My fanfic drawing

For my the Guardians fanfic I'm working on, I have drawn a picture showing one of my own created characters Skybolt, a Guardian wolf, meeting Rainbow Dash by giving each other a hoof-paw bump

It looks pretty good overall, the style is a bit different to the shows, so i'm not sure how much yo want it following the shows, but yeah. 

 

The head on Rainbow dash needs to be a bit more circular I think, its somewhat blocky looking in some places, maybe not all that much, but from my view it seems that way.

 

Rainbow dash's body is very thin, I think she could use some more, her body size stays the same as her neck size more or less it seems, while the body should get a good bit bigger after the neck. 

 

Her hoofs might be a bit thin aswell, not a whole lot, but I think they could maybe use a little idk.

 

Skybolt seems find to me far as I can tell though.

 

Its still a pretty good job regardless .

@Zygen has covered about the drawing. I think I've given you some references for the proportion in the other thread. Practice often, and you will draw great.

 

By the way, if you need some assistant with your fanfic, you may contact me in the proof reader group (pinned on the Creative Resource section). Even though there are some other proof readers, I will proof read yours personally if you ask.

Why is his/her name "Skybolt" when wolves dont normaly fly? (*note: at first i didnt notice it, and i dont consider it to be a huge problem, so dont go drawing an entirely new picture/fan-fic just because of this post, unless you want to). Also, could you post a link to where we can read the fan-fic? (that is, if any of it is online currently). I really like the idea of it from what i can tell, and would wish to read it. Thanks!

My fanfic is working in progress right now, but when I'm finished, the fanfic will be on FIMFanfiction.net. Also, I named her Skybolt cause I wanting her to be daring, adventurous and I called part of her name 'bolt' because she can run very fast like a lightning bolt and another part of her name 'sky' since her fur colour is sky blue. Btw she also speaks in a Cockney accent

Please try to post it here first before you go to FimFiction. That place is filled by trolls and rude people who give no constructive criticism without insults. You can use Google Doc to write your story, and make a thread containing the link to your Google Doc in the Fan Fiction sub section, in this forum. You will get nice feedback here, and you can also check the proof reader group in the Creative Resource sub section. It's pinned on the hall, so it won't be hard to find. You can go there by the link on my signature as well.

 

There are some friendly proof readers waiting to proof read stories from authors in the fandom, and I guarantee that they will be fun to work with.

Glad to help. I just dislike that place. I've seen many novice authors get insulted there, and that make them stop writing. Even I found some advanced writers who left FimFiction. That really pisses me off. Not to mention about the clopfics.

 

By the way, I'm also a part of the MLP Forums Proof Reader Group.
