Capt. Snuggle Gruff 101 July 16, 2013 Share July 16, 2013 This is simply fantastic. See now how well humanity works together when they're on the same page? But back to the topic, indeed, only Luna would understand Twi's pain. Therefore it would make sense for Celestia to send her in as someone for Twi to talk to, as she holds no hostility to Luna in conjunction. Funnily enough, not even Luna experienced such harsh treatment from Celestia during the Nightmare Moon years. When she was freed by the EoH, Celestia clearly showed that she missed Luna, and showed no anger for Luna's misdeeds as Nightmare Moon. Now, on a more serious note, Celestia, Shining Armor and the Mane 5 would be under a lot of scrutiny for their treatment of Twilight that night. Seeing as Twilight is Celestia's student, and also knowing that she saved Equestria thrice (counting the Changeling invasion) surely the populace of Canterlot (if not Ponyville as well) would've known about her. Celestia would probably be under the most scrutiny, seeing as she was Twilight's mentor, and yet she walked out on her. Shining Armor would be under enough scrutiny himself, as Twilight's brother and the Captain of the Guard. In fact, I can even see him getting heat from within the ranks of the Royal Guard as well. As for the Mane 5, they'd most likely be suffering the same amount of scrutiny as Shining Armor. Canterlot would've surely been familiar with them as Twilight's friends and the bearers of the Elements of Harmony, chosen specifically because they displayed the traits that the Elements represented, yet they were completely forgotten about the night Twilight's friends chose to ostracise her as well. All in all, it would be bad for all involved that night if this episode were to come true. Celestia's leadership as princess, SA's leadership as Captain of the Guard, and even the Mane 5's responsibilities for the EoH would all be thrown intohttp://www.btvguide.com/Castle/episodes question as they were all technically responsible for the security of Canterlot against what could be called a terrorist threat. The Canterlot public would be calling for Twilight to take over as Equestria's new leader and that would place even more pressure on her as well. Can you see how bad it would be for everybody if Twi started experiencing repercussions from the rehearsal? It would be awful, almost tragic. Dear Celestia! We have uncovered a possobility that could doom all of Equestria as we know it! Im hopig that Twi doesn't have these problemss and that no one finds out about the Mane 5 and Celestia's disbelief in Twilight, but it would make a good story, as i said earlier this would make a great fanfic. "Fall of Equestria!" But most likely it would have a better name than that, fall has probably been used a million times. But in the end it would seem maybe that if Twilight was put as the Princess of Canterlot that she would need help to rule, thats where Luna would help her. Twilight would most likely find new rulers to replace Cadence, she would also have to find someone to rule over Ponyville considerig that she is no longer there, or she would just leave it alone. Luna would be caught in the middle of everything because she would be helping Twi rule but also feels that Celestia should contnue to be the high princess over Canterlot. As a result Luna would not know what do to, either to help Twilight rule or try and fix everything and get Celestia back as as head ruler over Equestria. Luna Is My Favorite Power Ranger! And aside from all this the burden of feeling abandoned and being a princess on Twilight's shoulders would only conflict Luna more with her duties. Canterlot and Ponyville would probably be in uproar from both outrage and paranoia of another attack, the royal guards would be run into the ground trying to keep order among the public, while secretly harbouring hatred for their Captain after he disowned Twilight, the Mane 5 would probably be trying to deal with fighting their guilt, as well as living their lives normally amidst the shitstorm of abuse from the public (that would be the first time I've ever cussed on this forum) and Shining Armor? Well, lets just say life after the wedding would come crashing down around him. He'd be facing his own shitstorm (second time cussing) for ostracising his sister as well as trying to keep order in Canterlot and Ponyville respectively. Is this a big deal? Eeyup, it really is a big deal, bigger than many of us thought. Edited July 16, 2013 by Firebolt Blitz "Ideals are peaceful.........history is violent" Sgt. Those who care not for the fate of Equestria shall live on and care not. Those who love their lives and the places that they reside in will fall quickly as riots in the streets continue to grow. Princess Twilight Sparkle will have no more power and she will watch as her kingdom falls to pieces with her people crumbling apart into specks of dust at her feet. She will feel remorse even though she hated her friends and mentor so much she still feels remorse and partly guilty. As she looks one more time out her grand tower she can hear the crowds roar up behind her, coming to take her away. As she closes her eyes she wished that she could only take back what she had done. And thus, Twilight Sparkle closes her eyes for the final time, and Equestria lays in destruction, with no hopes of every being resurrected. Luna Is My Favorite Power Ranger! Whoa whoa whoa, where are you getting this from? It wouldn't end like that. One way or another, Twilight would recover from this. I'm not proposing that Equestria crumbles to ashes because Twilight got betrayed, Jesus, this went grimdark fast. "Ideals are peaceful.........history is violent" Sgt. duidamasterXD 9,627 July 16, 2013 Share July 16, 2013 You do lay out a good enough point, but it seems necessary to remind you just how badly Twi was hurt:170732%20-%20about_to_cry%20animated%20s(This is a gif