Ampyrion wandered around the outskirts of camp, trying to calm his dizzy head, still nauseous from his dream. "What does it mean?" he wondered, gazing up at the bright moon. Hearing a faint yan somewhere behind him, he turned around to see EB is the distance, staggering out of camp. Least I' m not the only one who can't sleep. He gazed across the landscape silently. A flicker of movement from the east caught his eye, and he could swear that he heard a faint roaring sound. "It's...water. There must be a lake near here." Alone...the shadows whispered to him, the silence louder than a thousand freight trains. Ampyrion felt a slight twinge of fear as he realized what it was that he was doing-wandering around in the moonlight- but he forged on, each plodding step feeling like a thousand to his aching hooves. Aureity 3,055 February 20, 2012 Share February 20, 2012 As Ampyrion continued walking through the shadowy grasslands, the moon, the sole source of light above him, began dimming and dimming (to everyone else it still looks normal), until finally, pitch blackness surrounded him. He couldn't see at all. He was wandering blindly through the shadows and every so often they would whisper his name.... Then one of the shadows gave him a particularly violent poke and he blinked. Shadows didn't poke... He shook his head and turned to look beside him. "Oh, it's you. Wha-what do you want?" he asked. She stared up at the night sky, looking at the beautiful stars and moon. She started to flap her wings and she flew up into the air, all the way up to the clouds. She started kicking them with her hind legs, trying to clear the sky. She felt a pain in one of her hooves and stopped kicking. No blood, it just stung. A black paper appeared as all three Shadows grinned, their teeth jagged and pointed. "Just sign here." All three pointed at the paper, one touching it near the bottom. As Cloud finished signing the black paper with the black pen, the black of the paper drained out, revealing text on the paper. "But you should've read the fine print. You just agreed to me following your every step through magic and whatnot." His horn glowed and a small black compass rose, exactly like Shadow's cutie mark, appeared on Cloud's forehead. Cloud just realized he had been duped big time, he felt he had sucker printed on his forehead along with the compas rose. "Why do you care? Are you another of Discord's croonies?" he was wary of the pony, but didnt feel absolutely threatened by him either, he looked to have the mind of a child, seemed fitting since he was 'born' yesterday. Didn't you create that tidal wave or was that someone else?" "Yep. Discord didn't like the old Darkness, so he made a new one. Out came I... and several more of me. I'm not sure exactly how many, but enough." Another two appeared around Cloud. "I just wanted to meet who I was going to be annoying and fighting and whatnot." Lunar looked down into the city and saw the Element of Despair. She was beautiful in the moonlight. Lunar appeared next to her in a flash of light. "What's going on?" He asked, "Have you seen those idiots that think they can defeat Discord? I've been looking for them all day..." Lightning could not sleep after what had happened that day. She stared at the moon, it was beautiful. Lightning looked over at Crystal Seal, the Element of Kindness. A smile appeared on her face and she approached Crystal. Lightning lied down next to Crystal and started to drift off to sleep, and had an awful dream. Blood. Blood everywhere. Lightning was covered in it and so was everypony else. Everypony was smiling. Lightning searched for the source of all the blood, and saw the bodies. It was her mother, father, and... Crystal. But Lightning was still smiling. Lightning closed her eyes and opened them again. The bodies were gone. There was only one body there, and it was... Lightning. "Oh Ive seen them alright... And they slipped out of my grasp!" replied Somber, but she wasnt angry, looking at the dead body of the foal and the grieving mother who wept endlessly, giving her a sense of pleasure. A frown appeared on Lunar's face. Lightning drifted off into another nightmare... There was a pink pony. A beautiful pink pony with long, flowing hair. And she was eating cupcakes. And so was Lightning. As the pink pony ate a blue cupcake with a rainbow lightning bolt on it, Lightning ate a silver one with a cloud with half of it white and the other half dark with a lightning bolt. As the pink pony ate a purple cupcake with a purple and pink sparkle on it, Lightning ate a dark blue cupcake with a water drop on it. As the pink pony ate a brown cupcake with three apples on it, Lightning ate a dark purple cupcake with an eclipsed moon. As the pink pony ate a yellow cupcake with three butterflies on it, Lightning ate a teal one with a blue hexagon inside a white circle. As the pink pony ate a white cupcake with three gems on it, Lightning ate a lime-green cupcake with a controller on it. And the cupcakes were good. (Damn, this took me forever to type. (The controler is EB)Cloud rolled his eyes, "What a fantastic day" he muttered, he slowly drank the elixir and soon drifted into a dreamless sleep... Somber shrugged at Lunar, "No clue, dont really care though, its not like Discord'll let them win"... (Time skip!) the sun rose above the horizon, waking Cloud from his deep sleep, he got up and stretched, then felt something strange, he saw that his sling had come undone, and he looked at his wing, it didnt hurt!! Flapping it in excitement to test it, he saw that it had completely healed! He took off into the air, letting out a happy laugh as he climbed in altitude. He swooped and banked, spun and twirled, giving a complete aerial show for no particular reason besides that he was just happy to be flying again...
