Minath smiled.

 

"Oh, I understand that you personally wouldn't do it, it's just seeing fire circling around somepony, like scarlet dancing snakes, waiting for their next prey, just brings up some memories I'd rather not call to mind." Minath said, wing feathers twitching.

Diamond sighed and and surrounded her body in a thick shield of smoke, blocking the attack. A moment later she sent the smoke so it surrounded both her and Lycan. She then held up her hoof and sent another column of smoke at Lycan.

 

 

 

 

Fire patted Minath on the shoulder. "I won't do anything like that to you, Sugar." She said, smiling.

Lycans eyes widened, "oh crap! My exits blocked! How am I gonna get out of this one!?" Thought lycan in a panic as her attack came closer, lycan then grinned as he got an idea, "sorry about this diamond.......SOUND DRAGONS ROAR!!" Yelled lycan before exhaling a massive wave of sound, blowing away all the smoke, and knocking diamond off her feet.

Lycans eyes widened, "oh crap! My exits blocked! How am I gonna get out of this one!?" Thought lycan in a panic as her attack came closer, lycan then grinned as he got an idea, "sorry about this diamond.......SOUND DRAGONS ROAR!!" Yelled lycan before exhaling a massive wave of sound, blowing away all the smoke, and knocking diamond off her feet.

 

Diamond turned back into her smoke form before the attack hit her...which was good considering that attack could have killed her.

She reformed to a solid state and casually brushed herself off before looking up at Lycan. The smoke from her cigarette formed into a ball about the same size as somepony's head. Without saying a word, or a change in facial expression, she sent the ball flying at Lycan's chest, knocking him back. "You know that attack could kill me right?" She said, exhaling smoke from her nose.

Fire nodded. "I understand..." She said, looking up as the arena came into view.

Minath nodded as the Arena came into view, and drifted away from Fire. She flew up to examine the Arena, to get a clue of the architecture. She preferred to know her surroundings. She landed next to Rambler after checking it out.

"So? Are you nervous?" Minath asked Rambler.

Thunder looked at sole. He raised his hoof ever so slowly. Took a slow, but deep breath. And raised his head "no" his head hung after the words escaped his mouth. He just turned around and looked at the arena. He wondered how the architecture was made, and how long did it take to build.

Sole's eye twitched as he walked away "you bucking troll!" He growled angrily, making his lightning aura increase "don't just back out now, I wanna have a good brawl before the games!" He quickly flew up to him and tapped the back of his head "c'mon thunder, take your best shot!" He offered, as he obtained a fighting stance.

Rambler shook his head. "No point in getting nervous now. If we're good enough and we work together, we'll win. Otherwise, we don't deserve to. I'd certainly rather go home with a trophy, but worrying about it isn't going to help things. If I'm nervous about anything, it's that somepony in the guild will get seriously hurt during the games."

"Well somepony is deep this morning" Minath said, smirk on her face. "Are you exited that we might face the other half of Fairy Tail? I mean, I get to beat up Iron and you get to beat up your brother, seems like it would be fun, huh?" Minath asked Rambler. Even the possibility that she might fight Iron had her hyped.

Rambler shrugged. He hadn't really been thinking about it. "I guess so. Um... not to rain on your parade or anything, but you realize Iron is a fire magic user, right? Aren't you worried about that if you end up facing her?"

Flint noticed she seemed rather distant. "Is something wrong, Iron?"

She slowly stood up and wiped the blood from her nose. She picked up her hat and put it back on before grabbing another cigarette and lighting it.

The small puff of smoke that floated from her mouth morphed into a blunt spike. She aimed it at Lycan's head and let it loose, sending it flying at the spot in between his eyes.

If it hit, nothing too bad would happen...just a headache and some bruising.

Rambler turned to Fire Sky, having practically forgotten she was there. "Oh Faust, I'm so sorry I keep ignoring you! You must think I'm a complete jerk by now. I really don't mean to it's just... when your marefriend is the sexiest pony in the whole world, it's hard to pay attention to much else."

Minath shrugged.

 

"Fire magic freaks me out, yeah, but the prospect of beating up Iron is just so tantalizing, it just kinda overrules my fears. Like jumping over a pit to get something you want. The journey is scary as heck but you put up with it because the reward is worth it." Minath finishes with another shrug.

