  1. Steam nods, sighing softly. Still, a job is a job. Steam follows Allegory in the box car. As she talks about the job, something along the lines of evidence. More along the lines of subtlety and spying on a guard. Or just going with the sure fire method of "forcing" the evidence out of them. "So, spy on the guard?" she rephrases. Allegory seem like she was dealing, least that's what Steam is assuming. flexing her neck for a tad before she talked about the Dweller, "Huh, the Dweller? That's a fun story." she rolled her eyes. She sounded a little artificial for her sake.
  2. Didn't really consider the idea of just bailing with a small bag of caps. Somepony is willing to put this amount of caps for a up front cost certainly were asking for a high price. Hearing the name White Sting certainly affirm her suspicions. Though that name doesn't compared to the infamous Red Eye, it wouldn't take too long to exceed the name with the climate of the wasteland around here. Anything along the lines of raiders and having a little fun with them is certainly she's in business in. A smirk went and lower as she look calm before Allegory. Steam follow the mare, "Steam." she replied plainly. Part of her wonder why was someone like a clerk or even owner asking about this. A slight cautious was in the air. Trotting over her, tongue pushing along her cheek.
  3. A chuckle coming for her lips. She wasn't expecting to get a request after ammo refill. Still, she wasn't one to look at a job negatively. Looking over the bag of caps, she nods "Alright," she might as well least consider it. No harm there (I'd at work, so short post atm)
  4. Shrugs at her response, if she doesn't want help. That's on her. With a glance as she finish the transaction to the clerk to get all her ammunition. "Have fun, cowpony." Steam chuckle at her nickname of the red 'brave' mare, walking past her. Somepony is failing to comprehend the severity of the situation. She suppose that they'll find out eventually that this place isn't all cupcakes and sunshine.
  5. @@Ethan Sawyer,@@Ethan Sawyer, Her brow raised as the clerk suggested that the red mare should join up with her, "Idea or otherwise, unless she has extra caps or some type of impressive magic skills." she huffs, considering the idea a little more in her head. "I mean, if she has some type of good support or medical skills. I wouldn't be against the idea of her tagging along." she shrugged, less of a liability, the better. The bigger problem is that she sticks out like a sore hoof. Something certainly need to be done to fix that.
  6. @,@@Ethan Sawyer, Steam places her hoof on her chin again and starts to ponder once more, "I'll be using the incendiary more when the situation is needed. Trying to keep my bases cover if certain armor or creatures are weak to it." she explains. The box in caps still on the counter. Though she was thankful that she care for the customer. Sometimes the customer is willing to carry more than is optimal. Her head turned over to the red mare as she walked away with only a gun. A small shake of her head as she was about to leave "If you're going to get out of the junction, you better find a partner or group with ya. You look as green as my flank here." she quipped.
  7. @,@@Ethan Sawyer, With a large huff, she took a long look at her saddle bags, before finally unclipping the right one and placing it on the counter, the look on her face, seemingly surprised about her purchase. Glancing down and placing her hoof on her chin, 980 caps is a little... to steep. Now that she hears it all together, she sighs and shakes her head. "Ya know what, just give the incendiaries and take the caps ya need for here. Also a pack of 12 Gauge, regular" waving her hoof, she would be doing the same she was trying to finish up.
  8. @@Ethan Sawyer, Turns her head as she wanted an explanation on the different holsters type, "Well, a normal holster is like this." she pull off the side of her cloak, revealing her .22 and part of a her green fur,, the color with a slight tint of brown from all the dirt she has to deal with. "They are pretty basic, have a simple shape and they generally wide, they're more for other weapons as well, depending on the size of the holster. Concealed holster, are more like molded. They have specific shape to them that is exact to the weapon. Concealed holster can be place in a variety of places on clothes and most, if not all would be unable to see them. You can do that with regular holster, but that if you have fashionable cloak like yours truly." she quipped. Pulling her cloak back to herself
  9. @, @@Ethan Sawyer, Admittedly, Steam tried to be someone to be frugal. Not one to spend on her caps of basically anything, but... This certainly wasn't anything you see much in the wasteland. This was something that would be define as a motherlode. That amount of ammunition, she can't figure how long it would take her to actually lose all of those bullets. Weeks, Months, maybe even a year? She salivate a little, before shallowing. .50 are hard enough to find, but all of this... Her mind contemplated spending all those caps. Ah, screw it! Steam took a defeated sigh as she went into her saddle bags one more time. Placing boxes of caps on the counter along with weapons placed on the counter. "Screw it, I'll take it all." damn, she was probably going to regret this later on, but she knew that it was better to prep up. Bounties with high caps aren't exactly going to be used with .22s. "Also, get the concealer holster. Better be prepared."
