Aurora flew in as fast as he could,he stopped as soon as he saw the kingdom,he slowed to be at mach 5,he growled and headed strait for the door of the kingdom,he would make those vile things SUFFER...he truly hated griffons now,he didnt like them before...but now he hates them...

"I've always hated Griffons. Ever since I crossed paths with one, they've been just complete plotholes." Thunder Dash said to Aurora. They neared the Griffon Kingdom. Rainbow Dash was right beside Thunder Dash. 

 

Down on the Kingdom, the griffons were mourning the death of the generals who were lost in the small attack. In the interagation room, Sparkleshower was tied down tightly. She was about to be swiped by one of the griffons. It wasn't until the door burst open and Thunder Dash and Rainbow Dash came in. "You leave that pony alone right now!" Thunder Dash said standing on his hind legs and current charged. @,

Aurora slowly and eerily walked in behind his friend,he did NOT look happy,an evil frown on his face,his eyes glowing red,and a knife in his hoof,he stared down the one about to hit Sparkshower with such an evil stare it was almost unnerving,he could be a really scary pony sometimes.

Sparkshower gasped "Aurora fight it! remember what happened last time.. fight the hatred." She was scared but that wasn't going to stop her from putting other ponies first. "I know it's hard but you HAVE to fight it, please. This isn't you." she tried to struggle in the ropes but it cut her arm. She flinched.

"But maybe if we can do like the changelings. Maybe they just need to be taught that having a kingdom of their own isn't as great as it sounds." Thunder Dash said out loud. "Wait Aurora. Sparkle's right. This isn't the Aurora that I know. The Aurora I know controls himself. He's not a merciless killer wanting vengance every time. Sure we may have stirred up something, but now that I realize it, griffons just think they're all that when they're just like us." Thunder Dash said.

 

He then walked up to the lead griffon who was still angry. "I'm not gonna hurt you." Thunder Dash said putting down his weapons. "It's just like changelings. They want to be loved and treated fairly, but they do it the wrong way. If only you would understand what you're doing is wrong...you think that having a kingdom of your own will make us love you more. But no, it'll stir up the hate that has already almost resided in us. Hate affects each and everyone of us. It prevents us from creating new relationships. Hate causes us to judge others unfairly, just by looks and certain motives. As I said before, if you want to be loved...just ask for friends. It's as simple as that. Oh sure, some may deny, but everyone isn't perfect, but still, we can strive to be the best we could be." Thunder Dash declared. What he said was from his heart. A tear fell from his eye. The lead griffon looked at Thunder Dash. Suddenly, it came to him. "I...I......I...I'm sorry." He said with tears in his. Thunder Dash drew in closer. "I've already forgiven you...friend." Thunder Dash said embracing the crying griffons. The other griffons just looked in shock.

Aurora glanced at Spark and glared at the leader,he cracked an evil smile and ran,pushing away Thunder before he cut the griffon's throat open,he stood there,watching the griffon grab its neck,trying to stop the bleeding,it was choking on its own blood...Aurora looked at his now crimson knife that was dripping the dark red liquid,he slowly licked the blade and spit out the blood that rubbed off in his mouth,he growled,taking a stance at the other griffons. He lost himself,this isnt Aurora...its...something darker...

Thunder Dash was so shocked, that he was paralyzed. After all of that talking he did...it felt like it was in vain. He could feel something boiling in him. This wasn't the Aurora he knew. The Aurora he knew knew how to control himself. He gathered a large ammount of electricity. "HOW DARE YOU!!!" He shouted at Aurora and let it all out. It was a purifying shot, one that rendered one from dark energy. He then pulled a quick revival spell on the Griffon leader while holding Aurora in a strong magic bind until he controlled himself. Rainbow Dash was shocked, for she had never seen Thunder Dash this angry. Thunder hoped that the shock rendered Aurora from the dark hold, for he did not want to harm his friend no further, nor vice versa. "Aurora listen to me. This isn't you. You're letting the dark energy control you. Don't do this Aurora. Life is more than just becoming the most powerful being in all of Equestria. You were made for so much more than this, each and every one of us. So please, if you still have light in you, let it regain the position it had in your life." Thunder Dash said still holding Aurora in his magical bind.

Aurora simply narrowed his eyes,not speaking,he blinked and his eyes darted from Thunder to Rainbow,he then slowly looked back to Thunder,he then closed his eyes and walked forward,his magical bind seeming to crushed,or slipped past him,he sat face to face with Thunder and gave Thunder his knife,the handle,he then made the tip of it softly press into his chest,his eyes slowly opening to reveal that same red,but it was almost in a pleading look in his eyes.

Thunder Dash looked into Aurora's eyes. He did not want to kill his special friend. Instead he dropped the knife and put his hoof around Aurora and said a rhyme.

 

"Darkness and shadows shall never prevail

Light and love shall prosper without fail."

 

There was a blinding light. When all was said and done...

