How was your 4th of July this year, and what was the best 4th of July you ever had ?

 

My Independence Day started of me just with me siting on the forums and continued the same way until me and my family went to watch the fire works at the APL .

 

Then a fire started and their was a lot of smoke but the fire works continued .

Honestly, I would say this is the best 4th of July I have had in a long time, although I am only 19. But yeah, this years was really great. I did have to hang out with my moms boyfriends family for the first part of the day, but it wasn't awkward like it has been in the past. Then I got to chill with my dad for the rest of the night and we shot off our own fireworks. Overall it was a really great day.

It was boring, that's pretty much. I don't recall ever enjoying the fourth of July, since my parents never take me to see the fireworks. Then we had a cook-in and I was surrounded by family members I'm not too favorable of. So, I spent it alone in my room with hardly any sleep and I barely ate...fun.

My 4th of july wasn't that good I all got to do was sit around all day didn't have 

money for fireworks so for about 10 minutes I just watched others fireworks 

go off but couldn't really see them with all the trees

I was a little disappointed honestly. I got out of work early and stuff but I don't like watching fireworks that my neighbors shoot off. I either like to be in participation of up-close fireworks or be in a wide open area like the train station or the beach, but there were no fireworks at the station and the beach was out of the question. Not to mention it would be very lonely to go by myself. That's another reason. I'm kinda looking to get to know this girl better but she was working the night shift so I was pretty sad. I suppose the only fireworks I was able to see would be my dreams tonight

Hmm it was pretty good! I went on a hike with my dad, brother, and aunt during the daytime. After that, we rested awhile before heading out to see some fireworks. The fireworks were really good this year I swear, there's been advances in fireworks technology or something

Just like any other day besides my family forced me out to go watch fireworks. Fireworks are kinda interesting, but only like once. Not over and over and over.

I spent a few hours playing TF2 which was all just fun maps (lolcano) and I spent another few hours animating ponies. In the afternoon we went to see a Neil Diamond tribute band which turned out to be complete crap. Other than that I had fun.

Every 4th, we've been doing less and less to celebrate America's independence. This year, we did absolutely nothing. Didn't even see fireworks. A bit sad, but I really don't mind all that much. I don't like the loud noises the fireworks make

It was boring and uneventful just like every other day of my life. It was just me, alone, again... Didn't even go watch fireworks because it's fun the first time, but not interesting any other time after that. As for the best Independence Day I ever had. My answer would be none of them. They were all the same.

 

So, I just played AQW and found menial chores around my home in hopes of keeping myself busy and to prevent more negative thoughts. So yeah, It sucked horribly.

Pretty interesting. For the past few years, my family stopped bothering with buying fireworks since all the legal ones are all really "meh" nowadays. But my lil' sis's boyfriend (quite the redneck) brought over some illegal shit like mortars and an M-1000, which were awesome. Couple that with the fact that practically everypony else on my street had the same type of stuff, and I'd consider it the best show I've seen in years.

 

...Of course, it was all well and good till my next door neighbor came out and shouted BS about calling the cops. They never came, though. I guess the authorities' rule of thumb is something along the lines of "unless you're calling to report a fire, injury, or drunk driver, we've got bigger fish to fry." Honestly, with all the real emergencies they're probably swamped with every 7/4, they probably do have better things to do than set out to bust people using illegal fireworks.

Yeah, my day probably would have been boring even with fireworks, but we actually got to shoot off our own, which makes it 20% cooler  a thousand times cooler. They weren't very big, but just the act of lighting a simple bottle rocket is awesome to me. Plus I lit a Roman candle while holding it.

Mine was pretty crappy. Ive been getting panic attacks all day, im having one right now. 

I woke up to my dad calling me mean names, i was sick all day, and now im sitting her trying to slow my heart rate to no avail.

Yeah, holidays feel pretty pointless for me too. I remember being so excited for Christmas when I was younger, but now I really don't care. It's just another day. It seems that the older I get the more I tend to feel this way. Kinda sad, really.

I never really enjoyed Independence Day at all, and this year's 4th of July was one of the most uneventful Inde-days I've ever had. I almost literally did nothing today except watch Federico Fellini's "La Strada", and browse the internet all day.

 

To make matters more disappointing, I recently had to drop out of going to Anime Expo this week due to not being able to get a place to stay for the convention, which has left me with close to nothing fun to do this week.

It was terrible. Here in the UK, people hate to live with the fact that they lost such a huge part of the empire that would've turned out an amazing colony. People are always very depressed and angry at how the incompetence of the military back then could lose to a bunch of volunteers.

Honestly,I didn't even realize it was Independence Day until just now,so my day was pretty normal considering I didn't even realize it.Then again,fireworks banned in Hawaii last I heard and nobody's set any off,so that's probably why I didn't notice.

Mine was great! Probably the best I've ever had.

I went down to watch sum fireworkz with my family and they looked AWESHOEM o3o I tried to get a video, but it just ain't the same. :U

 

Later, I played some TF2, which was fun, and worked on sum fanfic-writing, which was less fun because I'm working on a sad fic.

 

BUUUT, later (aka an hour ago) I re-watched Canterlot Wedding and then went le stargazing. The sky was super clear, and teh starz look AMAZAZING O3O

 

So yeah, it's been pretty awesome. And now's the best part, spending time wif all mah fwends on the ponynet! /)^3^(\