  10. @@Ethan Sawyer, Lips pursed up as she went for the .44 ammo, she didn't exactly agree with it, but it's her caps. Not her own, she did exhale long as she didn't get a holster. Closing her eyes as she shook her head, holster are pretty important or at least something to hold onto revolver. Something is getting a little too greedy for their own good. "Also, get a holster for her. I'll pay for it." she points her hoof at Scarlett. Wasn't like it was much caps anyway.
  11. @@Defender of Tomorrow,@, @@Ethan Sawyer Immediately hearing the strong accent from the stallion, she glance over at him, brows rose up as Steam looked at him curiously. Not your prototypical group of folks here. Her eyes rolls at his recommendation however, doesn't look like they know each other. This mare looks like a pony who would lose her eye out with the recoil itself, magic or otherwise. Fortunate that the clerk wasn't going to just give her that weapon. Smart one, you want to keep your customers alive. Her eyes went over to the red mare, as as the clerk talked about on capacitor with Storm. Her lips open up, "You might want to get yourself a holster, unless you like having a revolver in your mouth." Her voice a little dry, an obvious need of some water. Her head turns around as she was being called by the clerk. Approaching the counter as she unclip the saddle bags. She went into them and place a pipe rifle on the counter all rusted up and used, pulling out and placing another one with the same condition. From both bags she took out two pipe pistols. Steam went deep into her bag as she place a saw off shotgun. Placing a large leather piece, used to protect the chest, having a burnt right down the middle, but no bullet wounds, thankfully. Then came the ammo. The green earth pony tried not to make a mess on the counter, placing the boxes of .38s next to the pipe weapons. As she counted the weapons herself, she look back at the clerk. Clearing her throat, "I'm looking for..." she place a hoof along her chin, contemplating her thoughts. "20 .50 Cal bullets" her hoof move beneath her cloak, unholster her hidden .22 pistol, ejecting the magazine, to check her count. "25 .22 bullets and... a silencer attachment or parts for one for a rifle. Oh, and about 50 caps extra that is," she holster back her .22 as she looked back at Allegory, "you willing to trade with me."
  12. Every time I make a long post, like to listening to some music to get some creative juices flowing. Today's theme is Aquatic Ambience.

  13. Storage, storage is a necessary evil. If you have enough strength, you could savage a massive hull after a raid. Too small and you’re letting scavengers have weapons and armor scott free. Not mention strength, Steam wasn’t one who could carry a fatman or minigun without some appropriate strength training or full suit armor. Still, here she was with a motherlode of items in her saddlebags Steam wasn’t one to decide on killing on a whim, but desperate times come with desperate measures. Only with a half a day supplies left, not exactly knowing where she was going and finding a couple of raiders down around a broken down house, it was a perfect disaster waiting to happen. It was only a matter of waiting until night before she took them out. It wasn’t exactly an easy process, return fire, potential bullet wound, but only scraped the fur. It was only a matter of pure luck that she gotten out of there, unscathed. Now, here she was in R7 Junction with a guns, armor, and supplies. Sure, she could of use them, maybe modified them like her trusty rifle. However, she wasn’t one to bother with plethora of guns. Better to barter with someone and get some caps out of it, then carried around and losing or stealing them. With her cloak wavering around with the faint wind, the sound of metal clinging around her saddle bags. She trots along through the junction. She wasn’t exactly a normal mare, she was pretty tall. They might thought of her as some stallion as most of her appearance is hidden beneath the cloak, however her muzzle and face had soften feature and has a nice peach fur along it. Maybe in some other life she would have been some supermodel or at least someone who can help ponies who need get something from the top shelf. Her long legs push along the rough texture, her mind intertwined on