So apparently I drew this when I was drunk

Came back home from a great party yesterday and apparently I decided to draw something. I don't even remember drawing it but I did I guess. I tend to get in odd moods when I'm under influence and alone.

 

Was kinda hesitant to post this at first but whatever, to hell with that xD! So yea, this happened for some reason, not my worst but ehh...?

 

 

 

 

 

 

My scanner is still feeling blue for some reason, so sorry for the quality.

 

Still a lot of things to improve on. I'm not happy with how the left (our left) part of the mane swirls. It's a little bit too small and doesn't have the sharpness in it that I want. Shading is atrocious but meh, I usually do a better job on shading when it comes down to traditional art. The drop on her left eye doesn't follow her face, making it seem rather flat, that's something I should work on too. Anyone have any tips for making a face have more depth instead of feeling flat?

 

Also, now that I have a lot of free time due to vacation I've decided to draw a little bit more than usual. It's hard for me to be diligent about these kind of things but I'll try my best ^^

Dude. That looks SICK. While you were drunk? o_o

 

Adding depth to a face isn't hard, I'd suggest adding a bit more shading and/or facial lines to help with it, at least that's what I've always done. *shrug*

 

...even then, it looks just fine to me.

I'm a very big fan of dark art and grimdark. Pretty much anything dark, unless it's done real bad. I'm trying to aim to make art like Pig-Fish, CrookedTrees and ColorlessCupake. So do you think this is any good or not? Is there anything that could be better? What're your thoughts?

Wow... That would be considered good even if you hadn't been completely drunk whilst drawing it! As for adding depth I tend to do it by choosing a light direction then adding darker colours on the far side from the light and slightly lighter colours on the side where you've decided light is coming from, it kinda make the face 'pop out' a bit more

Wow that's heaps good. I wish I could draw like that. It's pretty creepy but awesome I was about to go to sleep but I might stay on the forums for a while should have viewed that pic during the day lol. It kind looks like something off binding of isac.

Were you highly intoxicated? Haha I'm kidding, this is sick, I really love its creepiness and the fact that you drew this drunk is pretty impressive! I can't say that I never tried drunk drawing but let's say the results where as horrible as drunk driving...
