I promise... that whatever I can do within my power to stay alive, I will do it. If it means making myself more physically capable, then I will, If it means to retreat from a fight, I will. I know I cannot swear that I wont die, because I would be lying, but I can swear that whatever chance I get to avoid risking my life, I will take it". Cloud knew it was a long shot, he had lost Nidal's trust and her faith in him to the point that perhaps... she didnt love him anymore... he cast away these thoughts, he couldnt think like that, all he could do now was try his best to regain her faith, that perhaps during this process he can regain her heart... I want to believe that you won't die but... even I was helpless against Despair! I can't fight her one-on-one because she'd just grab you, and I'd be powerless. Go get the element. Get it quickly and then send me a signal when you're far away enough. A flare, a beam, anything that I'll be able to see from anywhere." With that, she rolled over again and took to the air. He found Crystal and the rest of the group where he left them. With a look of new determination, he called out firmly, "Lets get moving everypony, we got an element to find"... Strong Hooves 289 February 19, 2012 Author Share February 19, 2012 Cloud looked to Crystal, "Nidal is going to keep Despair busy while we get the element, once we find it, we leave the city, but not until we find something to signal her with to tell her we made it out ok" he then looked to the ground, "You... were right but... she is... different now... and Im not sure how to get the old her back" Cloud shook his head, then turned to lead the group into the city... ... meanwhile, Somber had come to and was now wandering boredly around the city, looking for another victim, "To bad I didnt get long to play with that other pony... Nidal spotted Somber a bit offset from her position and on the ground. She sped up into the sky before flipping around and blasting her way towards Somber. As she approached, she flipped around so her hooves were poised to strike her first. ((This would shatter Nidal and most likely Somber if it hits, which is exactly what she wants, seeing as that gives the main group time as their entire bodies reform.)) Im not sure she even... loves me anymore" Cloud continued to walk as he said this, his ears pinned to the back of his head and his wings drooping slightly, but still walked on at a steady pace... Somber continued to walk, she noticed a shadow on the ground that became rapidly bigger, she looked up and her eyes widened, "Oh shi-" but her sentence was cut short as Nidal hit her with a sickening impact... She didn't say who Nidal was to keep it a secret from the rest of the group, as she wanted. Nidal felt Somber break under her hooves moments before she felt herself shatter. Her greed crystal flew further than the mess that were Nidal and Somber. Her skeleton began to reform right there, simply the skeleton and not any muscle or skin or organs or anything else. I guess you're right Crystal... thanks" he smiled at the mare before continuing to walk onward. The group had finally come across a chapel that was in the center of the city, broken and worn just like the others before. Cloud opened the door, seeing the door as expected at the end of the room, "Lets do this" said Cloud... The healing process was slow, the amount of damage caused by Nidal was beyond belief. As Somber's vocal cords and facial muscles finally began to regenerate, she tried to say, "You bitch" to Nidal, but it sounded garbled and airy, and looked quite frightneing as well... I had meant that she never does anything without some gain on her end. Fighting Somber only gives us time, which means she still hopes we can do it. She followed Cloud to the chapel and began to walk down it. "So which element was here?" Nidal's skeleton finished reforming and her muscles commenced. Once the muscles were done, a small smirk could be seen on her face while her skin was made. Since she had waited for everything but her skin, her voice was fine. "That's what you get for messing with the lives of others to such a degree." She was in great pain as her body fixed itself, but she didn't mind it as long as she knew Somber was feeling it too. Her face and skin finished reforming and she tossed her head back as her tail and mane returned. "Will you try to run or stay and fight?" "We are looking for Kindness" replied Cloud, "Seems right up your alley Crystal". The group approached the door, the ghostly figure to appear was an adorable little yellow pegasus with a long pink mane and tail, "My name is Fluttershy, I was the bearer of the Element of Kindness" she said in a quiet, nervous sounding voice, "Please approach so that you may answer my questions... if thats ok with you that is..." Crystal nodded and walked up to the ghost. "Hello Fluttershy. I am called Crystal Seal, and it seems that I'm thought to be the new bearer of the Element of Kindness. You sound nervous; would you prefer for us to be talking alone? I can put up a shield that stops sound from escaping or coming in, if that's what you'd like." "Oh no it is very much alright" said Fluttershy as she made a small smile, "Such good manners, havent seen that in a while... Now you must answer three questions, One, what would you do for a pony in need of help? Two, if you saw a hungry pony, but you only had enough food for yourself, what would you do? He knew that he couldn't really do much in an arid environment like this, but two was still better than one. He hoped. He reached into his pack for a weapon. He found an old sword lying at the bottom of the packsack that he pulled out and gripped with his teeth. I have no idea how to use this. (Yeah I know, I wasn't attacking you guys for your post frequency, just commenting on what it looked like to me) Ampyrion waved his tail impatiently, waiting for one of the group members to come up and respond.
