now isn't it Mundy" the regal Alicorn in front of him said as if reading his thoughts,

"Come in! Come in! Long time no see"

He says walking back over to the couch, beaconing her over as well, she shuts the door and takes a seat on a large cushion,

"Can I gets ya anything love? Tea? Coffee? Milo? Biscuits of some description? I think Scoots brought home some sorta energy drink which I'd prefer not go to her, Earth caution but its a good habit to have"

"Do you have any cake?"

Hold on I'll go check"

Mundy goes and opens cupboard, after some searching he pulls out a small orange and lemon party cake, he raises it so Celestia can see, asking,

"Will this do love?"

"Yes, that'll do lovely thank you, and a glass if I may"

"No worries"

He brings over the requested, placing them on the table before plopping down on the couch,

"So, what brings the, no doubt busy, Ruler of the land, to my little tree"

"Little? It's massive, and now it semi building to. Which brings me to the first topic I wish to discuss, Why, after three years of employment, did you just suddenly take off, unseen for just under two decades, and then show up again and settle down?"

"It's taken you a year to come and ask why I've gotten back into society?"

"You said yourself, I've been busy"

"I guess. Now then, why I came back, I ran into Zecora, another local non-pony, and literally ran into, she help me tend my wounds, after I had a few bad run ins with various creatures out there, then as part of repaying her, I went into town and helped out with her various task, as I didn't want to impose on Zecora again I said I'd fine somewhere else to stay the night, that turned out to be a under a tree in the park, lovely spot, for someone like me, that's when I found Scoots, if you remember the orange Pegasus who 'helped' unleash Disco the first time, she was also sleeping in the park, or at least that night she was, poor girl..."

"Filly"

"I'm tellin' the story not you. Anyway, poor FILLY was freezing, so I huddle up to her, at first she was scared, but then relaxed, the next day I talked with her, found out about her parents, asked why she wasn't in an orphanage, she said she was scared, and that she didn't want all thing things that came with being a known orphan, she had to go to school, so I went and get some bits from the bank, turns out I had saved quite a lot, and booked a hotel room, then offered her to stay with me there, she accepted, we got closer, one night as I tucked her in, she called me dad, the next day I had to send her to the orphanage, two days later I had all the paper work sorted out, on her birthday I presented the papers saying I had guardianship of her and we rented an apartment for a while, I was still helping Zecora when I came upon this tree, with a bit of help, Scoots and I turned this place into our home, that's why I came back, I fell in love, just not that love"

"That's lovely, I happy you've got family now, I'm happy she has family now too. Now I must be off, I have one more errand to run, then I've got a date, though she won't admit that it is"

She hops up and Mundy walks her to the door, opening it for her,

"Ooooo, The great and powerful Celly has a daaaate, who's the luck subject. That sounded better in my head"

Celestia laughs and answers,

"You know the librarian and alicorn Twilight Sparkle, she was my student, now she's my ally, but tonight she's my date, she even cooking for me"

She smiles as she walks out the door,

Mundy is about to tell her that he knows about her old experiments, when he stopped and thought of the effects, how it would ruin her night, probably Twilights too, so he stop himself and contently waved her off, closing the door once she was out of site.

Dmitri was sitting at home, looking through his old belongings from when the Team was last together. There were various weapons, precious belongings, and a strangely large amount of hats. As he sat eating a sandvich, he thought of the others. What would Celestia say to himself and Mundy, and what would happen when Twilight told her about the group meeting together again? He decided just to wait until something happened. Only time would tell...

Dennis and Delilah were walking outside Sweet Aplle Acres (hopefully thats not godmodding) "Hey Delilah... i... we never really got to know each other when we weren't fighting over a dozen whackos in the field. I remember you were a real spark. Even now i can see you are passionate about what you do... what drives you to this?"

Dmitri was still sitting in his basement looking at his old memories when there came a knock on the door. He sprang up. "It must be de Princess!" He cried. He galloped to the door and opened it to find Princess Celestia standing outside. He bowed to her. "Princess. It is good to see you!" He said to her politely. She smiled. "It is nice to see you too Dmitri. But I am afraid I have bad news. It cannot be discussed here. Could I come inside for a few minutes?" He opened the door and welcomed her in.

 

As Dmitri sat in the living room with the Princess, eating sandviches, Princess Celestia explained the situation. "As you know, when you came by accident to Equestria, you were mercenaries. I gave you new lives and new identities, and told you NOT to meet with your old friends." She emphasised the word "not" implying she "Don't worry! I am changing the rules now! You and your friends can meet again, but I will need your help. This is something that only your group of mercenaries could do. I have felt a dark presence appearing in Equestria, and even I do not know what it is. Just recently, I felt the darkness most strongly emanating from deep in the heart of the Everfree Forest. I want you and the others to find out what it is, and, if necessary, defeat it and keep Equestria at peace. I must go now, because I have a meeting with my student, Twilight. I know you and your friends will not disappoint me! Goodbye, Dmitri!" Dmitri then showed her to the door and she left for Canterlot. Dmitri sat down to think long and hard about it.

'So, she must be done with Dmitri, he should be here soon then'

He starts towards the farmhouse so he could be directed to his colleges.

He started to think about the team mates whose location he didn't know.

'I hope they haven't gotten themselves in trouble'
