I'm not too fond of early roleplays, I put myself into my usual position of needing to be prompted, so I am ready and able to wait until I'm needed, no rush. All that means is I won't post until I'm prompted, so feel free to prompt me if it helps move the RP along.

Geez, I've had the RP open nonstop and I'm just now getting to really reading each post.

 

 

 

A screwdriver was lifted with a small bit of magic, sending more sparks off of whatever was covering his horn. In less than a minute it had tightened all of the loose screws so that the device fit more snugly on whomever wore it and the screen didn't fizzle and pop as much.

 

For future reference: this would be the time to make a roll -- in this case, you could use either Intelligence (to apply your know-how to fix the device) or Perception (to do minute tweaks and see what does/doesn't work). Basically, if there is any chance that you could fail at the task you are trying to accomplish (in this case, failure could be damaging or breaking the device), then make a roll.   

 

Wah, wah, wah. My hormones won't let me go more than a couple seconds without killing something.

 

 

Nothing to actually point out here. I just thought that this was quite humorous.

Okey-doke, I suppose I should explain the die rolling a bit better. 

 

First off, straight-up interactions (talking, arguing, etc.) between you guys don't require rolls, as that is all generic roleplaying. If you are sneaking to remain hidden, fighting, or something of THAT sort, then go ahead and make rolls.

 

As for how to announce that you're making a roll, do this: one roll, signified at the end of your post by: what stat you are using, what you are attempting to do, and the number that you got. For instance:

 

"Perhaps I can be of service then! I'll help look for a trail!" Malik declared in his usual sing-song voice, immediately eye the ground, practically scraping his eyes into the ground.

 

A good portion of scrapes and dust has collected on his eyes over the years, clouding his vision somewhat, but his eyesight was still decent. He really should get them replaced, though. However, he hasn't heard about any Pegatron mechanics out there in the Wasteland, or any unbroken TV sets, so any chance of replacements would be slim. Nonetheless, he searched for the eavesdropper's tracks.

 

(Perception roll to assist: 27)

 

Now, assume he had kept describing after he made his roll. He wouldn't know whether he found anything or not until I had made a post informing him of whether his check succeeded!    But because he had the number and what he wanted to do at the end of his post, I knew right where to pick up from when I was replying to his post.

Anyway, I like how this RP is going so far. Lots of infighting, and infighting makes for good storytelling. Or...I dunno, maybe someone will get shot.

Eh, I've been meaning to make a post, but I was kind of hoping/expecting someone else to strike up conversation or a plan of some type.    I'll make a post sometime tonight or tomorrow morning and try to revive interest.

 

If it makes you feel better, I just gave the map to the other group, total freedom to go/do whatever, aaaand nothing for weeks.   Of course, one of my main RPers in that group is gone for the month...

Yeah, yeah, I'm here. Sorry, I've been busy with things in real life. I'll get a move on. On a side note, I think the other group is officially dead, so now I can focus on this group. Yay.

Well, my Eagle Project is tomorrow, and I need to focus on that. So if there is anything tomorrow, it'll be sometime in the evening (for me. Which means Sunday morning for much of the world). Sorry, guys. I really am.
