  1. Link to OOC is here. The feel of the red cushion into under his legs. Enjoying every second of the touch. The smell of coffee vapors in the early morning. The rich aroma made his early morning even better as he took a sip of it. The nutty taste of coffee touched his taste bud. It forced a refreshing sigh. Ahhh, what a refreshing beverage. The earth pony thought, he placed the coffee back on his table. He paid for extra for this. First-class car. Thanks to the early morning, nopony was on, but himself. It's elegant design with it's two chair seating and table up front helped Carrick hold his coffee. The windows, showing the outside of mountain of Canterlot in it's a glory. The benefits were plenty. The comfy seats and the high-class food and beverages. The padded brown walls made it so that virtually no sound was heard, just the pony's thoughts. The rugs were of elegance with it's complex design and color. Still having a comforting feeling. The nice mares who would come any time you would need anything. Just a wave of a hoof and poof. They were there. Touching his soft brown fur, his black trench coat, cleaned and ironed out. His hat, placed on the other chair as he move his right hoof into his coat and takes out the folder. On the main tab it read: Case #131007894. Carrick opened it's contents once more. Trying to get a better idea of what he was getting himself into, but it was no avail. Whoever was in the investigation team was terrible at giving description or even ideas. The only real help that it gave him was the location and ponies that were murder. Carrick couldn't tell if there was any type of pattern. It reads more like a serial killer on the loose. The detective couldn't believe that there wasn't any distinct from the way he just read it, but...it doesn't add up. Most serial killer have some type of code. Usually attacking certain types of ponies. However there wasn't any type of code here. It was all sporadic. None of these ponies were of high class. Carrick hasn't heard of any of these names nor was there a pattern to their body type, pony type, or gender. They just seem like regular citizens going along their day. The detective sighed softly, though he felt a bit frustrated by his lack of ideas. He still was excited. He needed this, it's been quiet for a while now. Nothing out of the ordinary excluding the impending civil or international war upon us. Nothing he could solve, anyway. He wasn't a diplomat. Just an ordinary detective. Doing a few cases here and there, but nothing all too special. Now here he was, on a train to Canterlot to go forth into a investigation. Carrick knew that this case was going to be big. He took consideration that he might need a second opinion or even somepony that would be willing to help him in a situation he can't get out of. He sent forth letters to some old friends. He knew that some of them won't be coming....he even felt that she wouldn't come as well. Starbolt, though their relationship did get better for a short time. They both wanted different things. It became to point where small conversation would go on to nights of debates. Carrick couldn't take it and had call it quits. He wanted to make their relationship back to being platonic, but he knew that it wouldn't be the same, especially with the tension during the wedding. Carrick just tried to move on. The train whistled it's horn as it started to reach the destination. The city had started to come forth. The orange tint from the sky gave it more of a beautiful look to it. Carrick mind stopped drifting toward his social problem as he heard the conductor scream "Last Stop! Canterlot!" Carrick took his folder and place it back in his trench coat. The earth pony took his hat and placed it right on his head. He walked down out of the train and right into the Canterlot Train Station. Carrick wasn't sure if the city was barren at this time because of sleep or fear, but he couldn't see anypony. Carrick didn't know if anypony was on that train, but he decide to wait. Even if he saw his friends, he wanted to be alone to read the case files, even if there wasn't much too it. So, there he was, Carrick Murphy, detective. Staring at the train as the orange sun starts to reach higher in the skies.
  2. Carrick trotted along as he turned on the train. It was time to leave the dreaded place of Ponyville. Four ponies have been murdered here. This really was a suicide mission. Carrick move the train forward. If they waited to get that kid's magic back, maybe all of them would be alive. Carrick chuckle as he tipped his hat, Providence isn't one to really care. If it wasn't Ponyville. It would be somewhere else. There time had come. Carrick took his vision to the skies, seeing the stars beaming brightly today. Luna be damned, it been awhile since I bother to see the night skies. What a beautiful canvas. Carrick sat on a chair. Staring right at it. It'll be morning till we reached Canterlot. For good or bad things I've done. Tomorrow will bring hope... Maybe not for them...but I know...that when I find out... I can die a happy stallion...
  3. "Maybe..." Carrick said softly, "but...we won't find out until we find out what happen out there. What actually happen from outbreak. How did that supertrotter get loose? Was it made artificial? Was it a curse relic? Did somepony release it? That's what I want to find out." "I've already accept my own death for whatever happens in this world, but until I continue to breath...I want to find out what happen. Maybe...from there, we can find a way to bring your utopia." Carrick walked into the Engine room. "Let's go."
