A Potential Equestria Girls 2

If any time a sequel were to be announced, here's how I feel the story should go:

 

Twilight's human double moves into town for her first day at Canterlot High.  There, she meets up with five girls who confuse her for the Twilight they met in the first Equestria Girls, just because she looks, acts, and shares the same name as her.  Human Twilight becomes bewildered by all this, and even the idea that the school statue was a portal to another world called Equestria.  The girls eventually become disappointed to see not only a Twilight who doesn't remember everything that happened, but also one who didn't want to be their friend like Pony Twilight, just because all she wants to do is study.

 

Out of curiosity, though, as Human Twilight investigates the statue, she falls through it and enters Equestria, only this time she became a pony to fit in with the universe!  As she struggles to adjust to her new pony body, she would later on meet six mares, five of whom resemble those humans, and one of them resembling her.  The girls were right all along, Human Twilight would think.

 

The six mares introduce themselves to Human Twilight (still in pony form) as they each tell their sides of the story.  Saddened by the idea that her human counterpart never wanted friends, especially with the five humans Pony Twilight united, Pony Twilight tries to teach Human Twilight the important values of friendship.

 

Meanwhile, another new girls transfers to Canterlot High: Pony Sunset Shimmer's human-counterpart!  As Pony Sunset tells Human Sunset about what happened to her during the events of EqG1, she then corrupts Human Sunset so that they could work together to exact revenge on Pony Twilight for what happened during the prom.  And, they do this by holding the Human Five hostage.

 

Meanwhile, Pony Twilight helps Human Twilight learn to socialize with other ponies, starting with her five friends.  Originally, Human Twilight was reluctant to accept Pony Twilight's friends as her own, because to her, friendship doesn't matter to her compared to studying at Canterlot High.  Then, they receive a package in the mail: A cell-phone from the human-world.  In it, there was a message from the two Sunsets telling Pony Twilight to come to the rooftop of Canterlot High to trade the Element of Magic for her human friends.  With no other choice, the two Twilights must team up to save the Human Five.

 

The other five main ponies stood guard behind the magic mirror any time the two Sunsets escape, while Pony and Human Twilight enter the mirror to save their friends.  The two do trade the EoM for the other five girls, but eventually the two Sunsets turn on each other to see who gets the tiara.  They drop the tiara, and the two Twilights grab it and run back to the portal.  Human Twilight and her new friends then hold off the two Sunsets long enough for Pony Twilight to escape through the portal to Equestria, and it's from there, Human Twilight takes everything she learned from her pony counterpart about friendship, and applies it to helping her friends deal with the two Sunsets.

 

Also, Pony Sunset enters the portal to Equestria to grab the EoM from Twilight, but is then arrested by the Crystal Empire's royal guards, one of them Flash Sentry himself.  As for Human Sunset, Human Twilight and her friends manage to successfully keep her away from the portal as it closes behind Pony Sunset.

 

Since those events, Human Twilight would eventually grow to accept her new human friends for who they are, thanks to Pony Twilight, her pony friends, and everything they taught her.

If a sequel to Equestria Girls were announced, I would throw myself off a bridge.

 

Of course there won't be, EG existed solely to promote a new line of toys, they won't make another movie for it, it wouldn't make sense financially

I once learned that there will be a line of Equestria Girls comics coming soon.  Surely this counts as promoting even more of Equestria Girls.

 

Also, somepony told me that Equestria Girls might be a pilot for a potential new series.

I really don't have a problem with it, a comic series, TV series I'm cool with it. I wanna see it before I judge, I've seen a couple songs from the movie, I thought it was great and adorable

I once learned that there will be a line of Equestria Girls comics coming soon.  Surely this counts as promoting even more of Equestria Girls.

 

Also, somepony told me that Equestria Girls might be a pilot for a potential new series.

Comics would make sense, they're far easier and cheaper to produce than a movie. I have doubts about whether a spinoff tv show would ever happen though

I honestly don't see this happening. Due to My Little Pony is used to promote products (However, it slowly morphed into a true Television cartoon series, one of the most successful because of 4chan.), it wouldn't make sense financially, like SoarinBlue said.

 

An Equestria Girls comic would indeed make more sense. The comics make up for the long S4 wait, and i'm sure these geniuses that created the comic would be happy to promote Hasbro and the Equestria Girls toy line further by doing a comic series touching up a couple of parts the original Equestria Girls missed, like the reason why the Mane Six stayed back.

IDW confirmed a comic Tie-In for the EG movie.

 

No date announced yet but we may get more info on the EG Movie Comic at San Diego Comic Con Next month.

 

As for a sequel to the movie its any ponies guess.

 

So wait & see what happens.

If hasbro wanted to make an equestria girls 2, they couldnt. Although the first was awesome, it got to many bad reviews. Through that, hasbro would estimate how much funding the 2nd movie would (which wouldnt be that much) and the movie would be canceled before it hit theaters. BUT...This doesnt stop hasbro and dhx from making a real my little pony movie.

Wait, the Equestria Girls comics could explain potential plot-holes from the film, like why Twilight entered the mirror alone?  If so, then I also hope they address the plot-hole of Twilight lacking her own humanized counterpart, because if there's anything spin-offs like the comics are good at, it's addressing plot-holes.

No offence to anyone, but I personally think that EG 1 was a terrible movie. 

Watch everything wrong with equestrian girls on youtube and you will see what I

Most sites I see rate it between 75-85. IMDB gives it a 6.6/10, but that's still a passing score, and films with far lower ratings have been given sequels before.

Meh- whatever happens happens. I hope there isn't a EQ2, but this is Hasbro we're talking about here. If they can make profit off of it the movie will happen.

What was so "terrible" about the first movie? I thought it was "okay". It wasn't a crowning achievement, but it had a lot of redeeming qualities. It certainly wasn't as bad as everyone expected it to be, and to be fair, there was no way that movie could have possibly been "amazing" simply because it was lucky it was even able to be "decent" with the ridiculous amount of hatred it got before the trailer was even shown. It was cursed with a bad reputation before it even got a chance to preview itself, so the fact it turned out even remotely watchable is an accomplishment in itself.

All depends on if you have good writers and if you make it make sense. I think that since everyone assumed the first movie was going to suck hardcore nuts, and then when it actually came out had a pretty positive opinion of it shows that the writers are decent enough to even work against fans walking in with extreme feelings of resentment. Ultimately the brony opinion of the movie seems to be that it was "alright". Which makes me think that if they were to do a sequel, they have the writing team to make it work.

i think there could be a possible second movie but i really hope not but i dont know why everyone is so upset over the movie was it amazing no good not really but it was okay sure the problems in the movie got resolved in like a nano second such as the twilight photos and sunset shimmer ruining the dance and then it suddenly being clean in song montage but that does not qualify a movie as being horrible the plot i thought was kind of cool even if it did remind me of a fanfiction in total the movie was not great just okay also
