Haha yeah I would LOVE that episode... would be my favorite... im donating 50$ to Hasbro if they make it haha I love Luna and Celestia that much :3

 

 

I forgot to say... I like Twilight (now... after realizing how she's been doing the "Hero's Journey" throughout the three seasons and that DHX pulled it off brilliantly) and Cadance too... But they only get to be "best princess" after they rule Equestria on their own while suffering the Canterlot nobles. 

 

I just like the "Princess" theme in MLP:FIM. It was done the right way.

No seriously though, Luna is my favorite princess and pony in the whole show. I think the lessons she teaches are invaluable when it comes to forgiveness and becoming a better person  I won't go into all of that here, because I could literally write an article on what I think Luna's presence in the show teaches us. One of the reasons I like her so much is I think her back story is really something most people can relate to. The problem of feeling like a social pariah is one I've dealt with my entire life. I barely cry over anything, but Luna Eclipsed can get me choked up.

 

She is also the most aesthetically appealing pony to me. I love the night time and the stars, her mane is lovely to me and her dark colors are some of my personal favorite. She also looks very royal to me, as to where Cadence and Twilight don't look as regal as they do. Luna (and Celestia for that matter) just carry themselves differently, probably because they're so old and experienced as princesses. I think this is beautiful because it's hard to make a princess seem regal and relatable at the same time.

 

 

Luna strikes me as very powerful. I hate the fact that we don't see the other princesses (aside from Twilight) do magic! I'm very curious about alicorn power and Luna is the only one to demonstrate it over and over again. First with Nightmare Moon doing all of the things she did in the premiere, then in Luna Eclipsed it's shown she can make lightening bolts/ storm clouds, she can apparently still shape shift into NMM, and she can freaking make toy spiders come to life! Or... at least animate them for a time. 

 

Let's seeeee I love the gamer persona that the fans have given her and I love that she is a little socially awkward when it comes to getting on a personal level with ponies.

 

Things I don't like: I have no idea why her mane was light blue in the second episode, it isn't exactly something I dislike but it really confuses me. Apparently when they fought Sombra and Discord her mane was the way it is now, even in the stain glass ( I can only assume that is what the color change means), so what the hell happened in the first episode? I think I heard something about Hasbro thinking she was too scary or something so they had to remake her... so it'll probably never make sense in the context of the story.

 

This isn't really Luna's fault, but I strongly dislike any thought she may be evil. Her turning good teaches so many good lessons and cements the premise of the entire show, if that is ever destroyed I'll have a hard time liking this show.

 

Again, not Luna's fault but I hate that she isn't used very often. There is a ton of potential for her character to develop and there are still a lot of answers I'd like to have about her (and Celestia too for that matter!). 

 

In conclusion, Luna is best everything. The end.

Although she's my third favorite character (behind Fluttershy and Chrysalis) I still treasure her deep in my heart and want to hug her so badly.