ignoring the stares and going right towards a weapon shop. @@Ethan Sawyer, @, @@Defender of Tomorrow, "And welcome to Stream's Hit-n-Run, young miss! What are you here for: weapons, armor, supplies, or getting your things repaired?" the green earth pony heard as she entered the shop. Glancing over to see two ponies talking business. While another was standing behind the red mare. The red mare certainly didn’t look like she was from around here. She certainly gave off the vibe of royalty with how well her fur and clothes were not ridden with the stretch of the wastelands. Steam didn’t bother with more deduction as her eyes wavered over to the counter. Looking over at the possible ammo. .50 caliber bullets, probably the most effective gun that doesn’t involve it pewing or ka-booming. Her trusty hunting rifle, strap on her back, modified to have that powerful bullet. A curse, with how much bloody caps it cost to have a .50 cal. Still, with how well the bullet pierces armor, it certainly worth the caps. She trots over and stands behind the red mare, like a good customer should do. She already had a plan. 2 pipe pistol, 9mm pistol, a knife, 20 .38 round, 10 9 mm. Not to mention parts of leather armor. Least enough to salvage a full armor. Should be enough for a couple of bullet and some extra caps if needed. Least enough where she find a job with enough caps not to go into her cap bag. Steam waits along, as she faintly hears the conversation they're having about guns. Whoever this red mare is, it was getting a little cringe worthy to hear her not know what type of pistol are out there. Her face gave look of disdain, but she kept it to herself.
  14. @, @@Defender of Tomorrow, @@Windbreaker, Did not take any chance and just galloped right out of the shack, pushed right through feeling the warmth just pull out as the shack started to turn ablaze, galloping right out with others where distance would become improbable for anypony to see from the shack. It didn't take long for the goons to arrive... Steam could not help, but respond with a whistle at the sight of twenty ponies near the burning shack. She must've pissed him off real good. Though, this was not a time to admire her craftsmanship of burning down a house and pissing off ponies, it was time to leave. Others already eager to move forward to the cart. She glance over at Kayle who had looked right at her, though she did not push anything from it. Being proactive will do, "I'll be holding the six down here." she takes out the rifle from out of her back. They'll be spreading out soon and it might be best to take out any of them coming from here. Maybe having to use a mine or two, but for now. Steam was to wait, her mind trying to contemplate plans now.
  15. I remember this song was stuck in my head. Back in the days where Youtube wasn't at all what it used to be. It took me forever to find the song from it's lyrics and to wait for the radio to play it one more time. Technologies now, it'd take less than a second. Feels good.
  16. @@Defender of Tomorrow, @, @@Windbreaker, Steam had to admit, she wasn't excepting everypony to stick to their guns. As much as Kayle they weren't part of a group. They seem to be okay with working together. Maybe it was the sense of danger or it could be some bond they have created. She wouldn't could not guess, more getting a nine volt battery and connected the wires to each other. She wrapped around each of the wires from the pivot light and got a spark from it. Now for something flammable, she felt a bottle, seem like a some like sugar as she pulled it out. "Sodium Aluminosilicate" she muttered to herself, something that's in non-diary creamer. This should burn. She pours some of it on the ground, next to wall so that it could start burning the shack with it. The group seemingly talking about supply and the group leader. Not her problem at this moment, she'll deal with it when the time comes. "Time to head out, I'm burning it now!" she said to the group. The wire not touching the positive as she moved it close to the creamer. Steam tapped on the wire and a small spark came forth, the creamer immediately igniting into flames. Steam pulled back, throwing the make-shift lighter into her saddle bags, her rifle still strapped and rushing the hell out of there. This should be a good distraction.