  4. "Trust me, Ghost. I am just somepony. Even if you think of me as that, I fear I won't be able to reciprocate those feelings." Carrick walk over to the dead Grand with the metal pole that was used to finish off Grand and Thunder. He then took the long few steps down to Fire Horn. "Ever since I have taken myself in the apocalypse. I have seen many things in my life. Life, Death, Murder, Deceit. These things have been magnify to infinite ends this year. However...." "I see this group. Full of hope, joy, family, trust, relationship. It funny how I've seen this before..." Carrick looked down, "and be torn away just as this one did." "Maybe, the doomsday clock will never reach zero. That the world will never be just full of trotters. That what I've seen today will be back." "I wish you could've stayed longer to see your son grow. Maybe see him actually rule the kingdom." Carrick chuckle. "Let Providence guide you in the afterlife." WHAM! It sounded much louder, much harder to break into the skull, but he did it. Fire Horn will never become one of them and this detective did it. Carrick tipped his hat up and said to Ghost, "Let's go to Canterlot. We have nothing here anymore." Carrick took the long walk back to the train. This kill...this was harder.
  5. Carrick got himself off the train and back inside. Hearing that both Ghost and Starburst had come back. To see your father died in your eyes....must be scarring situation for the kid. Carrick nods as he walks to the controls. "Canterlot it-" Carrick intervened. "Let me do it. I'll be the bad guy." Carrick replied. There was no need for his friend to kill him....just letting somepony just take care of it.
  6. Carrick scans in his notepad for a second. Starburst had ran out to find his father. Carrick had gotten himself on top of the train. Seeing the battle fall between his eyes. He chuckle as more ponies had fallen in the victim to this once lovely town. Carrick stares at the pages that were on top. Carrick narrated his page: Carrick chuckle at his words. His premonition were correct. They lost their sense of security. Their sense of nervousness, so they would of seen that what had happen. Two ponies killed by his hooves, with two others killed by a super-trotters. It was only a matter of time. Till his clock will reach zero. Till then he stares at there. All the trotters dead from Ghost's anger. The only thing he needs to do is take Ghosty and Starburst to Canterlot. Then, his job is done. He can start researching what actually happen to this world. How did that super-trotter exist?... He took a sip of water from his canteen as he continue to wait for them.
  7. Carrick gave a small smile, "You are indeed are more honorable pony than any I have seen since the apocalypse....if I ever get children. I'll be sure to give one them your name, in your honor." Carrick tipped his hat. That promise will probably be for naught. He knew he was to die by Canterlot's grasp. Carrick raised up the pole, "Let Providence guide you in the afterlife." Carrick slammed the pole down, contacting right between the eyes. His strength was able to break the skull and penetrate the brain. Blood started to pour out of the hole. She was....dead now. Carrick pulled the pole out as he went to Grand. Laying on the ground, know full well it's time for him to take care of business. "I have not knew you for long, but you were a trustworthy pony. I hope the afterlife will guide you to better pastier." Carrick repeated the same movement. Hitting right between the eyes of Grand. Blood spilling out of the hole again. Carrick turned to Ghost. "I've lived my whole life alone...deal with it." Carrick was cold, but it was for his own good. "If you can't handle a few deaths, than you should stay the dead then. Learn to be strong for them if you have to, but don't except empathy from me." Carrick walked into the engine room. "We're leaving in five mintues!" (g2g, Kung Fu time.)
  8. Carrick chuckle at Ghost, "Ghost, this isn't for Grand...this is for her" Carrick pointed to Thunder. "If you want to finish her off as well. Then you'll have to wait. I want to her to say any last words for anypony that she wants to. I'm not a pony without some type of equaninity."
  9. Carrick gave a sigh, he walk over to the cabin and grabbed a metal pole, ripping from it's wall. "Seems like my mission will never happen." Carrick said more to himself than Thunder. "I apologize, mademoiselle that we didn't know each other. Do you have any last words?" The detective knew what had to be done. He didn't know her at all, it was probably for the best. Emotions might blind ponies and make them regret killing her, but the detective knew. If she doesn't die, it's all over.
  10. Carrick gave a sigh, "He's going to die for being this rash." Carrick turns to Thunder "You have something to cut the hind leg? Or do we have to take out the brain?" Carrick asked. He didn't know Grand all too well to care for her death. She knew what going out there was. All he could do is at least not make her into one of them.
  11. I am sure am grateful that I never came out of this train. One pony confirmed dead and one pony just got bitten by one of them. It was only a matter of time before they overwhelm us all. Carrick ran over to Thunder. "We need to cut this before you get more infected! Anypony can a blade?"
  12. Carrick continue to mess around with the train. Seeing how everything was working. He took in notes to see what everything does. Better not turn on the horn. The detective actions were turned when he saw a dark storm all around the Forest. He saw it surrounding the whole forest as then just disappear into a small dust cloud . The sounds of trotters started to come close as well. Aw, crap. Carrick started to turn on the engine. Hopefully they'll come soon, or he'll have to go without them. He needed to worry about himself before theirs.
  13. Carrick went to investigate the train itself. They were able to own a train? This group does have some luck on their hooves. Carrick took himself to the engine of the room. Seeing the only system used in Equestria. The coal system. They certain have enough for Canterlot, but how much reserves will be left? Carrick looked at the controls, as he took in some time to learn the basics of it.
  14. Carrick wasn't all to sure to just jump into a suicide mission with this group. Their last plan only got him to become Trotter's meat. He felt a bit more safe to stay on the train than to go out there. Even if he made the plan himself. "I'll hold the fort down on the train." Carrick said, "You ponies go on ahead."
