Darkshift grabbed his quiver and checked his arrows "Well it turns out we have hit civilisation now"Darkshfift yelled "So congrats,now do you want a slice of cake to celebrate"Darkshift mocked "There is no civilisation left in the area"Darkshift stated placing the quiver back over his shoulder "Now my bow"

Well, Wasn't that a surprise one of the fabled alacorn race but she was on the same boat as us now and she could come down a notch but the worrisome time this was to be in. Infection and a collapse of infrastructure Well wasn't my problem- I glanced at my watch in hope's time hadn't crept up on me just yet...I would have to have my injection soon or else but eh i could finish my meal first and have a chat. "So, Am i the only one not from around here?" I casually remarked

Raze quickly put his scope on the one with the bow, and tried to shoot at him, but the bullet missed him by at least two inches.

"Fuckin... dammit!" 

 

They're gonna hear that, and now they're gonna come over here. Raze thought to himself, trying to sneak to another spot quickly.

(Mother of god that's a lot of posts. If it keeps up this fast i'm not going to have time to read everything before I post)

 

Dusk was sat down an alleyway, it was his "usual" spot, under a doorway of an abandoned medical shop. He had a bed inside, and there were only two entrances so it was easily defendable, not to mention the back room being like a safe should he find himself in a predicament. 

 

A few meagre traps lay about his area - nothing special or fancy, the most elaborate being a plank of wood with nails that would swing up from the ground once the trigger was activated. 
"Damn, another day goes by without any news for a cure, or a cause for that matter" he muttered to himself as he examined his kukri knife with a strange affection. "What are we going to do Shadow?" 

"We wait it out, there's nothing else we can do..."

"I know, but, is that really all we have? Just...spending the rest of our lives in this shop, waiting for a rescue that may never come?" 

"Pretty much, but I know as much as you do..." 

"Hmm, true enough - Shh! Quiet, somepony's coming..." 

He hissed quietly as he stood up, backing himself silently into the shop as he heard footsteps to avoid contact with any pony that may have been around. 

 

A single infected trotted past limply, and Dusk stared with piercing eyes as it did so. "We're not safe here anymore" 

"We've not been safe here yet, Dusk, you know that. Best chance would be to find somepony el-"

"No. We're staying here...at least until we can't stay here anymore."

Missy chuckled to herself and passed the bow back to Darkshift, suddenly a bullet passed by his head, on instinct, Missy throws herself at Darkshift and puts a forcefield around him. "Get behind something everypony, we have to find where this pony is." Missy got up and started charging a spell.

''Holy shit! Everypony take cover!'' Splinter said, quickly running behind a crate, revolver in hoof. ''Now, listen, you sneaky little bastard, we don't want no trouble. Don't make yourself wishing you hadn't came here in the first place.'' Splinter yelled to the unknown threat.

Darkshift was taken by complete surprise thinking dammit Darkshift never drop your guard.Darkshift was amazed by the forcefield and quickly picked up his now and drew an arrow "He's given himself away now"Darkshift stated scanning the area for a sign of movement.

Odd, A Gunfighter?....No just another survive stupid as he is for shooting at a group by himself if there was more then him then there would be more activity well that's my theory anyway. Let's see how this play's out.

Raze quickly hid behind a large trash bin. Using a mirror shard he took from his bag, he pointed it out from his hiding spot. He saw from the reflection that there was a forcefield up, and he could see some movement from a crate. He quickly withdrew the mirror and put it back in his bag. He didn't know if they were hunters, so he decided to ask, which to him was pretty stupid, but he did it anyway.

 

"Are you hunters?!" Raze shouted at them, still in his hiding spot.

 

 

 

(I shot because my OC is reckless. Also, my shot count is like 6, now 5 for that one shot.)

"HELL NO, WE AREN'T HUNTERS! OR AT LEAST I THINK SO. Right, guys?" Melodic Stream shouted to the ceiling. "We just happened to meet here. Like, nothing was planned or anything. If you want, you can join us, but you have to give us your gun first. You need to earn our trust now", he said, scrolling his eyes around the ceiling. "Just throw your weapon and come out. We won't hurt you if you don't hurt us!", Melodic Stream said, now looking at a fixed point in the ceiling.

repsol cocked his .44 and peered down the sights, searching for any movement.

"come out come out, wherever you are.." he silently murmered to himself.

as the searching seemed pointless, he lowered the gun a little and decided to go for a more humane approach.

"just get yourself in clear view without any drawn weapons, and we will all come out of this just fine!" he yelled at the stranger

"You hear that? Sounds like more survivors, Shadow. Close by too." Dusk mumbled, seemingly to himself again at the gunshot that sounded no more than a few blocks away. "You think maybe the old warehouse?" 

