This was...very surprising to Chirp...he had never done anything like this before...ever. His eyes widened and he...just kinda stood there. As awkward as it was, he had to admit...it was quite nice.

Sunny...got even more angry and poked Mel as hard as she could with her beak

Mel recoiled a bit. "Ow! Sunny? What are you doing?" he said, rubbing his chest in pain. That really hurt. Those little birds are tougher than they look. "Chirp, what's wrong with Sunny? Is something wrong with her? Is she okay?" he asked. There wasn't a bad wound or anything, but Mel stared at the little bird with a face that said Why?

Sunny just hummed angrily and flew up to Chirp, staring right at him. "I know you don't want anypony hurting me. But Sunny, you need to stop being so protective...Mel is wonderful and he likes you." He said, still just as quiet as before.

Sunny huffed and landed on the coffee table. "Say you're sorry to Mel." Said Chirp, a little louder now. Sunny turned her back to the two colts. "Sunny..." He said, in a surprisingly serious tone. Sunny let out a tiny sigh before flying up to Mel she looked him in the eye, let out a small tweet and flew back to Chirp's head. "Sorry Mel..."

Chirp blushed and gave Mel a shy smile...but Sunny glared at him and turned around so her back was facing him. Chirp felt this and his shy smile faded slightly. "I think she just needs to get to know you some more...you should stay the night tonight." He said, smiling.

He didn't realize this...but that was the first time in his life her had invited somepony over.

Sunny ignored the two of them and stared at the nearby window.

Chirp blushed and gave Mel a shy smile...but Sunny glared at him and turned around so her back was facing him. Chirp felt this and his shy smile faded slightly. "I think she just needs to get to know you some more...you should stay the night tonight." He said, smiling.

He didn't realize this...but that was the first time in his life her had invited somepony over.

Sunny ignored the two of them and stared at the nearby window.

"I'd love too. I could help you set up anything you haven't unpacked yet while I'm there. I just love being with you..." He was glad these feelings were out in the open. I guess...I'm a bisexual stallion now? he thought, no longer caring. He just adored this shy little stallion.

Chirp smiled and hugged Mel again. "It'll give you a chance to get to know Sunny too." He said, letting go and nuzzling Mel's cheek. Sunny looked...very disapproving, but she kept it to herself. "Not just Sunny. I think you and Cloud Hopper will get along well...and Sir Lemmons...he can be a little sour at times, hence the name...but he's a good bird to chat with...when feeling down. This is going to be so much fun." His smile widened and he hugged Mel yet again.

Chirp smiled and let go of Mel to look at Ben...going back to his shy state. "Thanks for the stuff and stuff Ben...but I am going to go get Mel's bed ready...and stuff..." He blushed and inched towards the door. "I'll catch you guys later...I mean...Mel...if you wanna come...with me...to my apartment...to see it...and stuff...you can." He blushed and put his hoof on the door handle.

He chuckled and gestured for Mel to enter as a large Tukan hopped from down the hall. "Good afternoon Sir Lemons...this is Mel. I am going to put on some tea. Make yourself at home, Mel." He said, walking towards the kitchen as the six pigeons landed on his back. The chickadee's flew over and began jumping around on Mel's back and shoulders. Sir Lemons flew up to the kitchen counter and eyed Mel suspiciously.

Chirp filled up a kettle and put it on the stove.

Auburn rubbed the back of his head with his hoof he hoped Stratos didn't notice the light blush plastered on his face.

In truth Stratos was just as nervous around Auburn as he was around him, he was just admittedly better at hiding it. "Sure, wanna go grab a bite to eat? Lets go find a decent restaurant in the area, I'm sure there's a lot of places to eat around here. C'mon, my treat."

Chirp smiled. "This is so much nicer than your average story book." He said, sipping his tea and glancing around the room. Most of the birds were just...chirping, and flying around, but a few watched Mel and Chirp closely...very closely. A hawk flew over and landed on Mel's head. Chirp couldn't help but chuckle as the hawk hopped off Mel's head onto the counter, it walked across the counter to a bowl of nuts and seeds. Moments later it flew back to its perch with several different kinds of nuts.

Sunny was starting to feel a little lonely. She spread her wings and (still feeling annoyed) flew back into the kitchen where Chirp and Mel sat. She landed in front of the two ponies and turned around so her back was facing them...obviously trying to get attention. 

"Oh, I'm okay. No need to worry. Oh, look, Sunny's back. Glad to see you come out again," said Mel with a smile. Mel tried to be friendly, but unfortunately, Sunny still seemed to be mad at him."Sunny? Are you okay? I'm sorry if you're upset." Mel leaned his head into Chirp's shoulder lovingly, looking at the little bird.

Auburn concealed his excitement at the prospect of spending some time with Stratos."Sure getting a bite to eat sounds like a good idea. "I like the sound of your second idea, it'll be a good way to get to know Mustangia more, and get to know each other!" Stratos said with a friendly smile. "We will be neighbors after all, we should get to know each other." Stratos said as he began to trot. "So tell me, what brings you to Mustangia?"

"I...I need to go..." Dusk said quietly before he stood up and took a step towards the door. "I'll...have to catch up with you all later, i'm really sorry" he called as he ran out the door, down the stairs and straight into the door of his own apartment. "Ouch...right...locked." He mumbled as he looked around for any way inside, before giving up and running out of the building again, around to where his windows would be.