  17. @, @@Windbreaker, @@Defender of Tomorrow, Ah, the north. Though Equestria is a equal-opportunist heap of junk. There are times where certain cities (including the one she wants to venture forward) where she didn't have much adversary there. Cult, robots, Factions who control the city, maybe mindless drones of the tomorrow. She didn't care for much as they seem to be not care about her either. It worked both ways. A small house with some caps hidden away (some that werent' invest in weapons or items to be sold later). Best play to return back to. Hopefully it hasn't changed since the.... three years she's been away on business. "Trotonto. It's a bit of a cold place, but it's worth it for the peace-" she stopped. As Steady appeared, the other worried over something she didn't know about. Something about a missing pony, sucks, but nothing new under the clouds here. You don't have any survival skills, you better have caps to pay for someone to give or protect them. Though dealing with raiders up front, she'd admit to be in a small trouble. Though, that's what mines and grenades are for me. As for his second piece of news. "Oh, I already knew about the group." she said flatly, "You ponies decide to squat on somepony's shack and they'll be pissed." She seemed to be done with her ravaging. Time was of the essence here and looking for me would be useless. A distraction would help. The shack was there destination and triggering some The only possible conclusion was either waste her mines and grenade for a good-bye present or just burn the place down. "I'm going up north to Trotonto. You ponies can come if you want. There might be something there for ya if you have no conceivable idea of what you're doing. It's bit of a big town. We might be going off to another town down north for supplies. It's a bit of a trek. So you can come and go as you please, but I'm going to be burning this shack down and bailing. What you ponies do after is on you." She went into her saddle bag and took out the pivot light, now her skill can come forth.
  18. Honestly, it really should go on your play style. Do you like playing solely on the single-player? Or do you like playing with friends? That's basically on how it goes. If you want a single-player experience, go for the PC. 60 FPS and 1080p(w/mods later) will be a much better experience in the long run. However, if you want to get for multi-player as well. Go for PS3. If you can, try to get both. Depending on what experience you're willing to obtain
  19. @@Windbreaker, @@Defender of Tomorrow, Could feel some uneasiness from him. His body language gave a weary of her presence. Nothing she could blame, the wastelands wasn't a place where you could find a friend all too easily. Even now, she does not trust them either. She just is trying to decide on her next plan of action. Noticing the devouring of the food she left on the table for any of them. He apologize and gave off a tint of red, embarrassed by his actions. "You're new to the wasteland, aren't you?" he did seem more squirmish than others and his clothes seem a lot more cleaner as well. Most ponies know not to move out of settled lands without some type of food. What have this "group" been doing? "If you are, my opinion just coming out here. I suggest you stick with Kayle over here or follow me down over up north. As long as you have some redeemable skill, of course." she glance over at the window, noticing the time of day from the sun. Better get out of here now!
  20. @@Windbreaker, @@Defender of Tomorrow, Remembering Kayle talking about ponies she had like about how kind and sweet they were. Was he one of those ponies? Not like there any other ponies there. Her trotted over to the table and placed the can of beans next to Noble, he'll probably be hungry and this will provide some trust, she thinks. "Bazooka Joe left the premises as well as Hazmat. They're up northeast." Steam said, "As for what I'm doing here? Well... I'm here to take and steal all I want before we get killed by hitponies." her sarcasm came back. Newcomers are a struggle at times. "Was suggesting her to pack up and steal as well. You too, unless you're some type of macho pony then I'm all for you killing yourself." or maybe even Rambo. Not like she hasn't seen that kind of stupidity before. Even with scrawny ponies.
  21. Was more entangled by where to find it. Her mind more in the process of finding parts where they could be taken and given away. AH HA!, taking off a few parts the pivot light was ready and to be scraped for caps. Her hoof not using any precision and pulled off the oven control her with hoof and just going into her saddle bags and cutting off the safety valve. She placed the pivot light into her saddle bags. Her ear twitched as someone called her name. She pulled her head out of the oven as she realize something... They have no clue what she knows about. Steam slightly dabbed her hoof on her forehead as she said to Kayle, "Oh, right... uhhh, you better do what I'm doing and scavenge whatever you find. You've been squatting on somepony's shack and they're going to bring hitponies." not sure why she had the eagerness to just tell Kayle, but not like it will matter. They're both in the same situation. Trespassing in somepony's shack and working together might be optimal to survive this. "If I know this pony and I do. He saw something suspicious and is paying someponies to take care of it. So, I figure I'd get the most out of this shack and bail." Her mind contemplated about using her mines to covered up the shack, but price for those babies are too much to rival some hitponies. She looked around and try to find some food, maybe if she was lucky, a gun.
