Got a couple more questions for yah. Let's just jump right into it. No time to waste!

1. What game do you think has the best back-story?

2. What feature do you think is important in a game? (Customization, Choosing your own paths, open world, open ended, ect.)

(Sorry if it seems like I throw a lot of random questions into one topic post, these don't really relate.)

I always wondered about these questions, so I thought I should just ask you guys. Leave the posts below and I will get back to em'. Ermahgerd, You guys are so awesome! Can't wait to read! >;)

Portal and Portal 2 I think have the best backstory.  Really, any Valve game has an extremely well-developed story-line, and you always have to work to figure it out.  I probably would have said Half-life when I came in, but I haven't played that, so... Yeah.  In second-place for backstory would come Amnesia: the Dark Descent.  That is one messed up game.

As for features... I don't really have anything on that.  I'd say that I like first-person, as long as the character doesn't speak (at least not often), because it makes it easier to put yourself in their shoes.  If they wear shoes.

Valve games like TF2 and L4D both have hazy backgrounds, but you start to learn about the characters and what happened through lines and how they act. That's how I like it, too! They are geniuses! You are also one my friend! /) Thanks for bringing back some memories, bro. I owe yah one.

You sure like gaming, don't you? wink.png Me too, btw.

Okay, best back-story. Phew. I like complexity. And Fantasy. And Science Fiction. I'd say, either The Elder Scrolls, or Fallout. I mean, the amount of little stories all over every game of the two series is just...immense. Nearly everything has a story. And the whole background itself... I just like it, nuff said.

Most important feature? Story. All about the damn story itself. I don't "need" open world (I know, I picked TES and Fallout for the previous), customization and stuff.

Good characters, plausile plot and setting can mostly overcome not too bad mistakes in gameplay and even linear level/world design.

That's why I like many totally different games and genres.

So I'm a huge freaking fallout nut, so I'm gonna have to say that Fallout has the best backstory. A lot of people say that TES has a bigger backstory, but I say screw you The Fallout Wiki has more pages dedicated to the huge backstory and just random crap in it's history than the TES wiki. The Kingdom Hearts wiki also has an extreme number of pages due to how insanely large that storyline is but once again doesn't compare to the Fallout wiki at all.

Now, personally I don't really care much about features as long as the game is fun. If you really wanna argue about features I'd say that Minecraft probably has the most features out of any game out there at the moment as it's open ended, non linear, you technically are choosing your own path and story, yadda yadda yadda but it isn't my favorite game. One of my favorite games is freaking Mario which really doesn't have a good storyline, doesn't have open ended areas, is very linear, extremely simple blah blah blah yet I have more fun running around collecting Mushrooms in there than I do in Minecraft.

I do like gaming, but I throw up topics while I think, think, think! I want the brony society to think as well. I'll be putting up a topic in sugarcube corner in a bit.

Fallout has been one of the greatest experiences ever! I remember the eeriness of Fallout and Fallout 2, but then bethesda comes flying through making it fun, fun, FUN! Not so eerie anymore, but I prefer laughing over the guy I just hit with a double-barrel shotty, blowing up into a pile a giblets instead of preparing my flank for upcoming rad-roaches anyday!

Story is a very important factor! If there is no story, then there is no reason for you in the game (Unless it The sims or simcity or something)! You need reasons for what you do, right? You can't just go around talking to people until one of them says: Go kill this guy or steal this. You need R-E-A-S-O-N! Stuff like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls (both have bethesda games) have excellent gameplay with some actual purpose, even if it isn't part of the main story. When you get a side quest, they tell you the background and reason the person wants you to pull off this objective. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and then I said: Oat meal!? Are you Crazy!? ehem...

You got some valid points, my friend. /)

And I owe you one for having that avatar.  Really, that's awesome.  And I also forgot about another game: Call of Duty Zombies.  It has such a figure-it-out storyline that NOBODY has figured it out yet.  Id say though that the strangest and most undefinable storyline there is, of all time, is Pac-Man.  Seriously, WHAT IS GOING ON IN THAT GAME?  WHAT IS HE EVEN DOING?  WHAT IS HE HOPING TO ACCOMPLISH?  WHY DOESN'T HE HAVE DIABETES YET?
