When Rarity heard the siren, she froze, but only for a moment. "Come on, girls," she hissed. "We've got to get away from here. We'll find someplace to hide first, and then we'll figure out what to do. But we can't stay by the door. Somepony will find us here!"

 

Rarity was determined that they would not get captured again. She planned to use her magic in an offensive manner if she possibly could; Louise had shown her it was possible. And they were all still in their ninja outfits so would not be as visible as before. She pulled at Rainbow's arm.

 

"Come on," she said. "We can find a secluded place for Fluttershy to go; maybe behind a tree or something."

Louise had already left the building, turning a new plan over in her head. She'd known full well that her hack wouldn't last forever and that the power would soon be back, but she had covered her tracks well enough so she wouldn't be found out as the instigator. Now tho, she was heading to her car. Perhaps the ponies could be persuaded to trust her once more...

Colette waithed the door a moment even after Catherine left, wiping off newly formed tears. There was sooo much going on! First Jack, then the Ponies, now Cat… Colette did her best not to break down and cry a third time as she finally set out to tidying up her her room for her newest guest before sitting down on her bed and leaning back, staring off into the far wall…

"Fuck that, just RUN!" Rainbow Dash seized the hands of the others and took off for the woods, yanking by large all of them behind stumbling to keep up as she took off for the woods. As far as Dash was concerned, the farther they got away from here, the better.

"We'll bring the queen back along with the others, Dennis. You have my word... Who knows? Maybe she can provide sine assistance after we manage to free 'er?" There was a pause before he spoke again. "Why don't you call Colette in the meantime?? She was there with you, right? She could prolly use some cheering up right about now…"

Catherine wiped her eyes, even though she was still in the shower, then stood up and got out of the shower. She wrapped the towel around herself after drying off and walked back into Colette's room. She sat down behind her and put her hands on Colette's shoulders. "I'm sure everything will be alright. Don't worry about it right now." She lightly massaged her shoulders for a while, before saying, "I hope I wouldn't be imposing if I asked to sleep in here with you."

@, @@Hypn0ticD,"Guess... guess i could do that." he paused for a moment not saying anything just thinking a bit. When he came back he said. "Stephen... stay safe okay? I wish you the best of luck..." he said as he prepared to hung up. After they closed the phone he thought about it for a moment... should he call Col? Was it late? Would he disturb her? No matter... it was worth a shot... Col was in the same spot as him, she too had lost a loved one and would definately need some help. Maybe by comforting her he would find the strength to overcome what had happened. He waited a bit... then he dialed her number waiting a response from her. If she didn't answer he guessed he would sleep and make a visit the next day.

"TRANK THEM WHEN YOU FIND 'EM!" Abernathy roared as she reached for a tranquilizer gun herself. "They'd better pray I don't find them first…" she added with a low growl. She then raced back to her office whilst the guards scrambled for doors.

Abernathy wasted no time in racing out of the nearest exit, loading the chamber of her gun as she raced past Paige, who yelled out something about Agent Burton… she can worry about her later! All that mattered now was rounding those aliens up!

 

Well, there as one bit of silver lining in all of this… the woods were very large, and they were some twenty odd miles from the nearest town… happy hiking! "Let's get on it, girls! They couldnt've gone far! Take the dogs out as far as you can go!" She barked out. "And try to take out that rainbow haired one first!"

@@Dawn Stripes, Rarity ran with Rainbow. She could hear the sound of the dogs behind them, tho she knew full well that their closeness was only in her imagination. "We ought to do something to stop them tracking us," she gasped. "If there's a stream nearby, that'll kill our scent."

 

"I got an idea!" Pinkie said, brightly as she ran. She pulled a ridiculously large string of sausages from hammerspace along with a bag of aniseed drops and dropped them in a pile. "Dogs love meat and aniseed."

Louise got to her car, a four by four. She figured that the ponies would head for the woods. That, altho seemingly a good idea, was a bad mistake. The nearest town was miles away and with that siren wailing and the dogs on their trail, would make their escape a miracle if it happened. She sighed. She figured she might have to pick them up if she was to stand any chance of ever getting home.

Colette took a moment to react to Catherine's embrace, as she was still quite shell shocked. When she did respond, however, she jumped. She turned to find Catherine was clad in only a towel and massaging her shoulders. Colette reeled back wide eyed, her face going red before turning away. "Uhhh… I ahh-- yeah, sure! You can sleep in here! Just-let me find you something to wear!"

