Catherine took a seat across from Angie and looked out the window at the tarmac, waiting for Jack to get them back in the air again. She turned to Angie and said, "So Angie, how did you know I had Applejack?"

"Ah, this is gonna be so awesome!" Sam pulled AJ into the front room and sat down on the couch with her, then turned on the tv and showed AJ season 2, episode 15

Applejack sat beside her on the couch, looking on the moving-picture-box intently. Lots of colors moved across the screen until she noticed something. Her eyes went wide. "What the hay? That's me!" she exclaimed, leaning forward to see better. "And Big Mac! And Applebloom! What's goin' on, Sammy?" She was shocked. Had somepony been watching her?

Alex scoffed and furrowed his brow. "First you burn me, then i tell you everything, and THEN you refuse to make ME, the person you BURNT, bacon... Look at what the world is coming to" he said sarcastically. But seriously, he was quite mad. 'Hey, i burnt you and still got to know everything i wanted to know, lets just not cook bacon again to make up for that! Pfft...'. He folded his arms across his stomache and huffed.

She shrugs and sits back in her chair, glancing around the cabin before looking back to Cat, "Twilight had a dream, or something, that told her where Applejack was. Pretty simple, really."

She stepped on the gas a little harder than she wanted to once the light turned green, but slowed down once she regained her composure. Good thing there wasn't a cop around! She's teasing you, ya moron! Rainbow mane doesn't mean she's gay!

Fluttershy watched Jonathon for most of the rest of the day, scratching his back and behind his ears. She wondered what it would be like to have her ears scratched when she was a pony--her human ears were tiny flattened things that she forgot about most of the time. 

She watched some more show. It was a little like flipping through a scrapbook, albeit a scrapbook that has a few of one's most embarrassing memories in it and is being shown to a roomful of strangers at a party--but nevertheless, she couldn't help feeling a little nostalgia. It made her miss Ponyville even more even as it made it easier to bear.

Could she stay here? Could she not stay here? Maybe she shouldn't have ever been here to begin with. These people didn't need her in their life. If she was just making things worse...

When it was getting dark and Magneus still wasn't home, she glanced out the window, hoping to see him come in.

Rainbow leaned back and put her arms behind her head with a wise expression, nodding. "Yup. I'm pretty used to nerds, though. Ugh. Like you wouldn't believe. As far as they come, you aren't too bad. Hay, nowhere near as bad as that time I went to that Daring Do convention with the hat, and then..." Open mouth. Insert hoof. Or whatever. Just--just shut up and enjoy the car ride, that's a good pony. "So, where we goin' again?"

Diliges gives a slightly disbelieving face before looking at the mirror, "Huh... Well this is a completely new thing entirely." He says, examining his new appearance as best he can in the small mirror. He goes to stand, stumbling slightly, before getting the hang of it. Being a Changeling, he was used to adapting to new forms quickly, a trait that seemed to carry through to this.. 'Human' thing.

 

He looks at his surroundings, placing one hand on the nearby tree lest he lose his balance. He looks back at the woman, "So... where exactly are we now?"

Clare was confused now. Was this guy for real? "We're in America. I'm actually from England, but I have a house sitting job at the moment so I'm living here for the next six months. My name's Clare. What's yours? And where do you come from where you don't know what a human is, and where America is?"

"America and England, eh?" Diliges says, adopting her accent perfectly, "I was going to say you sounded like you were from Trottingham..." - "I've run my mouth more than I should have. I'm a long way from Equestria it seems. Guess there's no sense in hiding it, really. If she doesn't recognize a Changeling when she sees when, even if I am in this strange form... It feels to normal to be a transformation." He thinks to himself.

 

He looks at Clare as she introduces herself, "Clare? I would say that's an odd name, but chances are you'll say the same about mine, and I've been rude enough already. I am called Diliges. And I come from a land called Equestria, where humans don't exist and America was never heard of. Does that answer your questions?" He says, raising an eyebrow.

"Ohh~! So you DO attended conventions?? What happened??" Colette asked, more than eager to jump on the knowledge that Rainbow Dash did indeed have a streak of Dork in her!

 

"We're heading to Racine Harbor," Colette answered. "But in order to see the coolest spot there, us gotta tell me something about your friends… Let's start with Cloudkicker and why she'd say she wore pants! It can't be that bad!"

Alex called his work and told him he couldn't come. He asked Aly if she wanted to stay home, but she didn't want feelings to stop her from working, so she had gone.

 

Alex spent most of his time in his room, since the burns prevented him from most physical activity.

 

Magneus did the normal. Went to work, went back to the hotel, had some food, look a nap, then once he woke up it was about 7:15PM. He decided it would be a good enough time to head back to the apartment. He got the hotel for two nights, but that didn't matter.

 

As he was walking up to the apartment building, he was approached by a friend he hadn't seen in a long time. She was a bit shorter than Magneus and thinner. She had long blonde hair and green eyes. She was wearing a turquoise hoodie with a black shirt underneath, deep blue jeans and white sneakers. She spoke with an Irish accent (Yes there is a difference between Scottish and Irish). "Magneus, is that you? I haven't seen you for ages! How have you been?" the girl asked as she moved in front of him and crossed her arms. (By the way, Fluttershy would be able to see them) "You're looking good. Gone to the gym at all since we last spoke?" she added without letting Magneus answer the first question. "No. I was just about to head into my apartment actuall-" "Aw cmon! Take a minute to talk to an old friend. You don't have to go, do ya?" she said with a wry smile. "No... i suppose not. So how have you been Miranda?" "Pretty good. I'm just visiting grandparents, but it gives us a chance to catch up. Are you still friends with- Eugh... Alex?" she asked, struggling just to even pronounce his name. "Yes. Why?" he inquired. "Ugh, he's a jerk, thats why. I don't see how you can stand him" she said with disgust. "He isn't a jerk to Aly and me." He shrugged and noticed her staring at something behind him.

