The Trotting Dead RP

Carrick scans in his notepad for a second. Starburst had ran out to find his father. Carrick had gotten himself on top of the train. Seeing the battle fall between his eyes. He chuckle as more ponies had fallen in the victim to this once lovely town. Carrick stares at the pages that were on top. Carrick narrated his page:

 

 

When there even some type of resembles of friendship or ponies caring about others. They lose their sense of security and then....the undead attacks or even worst...

 

Carrick chuckle at his words. His premonition were correct. They lost their sense of security. Their sense of nervousness, so they would of seen that what had happen. Two ponies killed by his hooves, with two others killed by a super-trotters. It was only a matter of time. Till his clock will reach zero. Till then he stares at there. All the trotters dead from Ghost's anger. The only thing he needs to do is take Ghosty and Starburst to Canterlot. Then, his job is done. He can start researching what actually happen to this world. How did that super-trotter exist?...

 

He took a sip of water from his canteen as he continue to wait for them.

Fire Horn had to brace himself, try and hold on for a little longer to say what he was going to say.

"Take Starburst to Canterlot, find his mother, and...." Fire Horn groaned in pain. "...watch over him, that's what you do best isn't it, the Ghost." Fire Horn's breathing got faster. "Keep him... safe." Just like that, the life faded from his eyes and his body went limp.

"Daddy, wake up, please!" Starburst shouted, crying and hugging him.

Ghost lowered his head and had an angry look in his eyes. Nearly everyone in the group has been killed off. He wasn't going to let anyone else die. He just contained the cause of the outbreak, so he was that much closer to surviving. Ghost then walked by Starburst. He put his hoof on his back. "You're father wants me to get you to Canterlot safely. That's exactly what I'm going to do. Know why? Because I'm The Ghost, and The Ghost will give anything to protect the ponies of the world... no matter what the cost." Ghost walked to the front of the train. "Let's get to Canterlot, Carrick. We're nearly done."

Starburst was still crying but he looked up at the lifeless form of his father and knew what they had to do.

"We have to do it don't we, or he'll come back as one of them?" Starburst asked. "I don't want that to happen to him. Please don't let that happen to him." Starburst turned to Ghost.

Carrick got himself off the train and back inside. Hearing that both Ghost and Starburst had come back. To see your father died in your eyes....must be scarring situation for the kid. Carrick nods as he walks to the controls. "Canterlot it-" Carrick intervened. "Let me do it. I'll be the bad guy." Carrick replied. There was no need for his friend to kill him....just letting somepony just take care of it.

Carrick got himself off the train and back inside. Hearing that both Ghost and Starburst had come back. To see your father died in your eyes....must be scarring situation for the kid. Carrick nods as he walks to the controls. "Canterlot it-" Carrick intervened. "Let me do it. I'll be the bad guy." Carrick replied. There was no need for his friend to kill him....just letting somepony just take care of it. 

Ghost sighed and walked to Carrick. "Look, man, you're not just somepony. You're actually my friend. I mean, yeah. You can be a bit of a pain and a smart-ass at times. But you're still a member of the group. We kept you with us because we didn't want you to die. I hope you realize that." Ghost said.

 

Starburst was still crying but he looked up at the lifeless form of his father and knew what they had to do.

"We have to do it don't we, or he'll come back as one of them?" Starburst asked. "I don't want that to happen to him. Please don't let that happen to him." Starburst turned to Ghost.

Ghost knelt down to Starburst. "We have to do it. I'm sorry he died, kid. And at your age, too..."

"Trust me, Ghost. I am just somepony. Even if you think of me as that, I fear I won't be able to reciprocate those feelings." Carrick walk over to the dead Grand with the metal pole that was used to finish off Grand and Thunder.  He then took the long few steps down to Fire Horn. 

 

"Ever since I have taken myself in the apocalypse. I have seen many things in my life. Life, Death, Murder, Deceit. These things have been magnify to infinite ends this year. However...."

 

"I see this group. Full of hope, joy, family, trust, relationship. It funny how I've seen this before..." Carrick looked down, "and be torn away just as this one did."

 

"Maybe, the doomsday clock will never reach zero. That the world will never be just full of trotters. That what I've seen today will be back."

 

"I wish you could've stayed longer to see your son grow. Maybe see him actually rule the kingdom." Carrick chuckle. 

 

"Let Providence guide you in the afterlife." WHAM! It sounded much louder, much harder to break into the skull, but he did it. Fire Horn will never become one of them and this detective did it. Carrick tipped his hat up and said to Ghost, "Let's go to Canterlot. We have nothing here anymore." Carrick took the long walk back to the train. 

 

This kill...this was harder.

Immediately after Carrick had done what he had done. Starburst sunk his head into Ghost's leg and cried, cried for hours, his father was gone, and nothing could ever fix that. It would be a scar on his life that would tear him apart from the inside, he would never escape from the pain.

Ghost walked by Carrick and hugged Starburst, hoping he could comfort him. But with his dad dead, that would be quite impossible. . "Carrick, I don't know if you've been paying attention, but we have similar backgrounds. We both lost everything to this damn outbreak. Ever since it came, I've only been doing one thing, protecting. I envision a world where everything is back to the way it used to be, with ponies living in peace in harmony. That may seem like just a thought to you, but I'll believe in that thought until the day I die. And with Celestia as my witness, I believe that we can see that through."

"Maybe..." Carrick said softly, "but...we won't find out until we find out what happen out there. What actually happen from outbreak. How did that supertrotter get loose? Was it made artificial? Was it a curse relic? Did somepony release it? That's what I want to find out."

 

"I've already accept my own death for whatever happens in this world, but until I continue to breath...I want to find out what happen. Maybe...from there, we can find a way to bring your utopia." Carrick walked into the Engine room. "Let's go."

