DR Leper Lupinstein 410 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 (edited) i just recently came up a good idea for a horror flick. the main character is a serial killer. He looks like you everyday kinda guy, but at night he likes to dress up in a novelty cop uniform and put on a creepy baby doll mask. His MO is targeting criminals with families, because he grew up in a really bad broken home with both parents being horrible people. He wanted to become a police officer but never passed his psyche eval. so dressed as a psycho cop he stakes out his victims and then goes to their house and kills them. Now, in one scene he takes out the parents in front of their little boy whose going hysterical before he silences the kid and hands him a sucker. he says to the kid through a voice scrambler "You're mom and dad we're bad people, but you look like a good kid. Don't ever change that." i think if i really put some work into it, that it would be awesome. so, tell me what you think. but, in the meantime, share your ideas with us. Fizz. 1,078 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 I have a few. One I'm keeping private because I'm already in the process of beginning a book of poems about it, but the other I'll share. I was sort of inspired by Pulp Fiction. Anyway, an assassin is hired by, depending on where I'd go for with this, either a vice-President of a Company, or the Vice President of the US, to kill his upper so he can succeed him. To get close enough to be able to do this, the assassin will have to start dating the President's daughter and all that. Anyway, he ends up accidently falling in love with her, and he's unable to kill the daughter's father. At the end, he would end up killing the VP at a ball or party of some type where he was supposed to kill the Pres., and then he'd end up getting either shot or arrested himself. Just a pet project for a movie. There's others I have in mind. ^^ http://alt="img-3411728-1-kQpW0ME.png">
Michael DeSanta 258 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 I a suspense story about where an average person not a action hero type is turned into a vigilante in a city like Chicago or new your he spent most of his time in a gated suburban community but after a traumatic event in where his family is murdered he exacts vigilante revenge on the low life thugs in society. It would be different from the punisher films because he is just an average joe the way he would kill people would be kind of still when he kills someone slow and professional would be his style. A good war film idea would be what if we had a second civil war and brother fought against his brother I mean how strong willed are we as a nation and would we fall apart. I mean imagine one peaceful suburbs riddled and torn to shreds by I.E.D.s, Tank rounds, Drone strikes gun fights in the streets and snipers killing each other. A long and bloody civil war but in todays times something on a scale no one could imagine when we think to villianize those we seem as hateful conservatives or rednecks or backwoods people when society breaks down and people are showing their true colors it would be a good idea. I BUKING LOVE AMERICA AND POLTICS. some wise quotes "An armed society is a polite society." "if it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg, It should not bother me if my fellow man believes that there are twenty gods or there is no god" Thomas Jefferson. Don't worry I'm a pinkie pie fan and I have my random moments of cupcakes.
Yamato 1,348 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 I had one a while back for a stupid comedy movie along the same lines as "Rubber". It was about a suburban man who one day wakes to find that his beloved lawn has become overrun by weeds. He must then use his weed-eater, his trusty Craftsman lawnmower, and a bottle of Round-Up to fight against the leafy menace. The ending was supposed to have a surprise twist as well. I was going to call it "Red Lawn". Consider it a commentary on middle-class America. Which brings me to my other lawn and garden themed film, a zombie movie that I was going to call "Lawn of the Dead". Pretty much about a guy who rides about on a Craftsman lawn tractor with a chainsaw killing zombies. I have the utmost faith in them... 3 This is the greatest OC of all time. Gears of Halo Duty V 394 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 Take WoW:Mists of Pandaria, put ponies into it, and make it into a movie. Discovering a new race with much to teach and a new land, a land that takes negative emotions and manifests it into physical enemies. Conflicts growing between the already known races (Griffons, Dragons, Ponies, Changlings, etc.), the overthrow of a powerful Leader grown corrupted with power and rage, battling against a master of a fearsome natural element, and requiring the banding of unlikely allies to overcome a new threat that seeks to disrupt the stability of life on the world. Seems like a solid movie to me.
Circadian 1,273 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 (edited) For My Little Pony, Twilight is manipulated into releasing an ancient evil. The former ruler of a distant star system, Alpha Centari. That's his name, and also the star system. He has similar mannerisms to the Didact. Either that, or do something cool with the ascension of the royal sisters. I'd also like to see the Smooze, but I doubt they'll bring that back. :/ For my own movie, it's called Adelbrect. The film is an action/comedy involving inter-dimensional espionage that pokes fun at global politics. I was going to call it "Red Lawn". Good god Lemon... Dark Moon 965 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 (edited) I'd also like to see the Smooze, but I doubt they'll bring that back. :/ Forget the Smooze, go strait to Cthulhu. MLP Movie: (King) Sombra Strikes Back-basically the return of Sombra and his evil to the land, possibly a partial parody of the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back. It would be epic to see unicorn sabers. My Movie: Nothing is Everything: The story of a complete loser/loner (possibly has Aspergers) who doesn't even fit into the fringe groups of society and his/her story of going through life. Would be really philosophical and deep and possibly end with some kind of cliff hanger/ambiguous ending. I can feel the 12 Academy Awards already. I like how this pic applies to my real movie as well. Edited April 27, 2013 by Conbon

