I am Andrew Ryan. And I'm here to ask you a question. Is a pony not entitled to the sweat of his brow? "No," Says the pony in Ponyville. "It belongs to the poor." "No," Says the pony in Canterlot, "It belongs to Celestia." "No." Says the pony in the fields, "It belongs to everyone." I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose... Rapture. A city where the artist would not be censored. Where the scientist would not be bound by any morality. Where the great would not be constrained by the small. And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well.

 

Welcome to the Bioshock Roleplay of MLPForums. This is where people, whether you're a fan of the game or not, or whether you haven't even played it, you can experience the city of Rapture yourself with others... As a pony. That's right, this is a ponified version of Bioshock. I've never played the game (Besides Bioshock Infinite), but I know that it is a great game. I've read up a lot about this game to make it as accurate and enjoyable as possible. I'll include the rules and applications first, the rest is up to you to read.

 

Rules

• Please, please be active. If you're going to be away for more than a week, post it here and your character can just be frozen until you're back. Try to be on at least once a day and post. Make actual posts, no fillers.
• Make realistic OCs. No alicorns, or ponies with unusual patterns, or colours that hurt to look at. Not everypony is perfect, so don't expect me to believe that your pony was abandon as a foal, and grew up on the streets with nopony to care for them, but loved everypony anyways and tried their best to help them and grew up to be Princess Luna's husband. Please, just don't.
• You can play as any characters in the show, just don't make them go OOC (Out Of Character). For example, Rainbow Dash offers Rarity to help by testing all of her new perfumes to see which one is best. That's OOC.
• You don't have to be a pony. You can be a griffin, zebra, a dragon (None of those big ones, just teenage or baby ones like Spike), Minotaurs, or heck, be a cow if you want to. Anything that can talk in the show is available to roleplay here. Again, be realistic with them.
• Once you post your application, wait for me to add you to the list. If something is wrong with your application, read over the rules and fix your character or application.
• Don't take anything personal in the roleplay. If one of your characters gets into a fight, you shouldn't hate the person who is roleplaying the other character for that.
• You can be a Little Sister, or a Big Daddy, or a Big Sister, or even a Splicer. However, seen the Additional Information if you want to.
• Do not go overboard with the Plasmids. You can't start out with Plasmids, you have to buy them.

A link to your character's profile shall do. Please try to include a picture if you can. Little Sisters, Big Daddies, Big Sisters, and Splicers must have their own, separate character sheet created, you can not use one you have already made.

Roleplaying as a Little Sister, Big Daddy, Big Sister, or Splicer

 

 

Little Sisters are fillies who have been modified to have their objective as to finding ADAM. ADAM is a substance located around Rapture, which they collect and give to scientists for them to turn into EVE, for the use of Plasmids. Little Sisters have a duller shade of their coat, as well as glowing yellow eyes. They're peaceful, and mostly cheerful where they go. They carry around needles to collect ADAM with (They collect ADAM where they can - animals, dead bodies, etc.). They are protected by Big Daddies. Big Daddies are modified Stallions who have a diving suit as a part of them. The portholes in their helmet are green when they are friendly, yellow when neutral, and red when aggressive. Their front right leg is a drill, which they use to attack any threats to the Little Sister they protect. Big Sisters are Little Sisters who have become unstable in Rapture, when they have gone through childhood and into teenhood. They wear diving suits like Big Daddies, however the looks differ. They too carry needles, however use them for both collecting ADAM and combat. They attempt to abduct Little Sisters and normal fillies to modify them into a new generation of Little Sisters. The portholes in their helmet are green when friendly, yellow when neutral, and red when aggressive. Big Sisters are mostly aggressive, however. Splicers were once pony, however because of the much ADAM consumption, their bodies have become deformed and their minds and bodies crave more ADAM. They attack ponies on sight and wander around the more abandon parts of Rapture.

 

You can roleplay as any of these, however you must stay true to your part. A Splicer would only go into a more civilised part of Rapture if they're desperate, and Big Daddies do not talk. They make deep noises to communicate. And Little Sisters see differently. Where there would be a puddle of blood, they would see a patch of roses. They see Big Daddies as a knight in armour, and Big Sisters as friendly, happy big sisters. Splicers are normal people to them. Sometimes they will "glitch" and see some of the real Rapture than what they are seeing.
