Catherine watched Jack as he sobbed with an air of sympathy. She stroked his back a few times before working her way down beside him on the bed, wrapping her arms around his shoulders slightly, "Just speak when you're ready."

Upon nearing the bench where Dash and Dennis were seated, Logan slowed his stride, slowly coming to a stop. He refrained from crossing his arms, his habitual go-to idle stance and glanced at Applejack, "Seems like someone beat you to it. Do you want to hang around and wait until he's done to talk to her, or just head out awhile?"

Jack felt the warmth of her body against his, and held her tightly. He finally calmed down enough to speak to her.

"Catherine..." he said, weakly, "I... I'm not a quitter... I hope you know that. I'm not giving up for them. I can't!"

He was still trying to formulate words, but at this point, managed to gain enough control to at least talk to her.

"Ummm..." Colette said as she blinked. Okay, maybe this wasn't going to be as easy as she thought! "You use your hands for this game. Here, lemme show ya!"

 

After showing showing Flutters the extreme basics of  how to hold the paddle, Colette moved on to showing the Pegasus how to play.

 

Something was off, however. She was SCORING. That almost never happens!  Sure, Fluttershy got in a goal or two, but Colette had a definite lead. "Hey, Flutters, ya having fun?? We can stop if you want!"

Charles began to thinking as that if he go with Rarity to Equestria, then he will live with her too but he wounded if Nick want to go since he was going love daze over Pinky and thinking about it too. Also decide talk to nick see if he want to come with him to equsteria and so this way he can be with Pinky.

 

Nick heading to the Arcade to play them racing games as he was good at video games and his Dad is good too. But only in Basketball, football, Wrestling and baseball game too.

Fluttershy focused hey eyes on the bouncing white disc, sliding her handle across the table to intercept it and sending it demurely skiing across the board. "Mm-hm! This is fun!"

She looked up at Colette, and missed the puck rocketing into her goal the second she was distracted. "Oh--say, Colette?" Fluttershy bent down to pick the puck out of the drawer. "Did any of the other...did any of us, from Equestria, like these games too?"

"Yeah, sure, what the heck." Rainbow Dash forced herself off the bench. "Let's grab AJ, though, if you don't mind. I'd just...rather have 'er around right now." She sent a brief glare to the side, as if to say, and it's none of your business to ask me why.

 

"AJ, we're going to find Fluttershy. Did you see which way she went with...they're always together right now, aren't they?"

Colette smiled as Fluttershy let her know she was enjoying herself. "I don't really know, to be honest," Colette answered, "But Dash played got into a game on my laptop once when I wasn't looking. Like REALLY got into it! Maybe she'll get into some a' the arcade games as well??"

 

Colette then sent the puck sailing back into Fluttershy's goal yet again. "One more game?? There's another game I'd like to show you!" Colette asked as she spotted Claire walking in with the Changelings, heading over to the Super Street Fighter machine. Hee hee hee, With a little luck, Colette might be able to show Fluttershy how to troll other Street Fighter players Dankukyaku style!

Twilight followed Colette into the arcade, where she was instantly met with the sound of bells, jingles, and a ridiculously loud song bellowing "DAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA LET'S GO AWAY! DAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" (Daytona USA, that game was my fucking childhood)

"Oh..." Twilight muttered, quite amazed at the wide collection of games available. "So... where do we start?"

Her question was answered when Colette and Fluttershy played a game of air hockey with each other.

Nick went to the need for speed game since he did have a job as a Bagger for Mijers and also His Uncle give him $300 On his birthday too. Then he went to Need For Speed Arcade game as he enter, put the coins into the Slot then began to playing as he passing other cars and then got first place. Then he keep playing it again as he was good at it too.

And I have a feeling she'll want to keep herself as far away as possible from Jack for awhile."

Logan had stayed a few steps back behind Applejack as she conversed with Rainbow. It was just a habitual thing that he'd started doing when he wasn't directly involved in a conversation. As such, when Applejack addressed him, asking whether or not he would aid in the search for their friend, he stepped up beside her, nodding, "Of course I'll help."

 

Was all he could really think to say. He was keeping a small eye on the clock. There was still time, so he didn't really care to much about distractions just yet.  Again, Logan went to cross his arms but refrained. It was a mixture of habit, and the unconscious need to be prepared. Despite the fact that it was unrelated to the topic at hand, he decided he'd have to take the time to modify the torso holster he wore into a waist holster. Efficiency was key in most anything a Keiffer did. The officer gestured towards the door, "Let's get searching then."

She turned to pick the puck up from the shelf, setting it on the table before addressing Twilight again. "You got that right! Hopefully, Jack should cool off enough for him not to kill Dash! In the meantime, wanna go check out what Claire is doing?? I was gonna show Fluttershy anyhow!"

He follows them both and just to spring up a conversation he asks "So how do you like our world Applejack? Do you like it?" It was interesting to learn about their impressions of the humans.

"Oh, I scored!" Flutterhsy giggled and scrubbed her puck across the table. "This is fun, Colette. Much nicer than the...oh, what were they? The zombles." 

She found herself staring, just a little, as she looked across the table to her opponent. While Colette twisted to talk to Twilight, her bangs were flung across the back of her neck, revealing a cord of muscles and smooth skin. Necks weren't as long or as big of a deal when you were human, Fluttershy mused, but...eep! Why did she find herself looking there? Maybe that wasn't polite...

