Benjamin smiled as he observed the ponies conversing.

"Sorry to interrupt,but i was just wondering if i could get you guys anything?" Benjamin asked with a smile.

He has some food and drink stocked up, though the drink was room temperature and the food was a little old.

"Oh, um...sure. By any chance could you make me a cup of tea? That would be wonderful right now. We should go sit and talk anyway." Mel gave Sweet Chirp a pat on the back and sat down, smiling at the others. Everything seemed to be going smoothly and he was glad to be on good terms with his new neighbors.

 

(I think Flame might not be posting for awhile, unfortunately :/)

Stratos finished unpacking his room and arranging what little he had brought. It was a simple place, but it would do. He was hoping that as he built up a life in Mustangia he would soon be able to afford lots of amenities to fill the unit. But for now, he had enough to start up.

 

"I should go see what everypony is up to" he thought, as he trotted out of his room, to see what he could see.

"Sunny. What a cute name! She certainly seems like a smart little bird too. So do you raise your birds from infancy, or do you simply take care of them as adults?" he asked inquisitively, hoping that Chirp could open up more when speaking about something he loved.

Chirp was about to attempt to reply but luckily for him Benjamin asked if they wanted something to eat. He let out a sigh of relief and just shyly shook his head before shuffling his hooves awkwardly. He felt like maybe he should sit down...but he didn't really want too...what if he had to run? That would make things so much more difficult.

Chirp was about to attempt to reply but luckily for him Benjamin asked if they wanted something to eat. He let out a sigh of relief and just shyly shook his head before shuffling his hooves awkwardly. He felt like maybe he should sit down...but he didn't really want too...what if he had to run? Mel looked at Chirp, patting the seat next to him with his hoof. "Why don't you take a seat, Sweet Chirp? I'm sure moving in has got you mighty tired." Mel was taking a liking to Sweet Chirp (in a non-romantic way). He was shy, but he was super cute. Ben was an interesting fellow too.

Mel looked at Chirp, patting the seat next to him with his hoof. "Why don't you take a seat, Sweet Chirp? I'm sure moving in has got you mighty tired."  Mel was taking a liking to Sweet Chirp (in a non-romantic way). He was shy, but he was super cute. Ben was an interesting fellow too.

 

Chirp stared nervously at the spot Mel had gestured too before slowly making his way over and sitting down, shaking slightly. He rubbed his hooves together and kept his eyes staring down at the ground.

He would occasionally look up at Ben and Mel but would quickly look back down at his hooves every time.

Benjamin smiled and nodded at Mel. He trotted into a small corner and found tea bags and more incense sticks. He then trotted to the other side of his apartment and found a tea pot. Benjamin put water in the post and put it on the burner.

"Shouldn't take too long." He called out.

Chirp kept looking down at the ground as Sunny looked up at Mel. She eyed him for a moment before giving him a nod and a small hum.

Chirp smiled slightly and looked away from the ground to look at Mel. He hesitated slightly before speaking. "S-So...you're an artist?"

Mel smiled at Sunny's approval and gave Sweet Chirp a little nod. "Yes, well, at least I try to be," he said with a laugh. "I do all right."

Then Ben called over and Mel responded. "Okay, thanks, Benjamin, you've been an awfully good host to both of us! I have to make sure to invite you over sometime and return the favor!" he said, laughing a little more.

((OOC: You remember when I said I was leaving for a short while? Me neither, but i'm back.))

 

Dusk paced up and down the side of the building, occasionally hitting himself in the head in an attempt to help him think what to do.

"Where is the site managers office anyway? I need to back inside...maybe I should just go and talk to the others some more? That Benjamin seems nice enough, what's there to lose? But I actually need to go and get some things from the shop too...who are you talking to?!"

 

A few more lengths of the wall and he eventually turned the corner at the end and stood back at the main door to the building. Quickly jumping inside he walked back to his door and gave it another push, to no avail. "I don't even know why I thought that would work" Looking back up the stairs, he sighed and took a deep breath before quickly bouncing up and approaching the door he remembered was Benjamins. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" *knock knock knock*

Mel took his cup carefully and took a sip. It was perfect, just how he liked it. "Delicious! You make it just how I like it, Benny!" He took another sip. It was hot, but if he took it slow, it was fantastic, and it would cool down fast probably. He watched as Benjamin answered the door.

He sipped a little less this time and smiled as he tapped his hoof against the mug. Sunny was busy messing around with Chirp's mane, trying to make it more comfortable.

He sipped a little less this time and smiled as he tapped his hoof against the mug. Sunny was busy messing around with Chirp's mane, trying to make it more comfortable.

Mel saw the bid trying to get comfortable in Sweet Chirp's mane, so he reached up a hoof and brushed his mane down with a hoof, helping the bird. Mel normally wouldn't have done this, but...something compelled him to that he couldn't describe. His mane was very soft, perfect for the little bird, and it felt great to the touch. I wonder what shampoo he uses...

Mel set his empty cup on a nearby table and reached his other hoof up to pet Sunny as she nibbled his hoof. This bird was adorable just like her owner, and Chirp didn't seem upset about this minor invasion of privacy. He couldn't tell why he was so intrigued with the shy little stallion.

Mel went to the freezer. He grabbed some ice but sprinkled some garlic on it. It was a family remedy that had worked on him as a colt. He returned to the shy pony. "Here, lay this on your tongue. It'll numb the pain, and reduce the swelling. Even Sunny knows you're not okay, Sweetie."
