Sunny Blue 39 April 21, 2013 Share April 21, 2013 So ... I did a picture of Derpy Hooves on Paint. It didn't all go how I'd like but, meh. I'm pretty happy with her cutie mark and her hooves and wings so that's fine. I'll do requests ... maybe, if I have time. Also, what are the best programmes to use when doing these kinds of thing? Thanks

And thank you again, you're very kind, and please tell your artist friend thanks as well It's a bit hard to use, so try paint.net first. If that doesn't have all the needed features, use GIMP (make sure you watch some tutorials). Also, do you have a drawing tablet? They're not too bad price wise if you don't have one. £40 (or your equivalent in your currency) for a decent one.

Unfortunately not, but I do have a steady hand, as long as there is a zoom in option on it I'll be fine (to neaten up edges and stuff)

Fluttershyfan94 5,742 April 21, 2013 Share April 21, 2013 (edited) Wow this looks really nice, good job. I would recommend using paint tool sai, you can get older versions for free.. I got an older version. Of course GIMP is also an option or photoshop, although if you have photoshop you can just use that instead of GIMP. I have all of those softwares but prefer paint tool sai. Paint tool sai, is rather easy too use and I know many use it. Batbrony 16,055 April 21, 2013 Share April 21, 2013 Oh, lovely, very lovely indeed! Colors are nice, Ms. Hooves is well drawn, all in all I have no complaints. ~Chaotic Fireball~ 499 April 21, 2013 Share April 21, 2013 (edited) You did THAT on paint? Wow! It looks so accurate! Talking about paint programs, I like to use Inkscape, but it works slightly diffently. If you want an actual program that you can draw lines and erase and so on, I'd say teh latest version of GIMP (no idea what it is now, since I have 2.8 ) Paintool SAI is also good, but it also costs quite a bit. Same with Photoshop. But you should probably be able to find a free version online or something. Flicker Sweet 3,391 April 25, 2013 Share April 25, 2013 Brilliant! I love the way it turned out! Keep making more! As for software and stuff, the only thing I know you should have is a drawing tablet.