 

Colette shot off the bed, rushing over to her dresser drawers, pulling out a pair of shorts as well as the largest shirt she could find… Catherine was… quite a bit curvier than she was! If she wanted to, she could attract any man she wanted… "Um… try these on to see if they fit!"

 

Colette then raced out of the room, closing the door behind her. Cat still belonged to Jack, and she belonged to Fluttershy! Colette shook her head. Cat's just as lost and confused as she was! She was merely just trying to support her in her moment of despair! The least she could do is return the favor.

 

Colette turned to go back into her room, but her phone vibrated to Gee.

 

 

 

Not even Fluttershy knows this yet! A friend of Colette's has been slowly converting her to Kpop!

 

 

 

It was Dennis. Shit! She almost forgot to call! Colette slowly turned and leaned against the door as she answered her phone. "Dennis? I was just about to call you!"

@,  @@Hypn0ticD, Dennis sensed a hint of guilt from her side on the tone of her voice. They were indeed in this but he was unsure about how Colette felt about it. Now was the time to find out... First of all he should be the one feeling guilty. "It's okay Col..." what the hell was he supposed to say? "So... how are you hanging Col? Are you okay? I just called the twins and the others and... wait... am i interrupting anything? You kinda sounded like you were busy before." He wasn't sure what he was supposed to say with all those stuff going on between them. It wasn't long ago that she and he were kinda in a sour mood over Rainbow Dash...

Catherine was a bit shocked at Colette's reaction. It finally hit her when Collie gave her the shorts and shirt. She facepalmed and thought, Great... Why can't you think, girl? She now probably thinks you were trying to make a move on her. She sighed, then slowly got up, took off the towel, and squeezed into the clothes she was given. They weren't quite her size, but they would do for tonight at least.

Pinkie's tactic only worked partially, as only the younger dogs fell to the rouse, whislt the older, more disciplined canines, along with their handlers, were still hot on their trail. Abernathy was amongst the agents that did not have dogs, trank gun at the ready. She had spotted the distraction that the pink one no doubt left behind, and snarled. Clever, but it won't save you!

 

Abernathy bounded over a fallen trunk and began vaulting up a hill when she heard a shout from one of the younger agents, shining his flood light into a small clearing: "OVER HERE!"

 

Abernathy beamed as he heard this. "Well, what the fuck're you waiting for?? SHOOT THEM!"

 

The young agent wasted no time in doing what he was ordered and fired on the mares, only to miss. "God damned rookie!" Abernathy growled as she came up next to the now fumbling agent. In one fluid movement, Abernathy drew her gun, aimed, and fired on the furthest target. "Nap time, little horsie!"

There was a bright light that was shone on the Ponies, followed by two shouts. A mere second passed before something whizzed past a mare's shoulder*, causing whomever fired to curse loudly. Another shot was fired, hitting home as it embedded itself into the arm of the rainbow headed Pegasus…

A bullet narrowly zinged past Rarity, just clipping her hair. The shock lasted a moment, before anger kicked in. On seeing a bullet hit Rainbow, Rarity turned and snarled.

 

"Those creeps!" she growled. "They shot my friend. They shot my hair. NO-ONE MESSES WITH MY FRIENDS AND MY HAIR!"

 

Concentrating hard, Rarity shot a blast of magic at the agents, changing their clothes into fashionable swimwear and creating blindfolds around their eyes. She pulled the knots tight, hoping for the first time in her life that somepony was getting hurt. As a final gesture, Rarity sent a rain of needles right at them.

 

Pinkie picked Rainbow up and slung her over her shoulder. "Hey, girl, good work," she giggled. "Run!"

 

Rarity grabbed Pinkie's hand and they ran together, reaching the cover of the trees.

Rainbow Dash was in the lead, ready to get her friends to freedom. She could hear the dogs behind them, which she had trusted to Pinkie's weirdness--unreliable, but there were no other options.

 

That was when she felt the sting in her right shoulder. Although surprisingly calm, Rainbow Dash wondered what in the wide world of Equestria had just touched her. Was it a bee sting? That didn't seem right. But it was familiar somehow.