He chuckled to himself as he stood up, looking out of the window and seeing several infected ponies turn to face the direction the gunshot came from. "Guess these things must be getting smart" he shook his head as he spoke, closing his eyes and sheathing his kukri. "That's not good." 

 

Dusk then made his way into the back of the shop, taking his time not to move too fast to avoid detection, especially as he opened the back door and stepped into the alley. "Let's go check it out" He was rather tall, so sneaking around was slightly more difficult for him, meaning he would have to move much slower than normal to avoid detection. 

 

After ducking and crawling behind several obstacles, he eventually found himself outside the warehouse, where sure enough there were several shadows of ponies inside. Carefully, trying to avoid attention, he slipped inside and dived behind a storage crate, listening intently to anything he may pick up.

"I don't trust anyone, and I'm pretty sure that's an understandable reason to shoot at someone you don't know." Raze shouted back.

 

He heard repsol's threat. "Yep, that's a good way to get me not to shoot you: threatening me! You know, why don't we all just lay our weapons down, and approach this like civilized folk, huh?!"

Missy was astounded. "Civilized, CIVILIZED!, do not talk to use about civilized, you shot at us, you don't get to decide when we should be "civilized", so get out here and we won't shoot. 

Missy leans over and whispers to Darkshift: "If he makes one wrong move, put an arrow into his head."

"Fine then! Have it your way!" he shouted. He sighed, and came out of his hiding spot, rifle down on the ground. He carefully walked slowly towards the group. 

 

"Alright, you win. Just don't shoot like you said, alright? I made a mistake thinking you were hunters, and that's why I shot."

''Now that's what I like to hear.'' Splinter said, rising from his cover and setting down his revolver on the crate he had been hiding behind. ''Just so we don't end up eating each over alive, how about we introduce ourselves?'' Splinter said while rolling his eyes.

Raze was silent for a moment, but decided to go along with it anyway. 

 

"...I'm Raze." he said not moving an inch. "I was just trying to get through, and then I saw your group. I thought you were hunters, because you almost looked like the same group of ponies that nearly ambushed me and killed my friend."

''Nice to meet you, Raze.'' Splinter said, hinting a smile. ''My name is Splinter. I was just walking by, scavenging. Trying to forget the fact that those damn fungus things took away my only friend. If anyone was wondering, I specialize in molotovs and bombs.''

"Hmmm... Well, nice to meet you too," Raze said to Splinter. He sighed as he sat down on the ground, a bit tired from the trek, and the little confrontation with this group. 

 

"The fungus took your friend, huh? Well, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't believe I almost shot you..."

"I'm Missy Starlight, i'm descended from Star Swirl the Bearded, (i don't know whether or not the lore applies in this.), i specialize in all things magical, potions, enchantments, that kind of stuff. I don't carry a gun or any kind of physical weapon, because magic is all i need."

''Yeah. After that I've been gathering as much as I can on the infected. I found this near an abandoned shop.'' Splinter said while pulling a small piece of paper out of his saddlebag. The paper was in horrible condition and ripped around a corner. It looked like this :

"Well, I already know that much about what the infected look like." Raze said while examining the paper. Then he saw the bottom right hand corner was torn, and that another stage was torn out with it.

 

"Hmmm... but what the hell do you think this might've been?" he said while pointing out the torn part.

"I dunno, but I know exactly where we shouldn't go. I'm Melodic Stream, by the way", said him, approaching Raze and the others. "Fungus like moist and dark places. If we can avoid those, we should be much safer", he said, removing the wet rag from his muzzle. "Okay, I think my sneezing settled down. Now, I suggest we do a scan to be sure that we don't have an accidental infected among us. Anypony with a horn able to do the job?" Melodic said, looking around.

Every clicker,infected and smore in the area raised their heads at the sound of the gunshot and a giant swarm was slowly approaching the warehouse (thought I'd add a bit of action)

Darkshift sheathed his arrow but still kept an eye out for any untrustworthy movements "I've heard they evolve but whatever's in that bottom corner doesn't seem to friendly"Darkshift mentioned wondering what was behind the rip.

Dusk stepped out from the side of the crates, seeing the other ponies in the warehouse had calmed down, he figured now was as good a chance as any...

 

"We're not safe in here, you know." Dusk called out as he stepped to the side and started walking towards the other ponies, kukri sheathed by his side, but easy to brandish should he need it. "After I heard your gunshots, I decided to check this place out, had to sneak past a good dozen or so of them to get here unnoticed. Who knows how many more are on their way?" He spoke in a serious matter-of-fact tone of voice, trying to get the others to know he was serious. 

 

(So I think i'm going to have Dusk be less of his usual shy self thanks to the whole, infected apocalypse setting, if that's okay?)