for good measure ) Look at her face, that is the face of a soul shattered by the pain of abandonment, horror, and remorse. Personally, I couldn't help but feel after that little fiasco, Twilight forgave them too easily. Ok yeah, it's been a whole season since then, but like I said before, post traumatic stress disorder is unpredictable. For all we know, there could be scars still on Twi's heart. Everypony she loved and looked up to had turned their backs on her that night, and even though it was for perfectly logical reason, it must've hurt Twilight something fierce. Obviously, if an episode were made about it, she'd overcome it well enough. But seriously, that face says it all.....she was really badly hurt that night I know that Twilight was feeling like garbage. I guess that I'm just confused as to why you're bringing up this specific incidence, where in at least two other situations (Pinkie Pie in Party of One and Rainbow Dash in The Mysterious Mare Do Well) there have also been characters who felt alone, abandoned, not special, miserable, etc, and you could make a case for Pinkie to have been even more traumatized than Twilight was. They seemed to have recovered just fine, as does Twilight. Still, lingering trauma helped create my favorite episode in the entire series, Hurricane Fluttershy, so who knows. Maybe it could work. They seemed to have recovered just fine, as does Twilight. Still, lingering trauma helped create my favorite episode in the entire series, Hurricane Fluttershy, so who knows. Maybe it could work. There's no need to be so confused. In this case, I wasn't comparing Twilight's case of heartbreak to Pinkie's or Rainbow's. I was suggesting the possibility of Twilight experiencing a stress disorder in Season 4, something that could be expanded on. I knew, and I still know, that this idea comes a season late, but hey, nopony can really tell when PTSD will strike an individual down, hence why I came up with the theory. Twilight was hurt pretty badly by this, yet she could forgive them so easily. It goes to show that while she has a particularly strong integrity, I still feel that there are scars where nopony, not even she, can see them. Scars that were torn into her soul when SA, Celestia and the Mane 5 turned their backs on her. It's something that could be explored upon, and meanwhile it would also make good material for a curtain-opener to the new season. The Changelings re-invade. Chrysalis preys upon Twilight's stress to turn her against Equestria, and together, after wiping out Canterlot, they turn their attention to Ponyville, while Celestia, Shining Armor and the Mane 5 band together to get Twilight back on their side. It could have everything: More Luna, more Changelings, Twilight turning to her dark side, the whole lot! Add onto that the guilt that the Mane 5 feel, especially Shining and Celestia, for abandoning Twilight in her time of need and you could have one of the best openings to an MLP season, ever. Besides, as I said before, not even Luna experienced the kind of treatment Twilight got. When she was freed from Nightmare Moon, Celestia welcomed her back with open hooves and was still proud to acknowledge her as her sister. Twilight got no such mercy from Shining or anypony, which is why I'm focusing on her for now. When there comes a time for it, I will focus on either Pinkie or Rainbow. In that case, however, only time will tell before that happens. Edited July 16, 2013 by Firebolt Blitz "Ideals are peaceful.........history is violent" Sgt. Justin ZW 396 July 16, 2013 Share July 16, 2013 It wouldn't make sense for that to suddenly happen now. Twilight seems to love her friends just the same, so having her suddenly hate them wouldn't really flow with the show. I'm more interested in seeing how Twilicorn plays out. Twilight seems to love her friends just the same, so having her suddenly hate them wouldn't really flow with the show. I'm more interested in seeing how Twilicorn plays out. Well, that's the beauty and the dark side of suffering from a stress disorder. The beauty is that it adds an element of surprise to the scenario. Nopony, not even Twilight, would see this coming. A Changeling attack in Season 4 would surely give Twilight memories of the rehearsal, and thus throw her into a fit of distrusting and tongue lashing her friends, as well as Shining Armor and Celestia. The dark side, I already mentioned. Because Twilight would be suffering from PTSD, she'd become very distrustful of everypony, especially those who turned their backs on her. It would probably lead to a chain reaction, Twi isolating herself, guilt brewing amongst the ponies who gave Twi the cold shoulder. Hell, Chrysalis would even take the chance to manipulate Twilight against them. It pretty much goes without saying: Celestia, SA and the Mane 5 just made the biggest mistake of their lives. Nature's Spell 526 July 17, 2013 Share July 17, 2013 Anything like this is way too edgy for the show, so I don't expect to see it, but all things being equal I'm sure the feeling that she could so easily be pushed aside would bother her on some level. While I'm willing to admit this would be too much for the show, you have to think about this in a certain context. It was quite bad, what Twi went through, so deep down the scars must still be there. Maybe if it were controlled to a certain point, then it could be pulled off, ham-fisted or not. After all, if it were reused as a Season 4 curtain opener, it would bring in an ideal opportunity to give the Changelings and Luna more screentime and voice. Apparently it's what I've been hearing on this forum a lot, there wasn't enough Luna before, and there certainly isn't now! Frankly, I agree, which is why the idea could be tied in to this theory. Luna could attempt to console Twilight, while the Changelings mounted another attack to seek revenge. "Ideals are peaceful.........history is violent" Sgt.