Aurora was standing with his head down and his eyes closed,he sighed and opened them to see a knife in his chest lightly,only the tip cut him,but it was bleeding slightly,Aurora gasped and watched as a droplet of his blood hit the floor "...Thunder?"he asked in a quiet,soft voice,he sounded confused,hurt too.

"Yes? It's me." Thunder Dash said.

 

Meanwhile the lead griffon was recovering from the spell. It seemed very confused.

 

Rainbow Dash was just looking around at all the stuff happening at once. She was also a bit confused at the situation, but all she hoped was that Aurora was okay.

Aurora slowly made the knife slide out of his chest,he blinked and had tears in his eyes "...that...wasent me..."he murmurs,slowly falling to lay on his belly,his tears now streaming down his face "I...I wanted to self terminate...I...I couldnt live with so much anger...I wanted you to kill me..."he murmurs as he crys.

"I didn't want to kill you. That would mean losing a very special friend. Rainbow Dash had tears in her eyes once she realized what Aurora wanted to do. "Well, that's the problem, if you keep thinking about anger, it will stay with you. But if you move on from the past and look in the present, that anger will just disappear. Trust me Aurora, we've all gone through hard times. Stuffing your anger won't work, escalating definitely won't work. You've got to manage it. When you feel angry, think about your friends. You have friends all around here. Just because you can't control your anger doesn't mean you end it all." Thunder Dash explained.

Aurora closed his eyes and shook his head "no...its...its...Anger...The Darkness...whatever you want to call it...he-he told me...that...I should kill you...you and Dashie...he hates everypony...I didnt want to hurt you...so...I...I was going to let you kill me..."he says,his voice cracking in despair.

"Don't listen to the darkness. The darkness is deceptive and always wants to get it's way. You can overcome the darkness with a magic that's even greater than it: The Magic of Friendship. If you're struggling with this darkness, you can ask your friends to help you. But we can't get rid of the darkness for you, only you can. This may be a big mountain in your life but soon or later, you'll conquer it." Thunder Dash said.

Sparkshower looked up. "oh, Aurora, " she tried to break through the ropes but they cut her other arm and cut deeper into the arm that was already cut "It's not your fault, we all have a darkness in our heads, for some it's harder to fight than others, and you shouldn't beat yourself up over it but if I may interrupt. You probably have about three seconds before the griffons go into full battle mode."

Aurora sighed and wipped his face and picked his knife up,glaring at the griffon's his eyes flashing a deep red before he walked over and cut Spark loose,he looked down and sighed "...I wish I could over come myself...but...darkess has been in my heritage for decades...my mother has shown me that..."he sighs,remembering his horrid past.

"There's always hope around the bend Aurora. Everypony can overcome their darkness. It's tough, but it can be done." Thunder Dash said going over to a griffon and gently picking it up. It was about to swipe, but realized that Thunder wasn't going to hurt him and relaxed. It then put its head down on Thunder's lap. "See, even in our worst enemies there's a ray of light." Thunder Dash said as he stroked the griffon's fur. It purred softly.

Aurora blinked,his eyes started to darken to a blood red,but he growled,closing his eyes and dropping the knife,he fought an internal battle...before he knew it,he was on the ground,curled up with his face in a cringe,but it looked like he was winning his battle.

Thunder Dash looked as Aurora was cringing on the ground. "Come on Aurora! Fight it! Don't let it take over. Light always triumphs over darkness, unless one chooses to live in the darkness." Thunder Dash said hugging the griffon in his arms. The lead griffon came and sat next to Thunder Dash watching the struggle.

Aurora growled,curling into a tighter ball,he grit his teeth hard as he fought as hard as he could,he would NOT let this thing win. 'LET ME KILL THE THUNDER,LET ME OUT SO I CAN DESTROY RAINBOW DASH,LET ME SLAUGHTER THAT PRECIOUS MARE OF YOURS,YOU WILL NEVER BEAT ME!!" It yelled in his mind,he wouldnt let it do any of that,not on his life.

"I think it's working. Aurora's gonna win!" He said to the griffon that was on his lap. Soon another griffon came by his side. "Wow, to come to think of how savage I thought you guys were, but with a little bit of time and that speech...I guess you guys aren't...as bad as Celestia said." Thunder Dash said.

Aurora finally stopped,uncurling,his iris' were blue now,solid blue,he slowly sat up and blinked,he smiled slightly "I think I beat him...for now."he says and smiles,cocking his head to the side slightly,he closed his eyes as he smiled,his ear twitching slightly.

Thunder Dash had a smile on his face and so did the griffon on his lap. Suddenly, the griffon turned belly-up. "Oh you!" Thunder Dash said scratching it's belly. The lead griffon walked over to Aurora and sat by him. Meanwhile two other griffons went over to Sparkleshower. They weren't going to harm her.

Sparkshower rubbed her arms. "That's great, umm Aurora do you think you could heal my arms? my magic's still a little weak."
