Powderpuff 390 May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 (edited) I've had some peers give me brohoofs or get into a conversation about FiM from seeing the crystal Rainbow Dash keychain I have on my school ID. Also, another girl who is surprisingly enough a pegasister (what she calls herself) who I've gotten to be friends with, through pony talk and being in a very small class of like, six people for a semester. I personally have not had any negative experiences directed toward me due to me liking My Little Pony. I've run across some, ah...less than perfect examples of overly enthusiastic bronyism run rampant, but never anyone that's had a bad or not-nice reaction to me liking the show I don't have the time now, but I gotta bookmark this thread so I can come back and read everyone's responses! I love stories like these. Edited May 10, 2013 by Powderpuff
Verily British 145 May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 I've only been a brony for a few weeks now but I am utterly engrossed by the show and the Fan Fictions and art and music, and every once and a while whilst I'm browsing this forum listening to Nightmare Night by Glaze and Mic and writing my own Fan Fiction I'll just have one of those moments where I'm just blown away by all that we've accomplished and it is that uplifting feeling of happiness that makes being a brony just one of the most enjoyable things that I've ever experienced. As for public reactions I live in a part of England where you can't really express an opinion that doesn't meet the social norm and expect positive reactions in public I mostly get neutral reactions or the occasional 'You're a clopper' reaction, but as soon as I get a positive reaction I'll be back to this thread right away to tell everypony. fimdash 1,196 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 I sometimes get compliments when I wear mlp apparel. In fact, a friend of mine told me that she liked my Rainbow Dash shirt earlier today feels good
Mudkip 100 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 Today while I was playing the greatest game of Starcraft I ever held on a L.A.N. network, the entire computer club broke out singing "Discord" by Living Tombstone. What was weird was that there were only 2-3 bronies there counting myself.
BronyBob55 31 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 I've never had any real positive or negative. I own minimal merchandise but I do hope to get more. Some of my friends where a little shocked but that was the only thing I count as negative.
Arylett Charnoa 4,919 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 I'd say my most positive experience AS A RESULT of getting into ponies was meeting Mister Helikloppterman, who I have now craved out a nice relationship type thing with. That was super awesome, and I'm thankful I was lucky enough to meet him through something as silly as ponies. Other than that though? I can't think of any more direct experiences. As I've said multiple times, ponies just aren't really that much of an important thing in my life. Aether Velvet is the name of the OC in my avatar. Drawn by me. sparklechic 54 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 My favorite positive moment was probably just last week when i went to the local trading card store since i was getting back into playing the pokemon tcg and while playing against the cashier another customer came up to me and was like That is so true Luna is Best Princess! (i was wearing that shirt at the time) and we brohoofed. while doing this other people noticed and apparently there were 3 other bronies in the store that noticed who also came over to brohoof me. So it was pretty awesome

~Master~ Button Mash 2,307 May 15, 2013 Share May 15, 2013 I've had a couple. The first one was when I was walking back to my dorm and I was wearing my Steampunk Ponies shirt, and walking in the opposite direction was a girl who shouted "brohoof." I shouted it back, obviously. I wish we had time to talk, I have yet to see her again. Another time was at the movie theaters when I was wearing the Pinkie Pie Portal shirt. The ticket taker was a bit distracted while tearing my ticket. Then when he finished he looked at me and said, "And nice shirt, brony." We brohoofed, talked a bit about S3. Awesome night. And my absolute favorite. Other than that I get countless compliments about my shirts. Just yesterday I was at Jimmy Johns and I had the Pinkie Pie Portal shirt on, and the guy taking my order said it was "dope." Not sure if he's a brony or a portal fan, or both, but either way, it always feels good to get a compliment. It can really make a day.