Then she struggle to keep her eyes down. "I'd love to come, Twilight. We should try to get everyone back togther. I'd hate for anyone to get lost."

"I have to do what's best," Jack responded, more coherently as the emotions that the rage left began to fade, slowly. "I can't just leave them with empty promises like that. This IndyCar stint... I might never get another chance for a long time. It all meant so much to me... and now it's gone, like that."

He made a quick motion with his hand, signifying how it up and vanished into thin air.

She looked around the arcade a bit more, and eyes the trivia game shoved all the way in the corner. However, she knew Fluttershy wasn't much of an egghead, and probably didn't have much knolwedge of the human world, as well.

"Do you think we should check on Jack?" Twilight asked. "He wanted to be left alone with his marefriend, er, girlfriend, but do you think he'd be feeling better by now?"

"Zombies? Oh! Right!" Colette said as she turned back around to face Fluttershy. She'd almost forgotten about the game she showed her the night before "Heh heh, yeah! Come on, you two. I wanna show you another game. Follow me!"

 

Looking over to Claire, and seeing that she was indisposed, Colette led both Ponies to one of her favorite games that didn't involve violence, zombies, or anything else that'll scare the life out of Fluttershy. Hell, maybe even the Great and Mighty Rainbow Dash might like it, due to the difficulty curve, as well as some of the songs!

 

"Jack seemed pretty upset, so let's give 'im a little more time," Colette said as she led the two mares over to a machine that looked almost entirely different than the others. Instead of the typical joystick and buttons, there were two large metal pads with pink and blue arrows with a large metal bar in the back.

Pinkie Pie was getting impatient. She was tired of waiting and decided to go to the arcade where everypony else was.

Clare smiled. She was in fact very good at Super Street Fighter 4, despite only maining three players and had often annoyed male friends when they challenged her by beating them roundly. "I'll have a go against the machine first," she said to Diliges. "You can watch me play, then press the 2up button to join in. Each character has different moves; I only play three characters, so people are often shocked when I beat them."

 

Clare put a coin into the machine and it started up. She chose Juri as her character and the computer character was Ryu. Clare didn't always use the special moves, but she was very good at the game. Soon, she had beaten the computer. "My best mate Paul gets really annoyed whenever I do that cartwheel move," Clare said with a laugh. "He once made me switch from Juri to Vega cuz I beat him four times running. Then I beat him again as Vega and he went all sulky and said we had to play something else. He's such a sore loser."

 

Cicada watched with a smile on her face. A fighting game was definitely up her street.

Twilight eyes the strange machine, trying to figure out what it was supposed to do.

"What the hay is this thing?" Twilight asked, staring at the arrows on each of the two metal mats. "How are you supposed to use that thing?!"

Sure, Twilight has seen arcade games before, but never anything like this. This didn't have any conventional control sticks or buttons. Nothing. She was clearly puzzled, and had doubts about it doing whatever it did well.

Diliges watched Clare playing the game in curious silence, his hands folded behind him in the same 'at attention' stance he'd observed people he'd assumed were soldiers doing. He spent some of his attention on trying to memorize the movements of Clare's fingers, so he might imitate them. Once a Changeling, always a Changeling, after all.

 

He couldn't help but feel amused at Clare's retro long of how she'd repeatedly bested a friend of hers. Of course, the names of the characters meant nothing to Diliges, but he didn't comment on that. Instead he stepped up to the machine, inspecting the controls as he spoke, "Well, personally I'm fine with being bested. Just goes to show that you can still get better at something, after all."

 

He places his hands on the console, "Alright... Let's give this a shot, shall we?"

 

(I've never actually played an Street Fighters, so Diliges lack of knowledge is akin to my own )

"Easy sounds good..." FLuttershy climbed warily up onto the panels, feeling quite put on the spot to stand on a platform in front of everyone. It reminded her a little too much of certain catwalks, but since COlette seemed to want her to, she stood up and placed her feet unevenly over the arrows. "So...what do I do now?" A set of high-volume instrumental noises startled her like landmines as soon as her feet touched the squares, leaving her braced up against the balance bar in the back and spreading her feet on teh edge of the device.

Twilight watched the screen carefully as the arrows rose to the top. Right when the left arrow was in a good spot, Twilight stepped on the left pad, as Colette instructed. She continued, hitting the arrows with relative ease, although it was a relatively simple song, or so it seemed.

"Wow... that was... quite easy," Twilight said. But then more arrows began to fill the screen, and she found herself frantically stomping around to hit the arrows. Left and right! Up and down! Up and right! Right and left! Hold the right, stomp the left, and then hold up!!! It was quite a sight to see, Twilight bouncing all over the place with her feet AND hands, trying to hit the arrows pads.

"BAD! BAD! BAD! AWFUL! OK. GREAT! AWFUL! BAD!" Those words quickly began to fill the screen, and Twilight just couldn't keep up.

"At least I thought I had it..." Twilight said after the final score was displayed on the screen, chuckling. "Not at all like traditional dancing, I'd say."

(OOC: I used to do quite a lot of Dance Dance Revolution. Might have the dance pad for my PS2 somewhere. Gonna have to try and dig that out, along with my Dreamcast this weekend)