 

She sank to her knees, reaching out to the nearest table leg for balance and found it was a tree. With a chuckle, she lay down, intending to resume flight practice after a brief nap, and remembered what was familiar about the sensation. It was just like the vaccine shots for colic and croup and worm she had to get when she was a foal. Huh....

Fluttershy saw Rainbow Dash fall down. She trundled more than skidded to a stop, and bent over Dash, lifting and trying to get the slightly taller girl to stand back up. "Rainbow!" she shrieked in a whisper. "You can't lie down right now!"

"No, everything's fine, Dennis. I just… I don't know what to do, or even feel right now." She answered, sounding more than a little exhausted. "Too much happened today..." there was a small pause before Colette continued. "Cat says that Jack's gonna be fine, but what about the Ponies? Dash is probably raising all sorts of hell for her captors, if she's even awake, Rarity and Pinkie are probably a mess at this point, and Fluttershy--" there was another pause before Colette spoke again softly, her voice shaking. "Did Stephen say where they were when you spoke with him??"

He sensed hesitation within her speech, it was both sad, and perhaps a bit dissapointing that she didn't want to speak about it. Her question warranteed an answer nonetheless. "They're on the borders of the state... this one or the next i don't know... Colette..." he hesitated before saying it "They can't help us... they can't turn back now. I think i am gonna try to research some law to get them back , see if anyone has seen them, but there's little hope about that. Listen..." there was indeed little hope but he would at least try, none would say he didn't try. "I know we haven't been close as friends... and i know that i can't just ask you to tell me how you feel about this , nor can i just rant to you about it but... If you need to talk about this you have my number. Anyways... think we can visit Jack tomorrow?"

After Rarity had used her magic to change the agents' clothes into designer swimwear complete with blindfolds, and had sent a scattering of needles straight at them, Pinkie hoiked Rainbow's unconscious body on to her shoulders. As an earth pony, Pinkie was stronger than either the pegasus or the unicorn so would be able to carry Rainbow for a while. Rarity snatched at Fluttershy's hand.

 

"Quick, run! While they're distracted!" she gasped.

Cicada felt impatient, altho the rescue team was progressing as quickly as it could. To her mind, it couldn't be fast enough. But perhaps it was time to try and figure out a plan before they got there. They would have to utilise both hers and Diliges' shapeshifting skills and also Twilight's alicorn magic. Whatever happened, they would succeed.

(OOC: Okay, I'll roll for now...actually I was kinda bowling for Rainbow to get nabbed. Playing Pinkie as fourth-wall-break madness means infinite power, which must be used with great discretion...maybe let up winning towards the end)

 

Fluttershy spun back, looking towards the pained humans, and ducked her head as she followed Rarity blindly into the woods. She tried to stay within sight of Rainbow's form, bouncing on Pinkie Pie's shoulders, but she was torn between too many impulses to do more than put one foot in front of the other for now.

Those poor men. Why were they even chasing them, anyway?

"Ha ha! Got the litte bitch!" Abernathy cheered as she watched Rainbow Dash go down.

 

Her celebration was interrupted by the sensation of something tightening around her eyes. "Augh!" She tried to tear off whatever blinded her, she felt the sharp sting of what felt like hundreds of needles embedding themselves into her skin. Abernathy roared in in pain, tearing off the blindfold, only to roar again at the sight of the most unwanted fashion redesign. "YOU LITTLE BITCH! HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME!" Abernathy angrily threw the blindfold down, and set to work removing the needles, wincing as she did so. "THAT PRETTY LITTLE HEAD OF YOURS IS GOING ON A PIKE WHEN I CATCH YOU!"

 

Abernathy and the now furiously blushing agent continued to wince and remove the needles as Paige caught up with the pair, being flanked by several guards. They all gawked at the sight of the middle aged woman and the the young man, dressed in.swimwear and pulling out needles from their skin. Was this some of joke??

 

Abernathy turned her attention to the newly arrived party, glaring daggers at them. "Yuck it up later! Get after them!" She shouted, pointing in the direction of where the aliens fled.

 

Paige wasted no time and set off without saying a word, whilst the men took another second to get a good look at their leader. This prompted her to give them another glare, one which would've killed on the spot if it could… the rest of the group followed the young junior agent, tranq guns at the ready...