 

Minath blushed at Rambler's words, "Sexiest pony in the whole world" He just knew how to make her turn scarlet!

"Huh? Oh, um, everything's fine. Just thinking of ways to get the other team off guard." Iron said. "I'm thinking I could use my miniatures.... but that would use up magic. but they only take a minimal amount to make. Like, I could do them in my sleep they're so easy." Iron finished, brought back to the present.

Fire raised an eyebrow. "Uh huh..." She said. *That's a little degrading.* She thought to herself. "I think I am gonna go check out the arena. I'll meet you guys at the training grounds." She smiled and trotted off into the arena where her smile faded. *Couples are cute...allot of the time...but couples obsessed with each other get annoying....and in the way when you're battling. Let's just hope they're different in a fight.* She thought to herself, walking towards the mane part of the arena.

((Heh heh, scarlet. And you use requipping magic. Anyone else find that amusing? Does anyone else even know what I mean, for that matter?))

 

Rambler had to respect Minath's logic, and her willingness to face her fear, even if it was driven by hate. He also couldn't help but think  once again how cute she looked when she blushed.

Lycan smirked and turned into sound waves, causing the spikes to pass through him, lycan smirked, "I'm such an idiot for, not doing that in the first place.....but whatever, I think that's enough training for today...." said lycan before becoming tangible once more and rubbing the back of his head as he saw her bloody nose, and blushed, "I'm sorry for hurting you like that....I wouldn't blame you for being mad at me..." said lycan quitely.

"We should head in, huh? Meet with the rest of our team?" Minath said, looking to Rambler. Faust, she would be lost without him.

Enough miniatures will surely wear me out... and I don't know if Flint knows this is basically a 24-hour thing.... so I might not be able to use my usual method of the miniatures kissing....

Rambler nodded. "I guess so. We don't really have all that much longer before the games start." He wrapped his foreleg around her shoulders and led her into the arena.

Flint shrugged yet again. "Alright well, I guess I'm going to go inside and meet up with the rest of the team. Try not to stay out here too long, alright? Wouldn't want to miss the opening of the games."

Minath smiled as Rambler led her into the arena. At least he was comfortable with her incompetence.

 

That smile lasted until she realized just how many ponies there were. She slinked off into a less-crowded spot and hoped that the crowds thinned out.

"Right" Iron said, and after a few more thought-filled moments, went inside the arena. She hoped her group would meet up soon.

Sole sighed and walked away angrily "alright, screw you too wannabe. Just wanted to help... and show you who's boss!" He said confidently, as he walked into the arena to wait for the other guild members to arrive. He quickly saw iron and instantly turned to leave "nope!" He said quickly, walking toward the exit.

Iron saw Sole walk into the Arena, then back out. She was bored, so she followed him.

 

"Hey Sole! Wait up!" She yelled when she was a good 7 feet behind him. He wasn't that far away, and she wanted to talk to him.

 

Wait, what? I want to talk to somepony? That's a first. I generally loathe company.

Iron saw Sole walk into the Arena, then back out. She was bored, so she followed him.

 

"Hey Sole! Wait up!" She yelled when she was a good 7 feet behind him. He wasn't that far away, and she wanted to talk to him.

sole sighed and inwardly facepalmed *aw crap... I've been busted! What now?* he thought nervously, as he turned around "oh, hey iron... I didn't notice you there... what do you wanna talk to me about?" He said nervously, as he smiled awkwardly and scratched his head.

Iron said, a goofy lopsided grin on her face. "I noticed you switched teams. Why was that? It's okay if you don't want to tell me, but leaving it to my imagination isn't very wise."

Iron said, a goofy lopsided grin on her face. "I noticed you switched teams. Why was that? It's okay if you don't want to tell me, but leaving it to my imagination isn't very wise."

sole almost facepalmed then and there, but managed to stay calm *c'mon c'mon, I need an excuse...* he thought nervously "i-i uhh, well..." he stuttered, before calming down "I uhh, wanted to compete against you in the games, you know, a little freindly competition!" He lied, as he smiled nervously.

As the guild members gathered in the arena, an announcement came on from somewhere in the center of the arena. "All competitors, please head to your guild's entrance tunnel and await for your guild's name to be called. The Games are about to begin."

 

((Sorry guys, but I have to go to sleep now. The games will actually be starting tomorrow.