He turned his head around, but saw nothing. He looked back at her and raised a brow. "Uh, you okay?" he asked and waved a hand in front of her face. She looked at him and nodded. "Yeah... i was just thinking about Sarah and Palin... Those sort of things kind of get burnt into your mind. Sorry for mentioning it" she apologized with a shrug. She sighed and looked Magneus in the eyes. "Its okay, i was already a bit down anyway..." he said and started walking inside again. Miranda stopped him by putting a hand on his chest and stepping in front of him. "Hey, you need any cheering up?" she asked and started moving her hand down his body. "We could head back to my place and have a bit of fu-" "Sorry" he cut her off and took her hand off his stomach "Its not happening" he said and pushed past her, continuing his previous destination inside. "Seriously? You're the first guy i've ever had refuse that" "And hopefully your last" he responded darkly and the doors closed behind him. Miranda sighed and kept walking to wherever she was heading.

 

Magneus opened the door to the apartment and went inside. He walked over to the couch and laid down on the couch, landing with a 'pomf'. He grabbed a pillow cushion and pushed it up against his face. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH ALL THE GIRLS IN THIS CITY" he yelled into it.

Oh, thank goodness! Fluttershy dropped the new ban@@Hypn0ticD, dages she was putting away and ran to Magneus, kneeling by the couch and checking him over to make sure he was okay. He didn't look like he'd got hurt.

"Magneus-we-were-all-so-worried-when-you-left-and-I-had-no-idea-where-to-look-for-and-I-know-you're-upset-but-please-don't-do-that-again!...." She stopped for breath. "Sorry. I'm glad you're okay."

"Egh!" Rainbow pressed her face to the window--not knowing of the magic of window-opening devices--to get a look at the harbor. A stiff wind was blowing through an open window near the front, and Rainbow could feel it tousel her hair with a salty breath. Griffon eggs on a sandwich, that felt good. Maybe this would be a good break.  But...

"Geeze, who's gettin' intrusive. Maybe I'll make a pony outta' you yet," Rainbow grumbled. "This place had better be real good, and I'm only answering one of those questions!"

Make me a Pony!" she said as she too took a look at the harbor. The curve of beach, the speedboats in the water, the generally relaxed atmosphere of the people enjoying the sun and sand... Colette truly wished Rainbow Dash would enjoy herself here! "I wanna know why Cloudkicker said she wore pants when Ponies normally don't wear them... Is it...?" looking around as if anyone would hear her, she continued, "Is it something sexual??"

Magneus stood up and lifted Fluttershy so she was standing, then he pulled her into an embrace. "You don't need to say anything, i do... I'm sorry. I'm sorry that i overreacted and stormed out. I left both you and Aly without giving a chance for discussion, and that was wrong. I hope you can forgive me..." Once he finished his apology he let go of her and looked her in the eyes. He felt better from apologising, but he still felt terrible.

You would have liked them i think... father liked hunting a lot but besides that he liked exploring, he liked nature and how all things grew up. Colette's cheeks then puffed out as she was no longer able to hold back her laughter, threw her head back and guffawed." Ha ha ha ha ha!! Hol-lee shit! Pony nymphos and bondage! Wo-ha-hoaw!" Colette continued have a good laugh for a moment more before settling down. "Is there some form of Pony Shibari??" After another fit of laughter, she put a hand on Rainbow's shoulder, patting it a little. "And here, I thought I was going to destroy YOUR innocence! It's sort of a relief!"

Diliges nods slowly, glancing around the neighborhood, "I see," He says, dropping the accent and returning to his normal one, "I would much rather not be detained for just waiting around."

 

Once they were in the house, he took in the interior with a single panoramic glance. It wasn't quite the same as Equestrian homes, but certainly had some similarities. Then Clare rounded on him, stating he couldn't be a Changeling, as they only existed in myths and something called a cartoon, and stated he must have been taking something, "Well, obviously not seriously." He says, crossing his arms and furrowing his brow, "I am not 'on' anything other than these." He says, gesturing to his feet.  

He was about to say more when what she said actually registered to him. For one thing, she mentioned something about babies - that must be the human word for foal - being kidnapped and replaced by a Changeling. Not to far off from how he was raised. Then there was something about the "cartoon"'s name... My Little Pony. Diliges gave Clare a very confused look, "Well, you're not to far off on the first bit. But what is this... My Little Pony show? It has Changelings in it, obviously, since you actually do seem to know something about my race... but how? I've never heard anything about your kind before today."

This one... lets just say it was sung upon hard times. But then came the light... and just like that i feel that i saw the light today. I call it... "Give me a reason to be saved". Some words may require changing to apply in this world." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a moment. It was a slow, ballad song and despite the lack of instruments there was music in her voice to be heard that could make the others chill from hearing it.

She searched out part two of the episode "A Canterlot Wedding" on youtube and showed it to him.

 

"There," she said. "Those are changelings."

Jack took off from the airfield, and headed right back to San Diego. As usual, Tyler took control, and Jack came back into the cabin to talk with everyone.