Ooc: I'd settle for Rarity and Flutters getting away, but I thought that all of them aimlessly wandering around trying to find the way back would be funny, what with all the sniping between the ponies. XD Maybe just Rainbow being captured, but she'd have to be awake for that; ie, making the others go on without her perhaps? Would suit her element to sacrifice herself so her friends can get away.

 

The delay had given the ponies a useful lead and Rarity made sure that they made the most of it. She winced as her feet hit the hard ground, only slightly softened by a covering of leaves. She just wished she knew where they were heading to; the agents wouldn't give up, she was certain.

 

Pinkie ran, gamely carrying Rainbow. She wished that her friend would wake up.

To say that Angelica Serenity DuFrein was shocked by the news would have been a severe understatement. The normally chipper and talkative woman was shocked speechless. People certainly weren't making it easy on them in the least. She slowly nodded, knocking herself from the silence and reached for Shawn's phone. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, as she had been taught, and dialed the number of her own cell, which she now realized she'd never retrieved from the former Earth mare.

 

She waited for the tone to end before she started speaking, "Hey... Uh, AJ? Got some pretty terrible news. The others... The ones who stayed back at the race. They got nabbed, just like the Queen..." She couldn't think of any other way to put it.

Rainbow Dash managed to open her eyes for several seconds before sleep set in, and her first thought was that she must be playing The Eight Pages. She was moving through a forest in the dead of night, with decreasing speed, and heading for a chain-link with battered holes near every post...

 

Fluttershy knelt and tried to hold up part of the fence so the others could get through, struggling with the wires and grunting in frustration as she tried to pull it higher.

"I figured as much. They've been on the road for most of the day, after all." Colette said with resignation. "The queen's been nabbed first, after all. The last we need is for them to turn back now…"

 

Colette then heard Dennis say that he was going to see if there were some kind of law… "Dennis... If these were government agents then there's nothing we can do legally." Another pause. "I don't want to dash your hopes, Dennis, but on top of that, no one else was around… we don't have much to go on."

 

Colette sighed, paused again, then gasped. "Maybe we can go back and look around after we visit Jack! There has to be some form of physical evidence! At least it'll be something!"

Both twins fell silent as they listened in to Angie speak to AJ. Both of them had bated breath as they awaited the Earth Mare's reaction.

 

Shawn glanced up as something caught his eye. It read, Tennessee Welcomes You. At least they were making good time…

Pinkie's breathing was laboured as she struggled to carry the heavy body of her friend. Gamely, she struggled on but then disaster struck as she caught her foot in a tree root projecting from the ground and stumbled. Pinkie managed to right herself and not drop Rainbow, but she felt a sharp pain in her right ankle as she stood up and began to move again. Pinkie found herself dropping behind Rarity and Fluttershy, and quickly made a decision.

 

"Rarity, Fluttershy, you two go on ahead," she said. Rarity stared at Pinkie with slackjawed horror.

 

"No, Pinkie," she gasped. "We stay together. I won't leave you and Rainbow behind!"

 

"You must," Pinkie replied, firmly. "It wouldn't do for all of us to get caught again, and that is what's gonna happen if you and Fluttershy don't go on without us. Rainbow wouldn't want for us all to get caught again for her, but cuz I've twisted my fetlock, I'm gonna be caught for sure. But that's no reason for you and Fluttershy to stay with us! Go on, and escape. We'll be fine."

 

Rarity stared at her friend, then sadly nodded as the sense of what Pinkie was saying struck her. She gave Pinkie a hug, then stepped back.

 

"We'll come save you," she said. "Whatever it takes, we're going to be together again, and we will make it back home!"

 

Rarity took Fluttershy's arm as Pinkie stopped running. A smile crept across the pink haired earth mare's face as she laid Rainbow down on the ground and rummaged in her hammerspace. Firstly, she pulled out a pair of pliers, which she threw to Fluttershy. Then, she took out a harmonica, sat down on the ground and began to calmly play it.

"Pinkie! Rainbow DASH!" Fluttershy shrieked as she was pulled away by Rarity, but the unicorn was by far the stronger, and didn't let up or turn back once Pinkie urged them on. Fluttershy watched in despair as they shrank into the woods.

 

Rainbow Dash was by this time having a pleasant dream about flying higher than she had ever flown before. She was looking down on North America, kicking around the clouds between Florida and Alaska with her hoof.
