Ohai there everypony! ;P

I went on a walk today through this meadow close to my house, and for whatever reason I decided to relay the experience through story, as a sort of writing exercise, or something. SO...*le clears throat*

You enter a meadow, a sweet field of tall grass, rolling innocently over the hills. Trees scatter the landscape, dark pires of black emerald, piercing the otherwise unbroken hills. Above you is a thick, puffy blanket of clouds, not obscuring the sky with its presence but sharing it, mingling with it. Far in the distance, below the clouds, sits a hazy glow of crimson lilac. The sun will set soon enough, and dusk will blow out that sweet golden candle, but this timeless twilight carries eternal bliss.

A cool breeze flows past you, not in a howl nor a whistle but in a gentle murmur. The stalks of the plants beneath you bend into the wind, letting its soft touch brush them, wholly relaxed--they know the wind would not hurt them, though it is within its capacity. High chirps echo all across the meadow; the innocent singing of the birds does not shatter the silence and the tranquility, but rather resonates with it, creating an atmosphere of blissful harmony.

You walk forward through the endless meadow--not speedily, not rushed; you have no real destination in mind. Of course, such a meadow as this has definite borders, but to a humble passerby it is eternal.

As you walk forward, you look down and a frown siezes your lips; your forehead becomes ruffled with creases. A vine stretches up above the tall grass, covered in thorns. A though briefly flickers in your mind to crush the vine; destroy it and all like it so no others could trip and fall.

But who are you to destroy an integral part of this beautiful meadow? The vine was here before you were. It did not know that its existence would bother you. So, with little difficulty, you step over the vine, letting your zealous thoughts drift away on the breeze. You stand still for another minute, letting the purity of the moment wash over you; you spin around one last time to savor the serenity of nature.

Far in the west, gold turns to crimson as dusk once again descends over the earth. The pure white clouds have turned ashen gray.

It's time to go home.

Does u liek? :3 It certainly does not have any symbolic undertones or metaphors inspired by any controversial subjects within the fandom at all.

That's pretty much it. Didn't want to post as a fanfic like I do with most of my stories, because it's not really poni fanfiction. Ooh, speaking of poni fanfiction...

<shameless self promotion>

I'm currently working on a really cool project called Wisp, which imma publish in exactly one month, and I'm keeping it a secret for some reason or other, except for the first paragraph which imma release as a preview:

Beneath the black curtain of the starless midnight sky a lone stallion walked, heading towards the fiery dawn which lay beyond the unreachable horizon. The dawn's brilliant rays of gold that would someday swathe the land in warmth and life were nonexistent to him, a fantasy that lay dead with his spirit. Far above his field of vision lay a tear in the sky's curtain where the moon had ripped from the core of the sky; her ever-watchful eye had disappeared over a millennium ago. Below the empty sky corruption reigned, rising from the depths and the ashes, invisible to the naked eye.

Have a nice night, everypony! Or day, as it were ;)