"I agree, we know what caused the outbreak, but then what? Starburst asked. "I want the world to be alright again, just like it was before, i want to live in Ponyville with my mum until the end of time, but it's very unlikely that that's going to happen." Starburst decided he would fly up ontop of the train, it would be a place to think.

 

Today is the start of my new journey in life, i'm going to find a way to stop this outbreak, stop anyone else from turning. The trotters are beyond help so they'll have to die, all of them. Father, if only you could hear me, if only you'd stayed,  i'll never forget you, i can only hope that you've moved onto someplace better than this. That you're with Grand and Thunder, and the others who've died. I just wish i could speak to you, i never got to say goodbye. So, if you can hear me, Dad, goodbye, may we meet again someday.

Carrick trotted along as he turned on the train. It was time to leave the dreaded place of Ponyville. Four ponies have been murdered here. This really was a suicide mission. Carrick move the train forward. If they waited to get that kid's magic back, maybe all of them would be alive. Carrick chuckle as he tipped his hat, Providence isn't one to really care. If it wasn't Ponyville. It would be somewhere else.

 

There time had come. 

 

Carrick took his vision to the skies, seeing the stars beaming brightly today. Luna be damned, it been awhile since I bother to see the night skies. What a beautiful canvas. Carrick sat on a chair. Staring right at it. It'll be morning till we reached Canterlot. For good or bad things I've done. Tomorrow will bring hope...

 

Maybe not for them...but I know...that when I find out...

 

I can die a happy stallion...

Ghost flied up to the top of the train with Starburst. He put his arm over Starburst's chest. "We'll stop this outbreak... somehow... someday. Until then, we'll keep fighting until everything is back to the way it used to be. I promise you that, Starburst."

 

My adventure is nearly complete. We'll find Starburst's mother in Canterlot, and then I'll just go back to what I do best; protecting the world from anything that may harm it. Starburst will be happy with his mother and Carrick will go back to his normal, everyday detective work. This group will always leave a permanent mark on me, though. They were some of the best ponies who've ever lived and died. I pray to Celestia that they will always be with me in my heart and watch over me while I fight for the world through this outbreak. In a way, I am at peace once more...

Ok, that was fantastic, i'll start writing, maybe a new OOC thread. This is actually the first RP i've ever actually finished. And in less time too. We actually need to finalize a few details for the reboot, so if we just hop on over to the OOC, we can talk about it there.

Ghost, Carrick and Starburst are headed to Canterlot on a train, where they will find Missy. Several years will pass until Starburst reaches the age of 16 and a new adventure will start to find the origins of the trotter outbreak, sound good?

We're going to continue from the point where Grand saw her sister at (zecora?)'s place, we're going to do this a lot better, there's gonna be a time-skip and a bunch of other stuff, like a legend, an adventure, mythical stuff like that, so if that sounds good, join in.

Grand was in awe at the potions and incantations lining the wall of the stairs. she turned the corner to Zecoras basement to see a row of cages, each containing a trotter. All shapes and sizes of trotters. Grand had a sick feeeling in her stomach as she walked further into the room. Zecora was talking about her potions and how she uses but suddenly everything stopped. Grands eyes grew wide as the room swirled around her. In a cage, nowhere special, was a little filly with orange hair, a yellow body, and a cutie marks with three popcorn kernels. Rage filled Grands eyes as she tackled Zecora to the ground. " YOU BASTARD! YOU HID HER, YOU GAVE ME FALSE HOPE" She screamed, tears rushing down her face. It was clear she was becominbg unhinged. Grand was seeing red. "HOW DARE YOU" she said before bringing a hoof across zecoras face. Grand had become so delirious she had lost control of herself. Zecora was incredibly confused, and fought with Gradn to get her hooves away from her face

Fire Horn gasped at the collection of potions and various other non-pony magics, along with the trotters locked up in cages, Grand's sister was among them, suddenly, it let out a bloodcurdling screech, this must be one of the super-trotters, just as that happened, trotters within a half-mile range heard it and was on their way to the hut.

Ghost got Grand away from Zecora and tried to break up the fight. "Grand, calm down! Who is that filly in the cage? You seem to have some sort of connection with-" At that moment, memories ran through his mind. Grand said that they were trying to find her sister. It looks like they did, but not the way they wanted to find her. "Oh..."

Fire Horn heard the horde of trotters stomping their way towards the four of them. He ran up to the surface and looked out a window.

"Guys!" Fire Horn shouted. "We have a problem!" He started looking through the potions and stuff and couldn't find the potion they were looking for. "We're gonna have to get out of here, or we're in some serious trouble."

Grand was on the verge of snapping. "What does it matter? There's thousands if dead ponies, why should we be any different" she said, seething with anger. "This whole thing us just a stupid scapegoat delaying our inevitable death" she said, eyes red. "There's no point anymore" she whispered, barely loud enough for her to hear.

"BECAUSE, GRAND!" Fire Horn shouted, he facehoofed. "Because we're still alive, we have to live for the ones we've lost, take your sister for example, do you really think she'd want her sister to die like this?" Fire Horn stared into her eyes. "Now, i'd recommend we get out of here, or we'll be joining the undead instead of being dead."

"I'm on it, Fire." Ghost grabbed all of the ponies and a red aura formed around him. A sandstorm formed around his hooves, tearing the weak shack into pieces. He then turned himself and the other ponies into a dust could and rocketed back to the train.

Grand reisted but ultimately lost. " I never agreed to go with you" she said angrily, glaring at the stallions. Her mane was a mess and her face was wet with tears. Her eyes grew cold, and It was obvious that she hadchanged for the worse. Her words were cold and harsh. "And you have no right to mention my sister" She said, voice sharp
