MLP Wouldn't Work With Humans

If the mane six and other ponies were humans, and the show became My Little Human, opposed to My Little Pony, than what would the cutie mark issue be about? There's a lot of important plot devices in this show that are very specific to equines. I mean, the whole thing with Lyra. That wouldn't really work if it were humans, now would it? And the hair colors... No. There would just be this one clique with all weird hair, except, for, like, one. (AJ, of course) And the coat. What? Would they, like, wear the same color of cloths everyday? The names aren't really humanworld-worthy either. I mean, "Rarity" doesn't sound too bad. But "Pinkie Pie"? "Rainbow Dash"? "Fluttershy"? "Applejack"? "TWILIGHT SPARKLE"?! That sounds like her mom was on Team Edward, if you know what I'm sayin'.   But anyway, that's why this is my version of humanized mane cast (Hair color, "Human name"):

 

Rarity: Blond, "Tiffany"

Pinkie Pie: Brown, "Chelsea"

Twilight Sparkle: Black, "Adrianna"

Rainbow Dash: Blond, "Chloe"

Applejack: Blond, "Jamie"

Fluttershy: Brown, "Collette"

Derpy: Blond, "Lulu"

Spike: Black, "Dylan"

Luna: Brown, "Willow"

Celstia: Blond, "Eva"

Scootaloo: Black, "Roxanne"

Apple Bloom: Brown, "Abigail"

Sweetie Belle: Blond, "Bailey"

Babs Seed: Brown, "Kacey"

 

TL;DR: My Little Human wouldn't work...

Well seeing as they are human, the cutie mark thing would not work for them and would probably would just not use that. It would be more what they thought they were good at. It be more like taking a leap of faith. So more what real life is like.

 

As for Lyra, her obsession with humans is more of the fans idea. We don't really know what she is like in the show because she has not had an episode or screen time to look at her character. Still her human version would most likely be obsessed with ponies.

 

Still I agree with you. MLP does not work well with humans.

The whole Lyra thing isn't canon at all, and I would appreciate that little fanon getting smashed.

 

I agree with all those names except Scoots. Maybe "Emma" or "Erin".

My take on the names:

 

Rarity: Beryl(after her gemstones) or a similar name.

 

Pinkie Pie: Heather(After the pink flowers)

 

Twilight Sparkle: Sandhya(Indian name, means twilight)

 

Rainbow Dash: Either go with the existant name Rainbow(yes, that is actually used as a name), or you can go with Iris- the greek goddess of the rainbow. Considering the very greek take on the pegasi in the show, Iris is PERFECT for Dash as a human name.

 

Applejack: Brandy. No argument.

 

Applejack is an American apple brandy made from the distillation of hard cider.

 

Fluttershy: Şermin. Turkish name meaning shy.

 

Spike: Sigurd

 

Luna: Luna.

 

Celstia: Umm....

 

Scootaloo: Errrr....

 

Apple Bloom: Sharon. Works in two ways, as it describes 1. A field. 2. A flowering bush- a bush that is blooming.

 

Sweetie Belle: Belle or Bella. Pretty obvious. Could upgrade to Isabelle, but really?

 

Babs Seed: Obviously still Babs.

I agree, I don't see why many people are obsessed with making ponies into humans 

 (anthropomorphism)

 I mean the main characters being ponies is what makes the show so epic
