" Come on, Silver! It's not that cold!" Lyona called before diving under and surfacing again. " You'll get used to it! And plus, you stink a bit." She stuck her tongue out and splashed him with the water. Her mane was dripping wet, and flat. She ruffled her hair to clean it.

 

"Oh... I stink do I?" He said with a mischievous grin before leaping into the lake with a loud

 

*Splash* and dunking Lyona under the surface playfully, Then swimming away, wings raised like a swan about to take off. 

 

Then with a less than serious tone in his voice he said

 

"Lyona, you really aren't taking this mission seriously, This is NOT an adventure or a game and it's no time to prance aroud and play like some silly filly from Philly.' He shook his hoof at her in mock chastisement " With the way you're acting you would think there was something in the water... oh wait... It's us!"

 

Then Silver dived down under the water and out of sight.

Lyona sputtered when her head reached the surface again. She readied her hoof to splash him back.

 

 

 

"Lyona, you really aren't taking this mission seriously, This is NOT an adventure or a game and it's no time to prance aroud and play like some silly filly from Philly.' He shook his hoof at her in mock chastisement " With the way you're acting you would think there was something in the water... oh wait... It's us!"

 

She pretended to be hurt. " Me?" She struck the most dramatic pose she could while dripping wet and in water. She was about to reply when he dove underwater. Smirking evilly, she dove after him.

Turning away from the cocky stallion, Cinder rolled her eyes.

"Didn't you just shout at me for being in there?" she grumbled, sitting at the edge of the pool. "It's plenty big enough!"

Should I leave them alone? No I guess someponys got to watch Minty and Red.... and Minty.' "Hey, I'm thinking insi... Oh. Never mind."

Kind of funny story, I was thinking about how Cinder is changing in this RP and went to look at some of my old vectors... turns out that at some point she actually started to look more mature in my art...

 

Then the song that Celestia sings in the most recent episode popped into my head and I threw this together:

Hiding his biggest smirk ever... Silver Note tried and tried and TRIED to restrain himself... but... Silver couldn't resit the temptation any more! He burst into song.

 

 

 

 

 

Then on a more serious note he turned to Cinderblock, stepping up onto the box that Derpy had give him.

 

"Two Minty's... Sweet and innocent s they are, and as much as that seems like no harm... The real Minty deserves to leave her own carbon hoofprint on Equestria... one of a kind in the poniverse with no Imposters. She has the right to explore who she is and fill her own space. Hoof prints that only we as a unique individuals should be able to walk in."

 

Silver stepped down off the soap box.

 

 

Silver paced back and forth. There was one little secret that he DID know about the real Minty, but he'd promised her he'd never reveal it! he debated with himself what to do....

 

I can't break my promise to her... even tough this IS a life and death situation... or more like... life and 'nother life situation... but still. I'd lose her respect and friendship forever If i openly said this.... No... I'll have to try and maintain the secret but still ask them.

 

"Let me handle this Reddie" Silver said to the bigger stallion. Then he trotted over to the two Minties.

 

"Please come with me you two." he said to the Minty's. He hoped beyond all hope that this would work.

 

He waited to see if the Minty's were still too dazed to follow him or not.

 

((OOC been kind of imaging that Redwave is bigger than Silver. my Quotes don't want to behave this evening..)))

"Uh. Can you tell the two apart? Redwave asked before shrugging. "What? Don't give me that look, sweet Minty's well being comes before our petty strife."

 

It was strange, talking at the Pegasus instead of shouting or snarling.

 

"So can you? How do we detect the visage of the imposter?"

"I'm the real Minty," the doppelganger sneered at Minty. "Okay," Minty says, backing down. Minty started to follow Silver. "You needed us?" the doppelganger said to Silver. Minty sat her flank down and watched as the doppelganger hopelessly flirted with Silver before she sat down. "Um, what are--" Minty asked midquestion, before the doppelganger interrupted her and asked, "WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?"

Not that two Minty's wasn't pleasing to the eye...

 

He shook his head again - this sorcery was getting to him, swaying his thoughts.

Minty looked at Redwave. "You can tell us apart. . can you?" Minty asked. 'No, he can't, Minty. He doesn't like you. You and him are just 'friends.'' she thought to herself.

'' I'm guessing that they found that mirror pond, that projects a copy/doppelganger of themselves. So, you guys are trying to figure out which one is the real Minty.''

 

Fireblaze tries to think of other ways on trying to find out which one is the real Minty. '' Well good luck with that.''

Impetus peers into the cave. What! Everyone just decided to leave me alone in the woods and go for a nice, happy swim? Seriously! Wait, why is Cinder looking at Greenwave, or whatever his name is, like that? Why does Silver look like he's just been to Tartarus and back? And, why... Celestia, why... are there two Mintys?!

