writing Character Developments

Hey guys, me again!

I came up with an idea for my fic a while back but have only just started to think of select things that need to be addressed pretty soon in it.
7 ancient warriors were around back in the times before Celestia, back when Equestria was building. These 7 warriors were the original holders of the elements. They weren't ponies but were either mythological/real creatures. I have already got some down

Leader - Dragon - OC
Element of Magic - Sphinx - Twilight Sparkle
Element of Laughter - Hyena (or some other creature which would better represent said element and holder) - Pinkie Pie
Element of Loyalty - Insert Animal - Rainbow Dash
Element of Honesty - Insert Animal - Applejack
Element of Generosity - Insert Animal - Rarity
Element of Kindness - Insert Animal - Fluttershy

I am looking for fairly, shall I say powerful? Not so menacing but more aggressive in nature than cute etc. I can't really give more without giving away most of the story. However if people wish to know more to help with decisions PM me and I can inform you about it.