  15. Carrick gave a 'heh'. "So you think we can continue to have a luck streak? Heh, Lady Luck only shined for so long before it will finally breaks it's grasp on us. Eventually all of us are going to die from the outbreak. One by one. We're not going to see it, either. This group will slowly dwindle into only one or two of us stay alive...." "I honestly don't care if I die today. From all I've seen, I've had a good life. There's really only one thing I want to do before I turn over and when we reach Canterlot. I'll be able to do it."
  16. "Debbie Downer? I have you know, that I am a realist. Not an optimistic." Carrick took his canteen and took a few sips of it. She words of optimism made Carrick wonder. "So you think the clock will never reach anytime soon because of Trottingham? Well you better hope the undead can finally rest in peace then, because I would say that the trotters beat us two to one, if not more." "Either we find some type of cure or we find a place that will never have trotters. Even in Trottingham they still have trotters, just right outside of the wall. I should know, I almost got killed by one."
  17. Carrick was already wide awake before everyone. He got his needed eight hours of rest and woke straight up. A habit he's gained sing the Apocalypse. The longer you sleep, the more chance of being in a ambush. Ponies started to wake up one by one as they started to converse about their own lives. How they got their cutie marks. Questions are being asked. Carrick felt like it was time to ask his. "So," Carrick injected as he walked towards the group," when do you ponies think the doomsday clock will reach zero?"
  18. Wings pulled him Quickly into a passionate kiss. He knew what he wanted. He stared into the peagsus's red eyes. There was no need for words, just a connection. A physically release to show how much he cared for this stallion. Doing it over and over. Not caring for anything in the world, but him. Time continues to move forward. Unknowing of when to stop. Not a care for the world, they both got what they wanted.... (That's it for now. G'night. Real sleepy.)
  19. "Well aren't you a naughty pony" Wings gives Quick a nice slap of his butt. "I think it's time we had enough of talking and use our bodies to tell us how we truly feel." Wings takes his right hoof and walks him into the bedroom. Knowing full well that it was going to be a while before we'd get out. (As much fun as writing more of it could happen. I'm sure I'd get in trouble if we actually roleplay gay stallion sex. Best we keep it clean as possible.)
  20. "You two are done?" Wings walked out of the guest room to see Quickly, nervous as can be. "You really do need some type of release, don't you, Sweetheart?" Wings gave his patent smile as he kissed Quickly's red cheek. His hooves wrapped around his stiff back. "Don't worry...I'll be gentle~" He giggle.
  21. Wings bit his lips when he heard the words, Snow. "Um, sweetie....best not to talk about her." Wings said, turning to Hypno. "It's Quickly! Guess you guys got a lot to catch up on." Wings turned back to Quickly's ear. Moving closer as his lips touched his ear. "Just a head-up. If you need some type of release...I'm willing to take out the tension." Wings turned around and walked away, his wings all about.
  22. (I would if it weren't' for the fact I have no idea who you are in the roleplay.) Carrick looked at this new pony in front of him. "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." Carrick tapped his chin. "Well, we could just try some type of aerial search instead. If somepony knows where exactly the hut is. We could use that and find it then." Carrick looked at this new pony, "Oh, I'm sorry. I haven't introduce myself. I am Carrick Murphy, detective." Carrick gives his hoof to shake. Carrick turned to Josh, "A plan doesn't take a few minutes. Sometimes it takes hours, days, heck, even months. Be patience."
  23. Wings couldn't' help but giggle at Quickly's reaction. "Aww, aren't you the shyiest thing in the bunch." Wings gave him a hug. "I could just hold you all day~" Enjoying his thin body on his, but he knew he couldn't hold him to his duty. He pulled back. "Um, yeah. Sweetheart. He's in the back. Hypno!" Wings shouted to Hypno.
  24. Carrick shook his head at Grand's defeat and was a bit surprised that Ghost agreed with him. The detective started to think that Ghost's middle name is "Danger" with the way Ghost's talk. He tipped his hat and sat down, "If Ponyville is that messed up. Then going there would be our last resort." Carrick took out a notepad and started to draw a small of Ponyville, Everfree Forest, and Canterlot. "See, the front entrance to the forest would be here." Carrick drew an arrow from Ponyville to the forest. "However, maybe going to the front door is a bad idea. You have to consider that Ponyville is a small town. There's a lot of acres that are just plains. So if we take that into consideration." Carrick took the pencil and drew an arrow into the back of the Forest. "We take the backdoor, instead." "Of course, that's just one option."
  25. "WAIT!" Carrick shouted, trying to get everypony attention. "Look, I'm not saying that getting that colt's magical powers back isn't some type of priority, but if this was a suicide mission before. Then, doing that again sounds like a really bad idea. We need to actually consider our options here before we start jumping the gun." Carrick looked at Ghost. "We got lucky with Manehattan. If we stayed any longer there, I'm sure that thing would of killed us. Luck doesn't' last forever. So I think we should take a good time and we actually talk about options here, okay?"