Ohh Ohh I haz another idea A movie based off the conversion bureau pony version by the way. Celestia begins to declare war on humanity after the human liberation front destroys a conversion plant. After this of course the war becomes long and bloody till many of celestias supporters turn including the second princess and celestia becomes evil through war andhas to be stopped after that war a 150 years have passed humans and pony kind morphed into anthro creatures and celastias ancient evil is arise again so reincarnations of the main six have to save the world. Yamato 1,348 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 Good god Lemon... Yeah, I thought about calling it "Fescue Me" or "In Sod We Trust", but I don't think they had quite the ring to them, you know? I mean, "Red Lawn" was just so perfect. It even connotated the themes of invasion that I wished to convey. 2 This is the greatest OC of all time. Not sure the world is quite ready for something of this magnitude. Oh heavens no it is not going to be an 80s vision of the future nor a Bruce willis film of the future. For the most part people would still be dressed relatively the same nylon jumpsuits and visor shades were last century's style. The future would kinda be retro futuristic reminiscing jetsons a bit but with the flair of Babylon ad with magical capabilities. 1 I BUKING LOVE AMERICA AND POLTICS. some wise quotes "An armed society is a polite society." Thrashy 2,800 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 I can't be bothered to dig through my piles of paper to find a multitude of examples right now, but the adventures my friends and I would run through whenever we'd get together to play tabletop RPGs (usually FFRPG) were always a freakin' riot, and there were certainly plenty of unique plot elements, funny character moments, and general epicness that if we were to write a movie around it all, it would probably be far more creative than what Hollywood's been farting out lately. But just picture this for a trailer: Establishing shot of deserted city streets. The heroes stand shoulder to shoulder, squaring off against a severe-looking ninja master, who looks as though he could take all of them in a fight simultaneously. The heroic wizard then steps forth and casts a spell, causing a pillar of green smoke to envelop the ninja. After the smoke clears, all that can be seen in the place where he stood...is a pig. The heroes all exchange a glance as if to say, "We got this." The pig then immediately leaps forward to crane-kick the nearest mo' fo' half way across the block. The heroes exchange a follow-up glance as if to say "We're boned." The beginnings of an epic fight ensue before the screen cuts to black. Silly? Sure. Nerdy? To the max. More worth seeing this summer than any Michael Bay blockbuster? You bet yer sweet flanks it is!

An Old Head 4,816 April 27, 2013 Share April 27, 2013 Where a serial murderer commits suicide and his son has to live with the mother whose son was a victim of the serial murderer. There would be loads of mixed emotions based around the idea of feelings of fraudulence or substitution, all of which I had no clue how to put into a script. Veylon 255 April 28, 2013 Share April 28, 2013 I always wanted to do one on the Apocalypse. You take our main character, who's an everyman who's become disillusioned by the day-to-day politics and is recruited by a mysterious, charismatic figure to be one of the first to join a resistance movement against it. Much is made of the dissolution and depravity of modern-day society, which the movement plays up as a war between good and evil. It's extremely organized, well-led, and eventually, through both moral appeals and precision strikes, manages to gain the upper hand. The charismatic figure gains ever greater stature through victory after victory and becomes revered as a messiah. He begins to look and sound ever more Christ-like until his followers believe him to truly be the second coming. And then the masks come off. Our protagonist discovers that he has not only not liberated America for God, but delivered it into the hands of the anti-Christ who uses his devoted followers to systematically oppress and persecute those who do not worship him and express his values of vengeance, hatred, and cruelty. He uses common conspiracy theories to whip up his followers, convincing them that they do battle against Satanic cults and determined unbelievers. And....I don't really know how to end this. It'd almost have to be something horribly depressive where Our Hero comes to realize that he's abandoned all of the values he once believed in and has no choice but to continue to pretend that he fervently believes that his boss is the Messiah. Unless he wants to do something self-sacrificing for which he'd suffer a horribly cruel death or something.
AndrewsarchusJones 13 April 28, 2013 Share April 28, 2013 For any of you thinking about turning your story ideas about something, I would suggest you not tell us completely about what happens. It happens a lot that when writers paraphrase their story completely that they swiftly lose interest. They've already told the story to people, so there is no desire to see it through fully developed. It's not a guarantee you'll loose interest but something you might want to keep in mind. It's something a writing forum I go to advises, as this has happened to many of their members. To answer the question, yes. I hope to have my own movie studio to see my screenplays and graphic novels to creation. I have a few projects I'm working on now. I don't really feel like going into them. To the OP's story: I think you need to come up with a theme, a 'why' you're telling us a story. Stories always have points, look at FiM, they always have moral and this moral dictates how the story plays out. It's like an armature that the story hangs upon. I think your story would do well with a theme that questions upbringing and if we would turn out similar if we were brought up the same way. That is a scary thought. But the theme needs a definite conclusion, I think(?), perhaps 'We are the product of our upbringing' and you support that theme throughout the story. I'm still struggling with theme, but I recommend Brian McDonald's 'Invisible Ink' if you want to pursue writing it.

Is the story being taken at face value, because this has the potential for a lot of depth. Like, if the guy's sense of moral absolutism makes Judge Dredd blush, and many of the people he kills aren't even guilty of that bad of a crime. Perhaps the kids are worst of now then what they were before he showed up and murdered their families. They did something similar in Super, where Dwight from The Office whacks everyone he sees with a wrench. Onwards to my DeviantArt page! Sig by the illustrious Kyoshi! That's a plot, not theme. ET has a plot about an alien and a kid, but the theme is really about empathy(what specifically about empathy, I can't remember). All great screenplays dramatizes a lesson.
