"I agree. And thanks for everything, I had a really good time." Pink felt that he understood her, she had never felt like this around any colt before. Pink found herself staring into Darkshift's eyes, imagining him as her dream stallion. Maybe just maybe.

Darkshift stared back into Pink's green eyes,the check appeared for the food "I'll get that"Darkshift commented grasping the receipt and placing a few bits on the table before handing it back to the waiter "Lets get back to the hotel"Darkshift said getting himself up and gesturing towards the door.

Pink was zapped out of her daydream by the waiter coming to deliver the check. "I'll get that." She heard Darkshift say. "Aw he really is a gentleman." She thought to herself. She followed him out the door towards the hotel. The sunset looked AMAZING. "Wow what a beautiful sunset." Pink told Darkshift. All the pinks and the oranges behind the clouds made the sky look on fire.

Darkshift noticed the sunset,all the colours creating a vision of pure,natural amazement."Yeah,it is beautiful"Darkshift sighed in happiness,he gazed at the sky for a second longer before carrying on with the journey back to the hotel "Do you fancy an apple cider when we get back?"Darkshift smiled nudging her shoulder.

"Hmm since you're offering and all." Pink Mist giggled. "Sure why not? We can hang out some more." She secretly thanked and praised apple cider, because it had led her to meet such a nice stallion. Plus her tough personality that couldn't refuse a challenge was also to blame.

Darkshift smiled,he was happy to be spending more time with the mare.Darkshift noticed the hotel appearing in the distance wondering if there was anything interesting happening.Even though Darkshift considered it was a date he was happy that she said hang out because in his mind it means she isn't paranoid about calling it dating.

"Can I have an apple cider please?" Pink Mist asked for the drink after he and Darkshift arrived at the bar. "So what are you gonna have this time?" She asked her companion. She was glad he had decided to spend more time with her. They could get to know each other better, and hopefully next time they went out together would consider it a date.

"Erm,I don't plan in getting two drunk so I may just have a pint"Darkshift answered attempting to think logically.Darkshift approached the bar"Alright mate,I'll have two apple ciders please?"Darkshift asked the bar man and placing a few bits on the bar.He received the drinks and gave one to Pink.

"Thanks. So why did you start traveling?" Pink Mist had already told him her motive, now she was curious about his. The apple cider tasted great, it reminded her of the night she met Darkshift. Just the night before. The drink in her hand had started the big mess.

Darkshift took a quick sip of the regular taste of apple cider."Honestly,I started adventuring,just because I wanted to"Darkshift stated glancing at his cider "There was no real motive I just decided that I wanted to explore the Crystal Kingdom so I did"Darkshift rubbed his eyes.

"The Crystal Empire is really nice. I wish I were a crystal pony and had such an awesome coat and mane. But what they went through before must have been just awful." Pink remembered that when the Empire suddenly emerged out of nowhere, everyone found out about the evil king's curse. It made her shudder.

"Yeah,every time I talked to the locals they always had that fear within them"Darkshift mentioned with a hint of sympathy towards the unlucky ponies,however he knew the crystal ponies would be fine and safe with there leaders in carve and protecting the empire.

Sunset kept her head down so she couldn't see if anypony was staring at her. She listened to the mare speak. She decided she could ttrust this mare, at least somewhat; She was trying to help her and comfort her, and they didn't know each other. The least she could do was tell her the basics of what was wrong.

 

"I-it's just... U-um... S-somepony th-that i w-was starting to t-trust f-f-found out s-something about m-me that I wanted to k-keep s-secret... B-because I-I-I've been bullied all my life over it..."

"I see..." Emerald nodded. "... and now you don't feel like you can trust this pony any more?"

 

If someone had been bullying this sweet little thing, she was going to make sure they regretted it. Emerald continued glaring at the ponies who passed by: most were getting the picture by now, and the room was gradually getting quieter and quieter. 

 

'Now I'm getting somewhere. Come on sweetie, tell me whats wrong. Let me help you." She thought.

"I-I-I don't know," Sunset replied. "I-I've just had stuff like this happen too much; I-I start to trust s-somepony, th-they find out, a-a-and they find some way o-or reason to b-bully me for it..."

Her ears flattened more, though they were already so low it looked like they barely twitched.

"At least they have good leaders now. Princess Cadance is really nice. All of the ponies there say so. I just wish I could meet her, and the other princesses. Princess Celestia only greeted me when me and my friend went to the Grand Galloping Gala once, but that's just her duty. I wish I could really talk to her."

Windy blinked several times, and a few awkwardly quiet seconds passed before he replied. "I..... I don't know what is wrong. Well, besides the fact that I kicked an ashtray and now feel like I broke my hoof. But I kicked it because I was talking to this pony, and I must've done something really bad, because she just ran off, for no real reason.... I don't get it!" he pawed the ground and ground his teeth in frustration, before turning back to the mare. "Sorry, uh, Noon, was it? Yeah, I'm not normally like this, usually I'm much more cool and composed. Then again, I usually at least know why I made a mare run away from me..."

The friend that invited me, his dad works in the royal guard, sorta convinced his dad to tell the princess to give me an invitation, and since the princess is so nice and all. He wanted me to embrace my hometown a little more, kind of felt I was giving it little credit or something. So he just said hey you could come and mingle with some of the ponies here and make a good impression, since I'm considered kind of an embarrassment there." Pink Mist lowered her head a little, she didn't really feel bad for being an embarrassment she just didn't like how everyone treated her when she visited, SHE WAS BORN THERE!

"Thanks for the compliment. I feel free when I travel, nopony is criticizing me." Pink could tell Darkshift was trying to make her feel better, and she appreciated it. "My house in Ponyville is small and it's near the open flower fields. PERFECT PLACE for a nice picnic every now and then. I just like to go there, sit under a tree and read a good book, maybe take a nap under the shade."

Darkshift smiled,quite proud that he had helped her happiness "I'll have to visit sometime"Darkshift commented before realising that his pint of apple cider was about to be terminated "I'm gonna get another drink want one?"Darkshift asked in common courtesy before turning to the bar.

"Sure I guess I could go for another one. And you can visit anytime, I'd love to see you again after our week here is up. We can hang out and maybe travel together. That is if you want."

"Yeah,it would be great to travel with you"Darkshift stated.Before walking up to the bar and getting the drinks of apple cider.He sat back down and placed a drink in front of the mare and in front of himself "But where would you want to go?"Darkshift asked.

"I'm gonna think about that during this week. Not sure where I want to go next. Maybe you have an idea. Somewhere you've always wanted to go. I can't think of a place right now. We could totally go together. I would really enjoy the company. We would have a great time together!"