  22. Cheek along the wasteland, what a familiar feeling. Even with the comforts of the shack only a few hoofsteps away, she didn't bother to move. The earth pony had hoped for a chance for the target to be dumb enough to come around anyway. They probably saw a sleeping pony with a large sniper and high-tailed it out of there, if not the few ponies who had slept in the shack. "What a waste..." she said aloud. Feeling failure against herself than the others, more so over that she wasn't able to find a way to make them move. If not for a night. Her speech really needs to be improved... Her mind shifts when her stomach gives soft growl, guess it was time to eat for now. Her hoof going into her saddles bags, feeling a small knife, sheathed and a can. Taking them both out, she went on and unsheath the knife and stabbed the can. Slicing the can open. Her mind drifting slightly as she felt the motions go as she slowly cut through the metal. The familiar scent of beans while the pork is only hinted at. Damn cheap ponies and they're lack of meat. Not like there is any place to get protein anymore she poured the food into her mouth. Leaving half the content left as she chewed and savors the food right into her mouth. Her mind now drifting off when her belly is becoming satisfied. Ugh, I really don't want to pay caps to find him again. Just feel more like to sell the investment and call it a day. Steam, the earth pony knew that this place will be filled with someponies trying to take care of the random sniper sooner than later. Better now just take what she can get and decide on finding him again later. Steam walked into the shack. Feeling a kind of a homely feel to it. Not exactly something she would retire in, but still it was nice. She placed the half-filled can on the table as she just started to scavenge the shack. Maybe some ammo or food. Anything to sell for caps now. She looked around and started to open up the kitchen oven, getting her combat knife and started cutting items down for scraps.
  23. @@Defender of Tomorrow, Took by surprised by the sudden departure of Enclave Pony into the shack. The fire had ceased and the sun would be out sooner than later. Her cheeks a touch of red as she placed her hoof on the right one, embarrassed as to Kayle's reaction. Unsure of what she had said was good. Whatever approach of asking them to leave had failed and been forgotten. Steam instead just dozed off, her ears sharp on any noises. For now, she'll get some rest. She'll think of something when she gets some rest....
  24. "Sounds like.... power armor." The voice from the radio comes out. Distortion from the armor is real, sounding more of a speaker so they could talk. Rangers and Enclave had such problems. "From somewhere else, not from the same position as the rifle..." Something didn't add up, if that was the case then why start firing? Was this some type of bait and switch tactic? "Tango, active motars from set point 3c, 2d, 7a, and 8d." There was acknowledgement as he heard the sound of Tango's magic connecting to each mortar. All of them having Pulse, Frag, and then Smoke in a set place.. A interesting process to connect them all, but easy to navigate for somepony like Tango. Telekinetic feeling the lines come across as then the mortars all fired at once. More so over around the area where he heard the speaker and the rifle shot. It might set off some frag mines in the process. Oh well, didn't want anypony to come through and the caps aren't an issues these days... @@Defender of Tomorrow, Listen to her proclaiming at this rag tag ponies were just in the right place and the right time. Only to separate, she frown slightly hearing the trigger happy Hazmat eave. Hoping to head her advice, least if he was going to do something like that. Have more ponies then himself and that robot. A little stupid, if not suicidal. The others she didn't have a clear thought on them. Steady did seem pushy and this pony was vague and silent. Seeming to want to hide in the cloak. She must've not known that she stare at the pony in the scope of rifle. She knew that she was Enclave. Not like she cared anyway, no issues with either faction. Odd, being in someodd years in her job these days. Steam looked down and thought about it, her mouth coming dry as this felt more of truth. Even with the sudden rain coming forth, she didn't bother to cover up. A look of contemplating her thoughts, her eyes glances from one side to the other, "Everypony has... flaws." She scratched the back of her neck, "We can't always be perfect and even if I agree that Bazooka Joe(She like that name better for Hazel) and Steady aren't exactly somepony I can always be around all the time, they would be good when you need your six covered." "I guess that's what trust is all about...if you ponies had it." Her voice become soft, that was more to herself than Kayle.

    mega thread Feminist Club!

I have a inquiry here. Pretty sure this has been asked before, but reading almost 350 posts isn't exactly appealing. As a feminist, what do you want? I mean specifically? Why aren't you instead, a Egalitarian instead of Feminist? Hope I'm not stepping on toes here, I'm just curious.