 

Impetus rushes in. "What the hay is going on in here?!"

He looked between the two pegasus ponies. How could he be sure? Even if he suspected, could he really take that chance on that shy mare...?

He asked with his jaunty smile.

-Seems like they're handling it pretty well.- Lyona smiled as she came up for air. She paddled in the cold water, enjoying it's freshness. -They've taken up the quiz idea quite well, too. It's rather obvious as well who's the real Minty. I won't intervene... Yet.-

The real Minty had to take a moment to process what he actually said. 'On your.. most radiant beauty.' Before she can answer, she tried to suppress a blush, then looked away smiling.

However, the doppelgänger just answered with no facial expression. "In the forest, while I was grey."

"No, really. Why are there two Mintys, and why is everypony staring at them, while Lyona is taking a bath?" says Impetus, trotting into the cave, confused. "Hey, look, a poem. I like poems..."

Lyona was floating on top on the pool, looking at the high stone ceiling." Minty accidentally cloned herself. I'm taking a bath in the pool where the doppleganger came from. Don't read that poem, it'll make a clone." The sandy pegasus giggled a little at her last sentence. " Hehe. I rhymed."

Redwaves smile changed into a smirk at their responses.

 

"Strange thing that Minty..." He reached out for the blushing mares hoof. "I'm willing to make my bets on the sweet mare I know."

 

"The sweet mare who fled in a panic when I tried to speak about her less than an hour ago."

"Oh, so they deal with the problems while you take a bath? Gotcha." Impetus reclines back on a rock formation, watching Redwave and Minty converse. "You know, it actually looks like he knows what he's doing. What's he going to do to the clone, I wonder? Probably hit it with a large, blunt object. Yup, that's Orangewave for you. Hitting everything with a large blunt object. Yup."

" Really smart." She giggled. " You should've seen your face!" The pegasus then splashes him with the healing water, before diving back to the bottom of the pool. After a few minutes, she came back up for air.

"Not at all, come now, there is no need for you to apologise. If anything it should be I begging your forgiveness for not seeing the difference sooner!

 

His blustering tone died down a little.

 

"... My apologies for not being able to tell sooner, but I could not risk choosing wrongly and loosing you. He smiled as he watched her intently.

 

((And on that note, I'm not going to be on for a few hours, so I leave it to you folks to figured out what to do to the fake Minty ))

Minty smiled and gave Redwave a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you," Minty said, trotting back to the camp. Before she did though, she pushed the doppelganger into the pond, the clone disappearing quickly. She lied down on a tree, drifiting off with a smile on her face.

"Hey!" Impetus yelps as the cold water splashes over him. Then he notices his bruises rapidly healing. "Thanks...?" he says unsurely, climbing to his hooves and regaining his oh-so-dignified pose.

 

He watches as Minty shoves her clone in the water. "Wow, that thing looked like it was having tons of fun disintegrating. Maybe I should give it a shot."

 

Impetus dives in the pool and bangs his head on the bottom. "Good grief..."

" Well you're not having any luck today. " Lyona had a small smirk on her face. " At least the water heals you up immediately, so there isn't going to be a bruise... " 

 

She splashed Impetus' head a couple of times, to make sure it healed up. - We could've really used this water earlier...-

Impetus assumes his best mockery of a Rarity voice. "Oh, it is ON!" He narrows his eyes, splashing Lyona back absently. It's the most hare-brained thing I've thought of all day, which is saying a lot, but still, what could possible go wrong with me cloning myself? I mean, I wouldn't turn against myself, would I? No, I'm not that kind of person. I'm sort of like Fluttershy, I think. My clone army would definitely help us fight whatever nasty things are in this forest. I mean, what could possibly go wrong with a bunch of Impetuses?

 

Impetus starts to recite the poem quietly.

Silver scrambled to the shore, watching as Minty threw her fake self into the pond.

 

"So it was as simple as that eh? All we had to do was push both Minty's into the water and the real one would have been the one left standing. Why didn't we think of that sooner?"

 

He watched sadly as the real Minty gave Redwave a kiss on the cheek.

 

"I'm must destined to be alone" he thought to himself with a heavy sigh.

Minty trotted up to Silver when she saw him trotting back to camp. "Silver! Silver! I actually got the nerve to kiss Redwave!" she fangirled, her wings allowing her to lie down in the air. She noticed his sad expression. "Silver? Are you alright?" Minty asked, her smile fading.

Fireblaze returned from killing the bear and after eating a lot of berries.
 

'' Don't worry Silver, you will find your very special somepony. You just have to wait and see.'' Fireblaze kisses Silver on the cheek.
