Not being able to help grinning, he looked back at the stallion and chuckled "Gotcha" he sat down on the couch, figuring he's been invited in, so Ben wouldn't mind if he took a seat at least. Taking a sip of his tea, he looked over at Ben and nodded approvingly a few times, "This is nice, thank you" taking another sip, he turned his attention back to Mel "It's...something, I don't know what, but I was born with it, I know that much. Whenever i'm in contact with direct moonlight, my coat seems to change colours. I don't know why, but it always happens to match my surroundings and it makes me difficult to see, apparently. So...yeah, i'm good at hiding..." realising just how open he had just been with this stallion, he immediately looked back at the tea mug and down at the table with a concerned look on his face.  

"Oh, I see. That's pretty interesting. You're like a lunar-powered chameleon or something!" he said with a laugh. "But seriously, that's cool. I wonder why exactly your coat changes to match the things around you when you're under the moon. I can't think of anything that would cause that."

Benjamin smiled as he watched the ponies converse. He went back into his kitchen and started making apple turnovers from soon to be expired apples. Several minuted later he emerged from the kitchen with hot apple turnovers. He set the treats next to the tea tray and smiled.

"I made some fresh...well sorta fresh, apple turnovers if you stallions want some. Don't be shy either, they won't bite." He announced to the group, looking at Chirp and Dusk when he came on the shy part.

He smiled as he thought about what the ponies were talking about.

Benjamin smiled as he watched the ponies converse. He went back into his kitchen and started making apple turnovers from soon to be expired apples. Several minuted later he emerged from the kitchen with hot apple turnovers. He set the treats next to the tea tray and smiled.

He smiled as he thought about what the ponies were talking about.

Chirp eyed the treats before slowly extending a hoof.

He picked one up and, blowing on it to make sure it was cold, he took a small bite. He smiled and took another before speaking...in his usual quiet voice. `These are really g-good B-Benjamin.`He said, reaching over to take another turnover. His hoof brushed past Mel's making him blush as he quickly drew his hoof away from the plate.

He picked one up and, blowing on it to make sure it was cold, he took a small bite. Mel felt his hoof brush against Chirp's, and he looked over at him, blushing, trying not to react. He saw Chirp pull his hoof away quickly. Oh no! I...I mean good! I shouldn't be feeling like this anyway! Arrg! I shouldn't be feeling like this towards a stallion! he thought, restraining his feelings, and trying to hide his blush poorly.

Mel felt his hoof brush against Chirp's, and he looked over at him, blushing, trying not to react. He saw Chirp pull his hoof away quickly. Oh no! I...I mean good! Chirp looked up and noticed Mel's blush...making his own blush worse.

He quickly looked back down and mumbled something that sounded like "Sorry" But it was barely audible.

He took another sip of his tea as Sunny started noticing these two stallions blushing...she did something...that she never does.

She flew over to Mel and pushed against his shoulder, trying to get him closer to Chirp. Usually Sunny was very protective of Chirp...and she got jealous easily, but Chirp and Mel seemed like the perfect couple...they were just so cute together.

"Whoa...Sunny...what are you doing?" Sunny managed to push him a little towards Chirp, and Mel scooted over just to escape the bird, but she wouldn't let up. "What are you doing, Sunny? Sweetie, what is she doing?" he asked, much closer to Sweet Chirp now. "T-tell her to stop!"

((Remember Sunny is a humming bird...so she isn't that strong...at all))

(but it would make Mel move automatically in panic if a bird was flying at him XD)

 

"I-it's okay, S-sweet Chirp...It's okay..." he said, nervously, inches from Sweet Chirp. His blush got more intense. He could smell Sweet Chirp. He smelled like nature; like freshly cut grass. He liked that...

Benjamin saw the excitement in front of him. He closed his eyes and drank the tea.

"Shall I light one of my Incense candles? It could calm you two...or three." He said as he looked at the bird.

Benjamin could sense what could be going on and wanted to push things along.

Chirp was really beginning to feel nervous...he glanced up at the door...then down the hall where he thought he saw a bathroom. He didn't want to leave Mel...but things were getting awkward...really awkward.

He gulped and got to his hooves. "I...I should go home..." He said, hesitating before moving towards the door.

He pulled it open and quickly walked out. Sunny spread her wings and flew down to his chest where she pushed against him, trying to get him to go back as he walked towards his room.

Mel grabbed his hoof without thinking at all. "No! I mean...P-please stay...Why do you have to go home so soon?" he asked awkwardly.  "I-if you're nervous....I-I'll go hang with you for awhile if you want..." he suggested despite himself. Mel you are an absolute moron! Why did you do that!?

(Well, it's 1:30 am in our timezone, so I can't blame people for not being here. Plus, we got off to a slow start. Dusk is still kinda sorta here.)

Auburn looked proudly at his work. Every grocery he bought was neatly arranged into the drawers and cabinets of his new home. His ears perked up as he heard several voices outside of his room."Looks like everybody is getting to know one another. I should get out there and socialize." Auburn thought half halfheartedly. He knew going out. there met he had to see Stratos and he didn't want to make a fool out of himself again. He pushed the door open. He saw Mel talking to somepony he didn't recognize. He also saw Stratos over to the side.

Swallowing the lump in his throat he called out to him."Hey Strato's I didn't know you were moving into this apartment as well what are the odds."

Stratos' ears perked up at the sound of the stallion calling his name. It was Auburn again, he was hoping we wouldn't run off this time.

 

"Hey again, Auburn," Stratos said giving a friendly smile. "Hope I didn't scare ya off last time, did I?" He said jokingly.

 

"So, want to hang out a bit? What's everypony up to? I've just been a bit busy settling in."
