Grand rubbed her head. " it was nothing more than a nightmare. I'm sure they aren't uncommon" she said, shaking herself Awake. "Buy I'm rested enough now' she said, deciding to look around for an improvised leg. (I'm off to bed as well)

Stephan looked down from the cliff and looked at the open forest below him. He was getting that impatient feeling again. But, now that they're on land, he can finally go explore. "I'm gonna go scope out the area, guys. Don't worry. I'll find my way back." He ran down the mountain and into the forest. He looked around the environment."Heh. Just like running through Equestria 8 years ago." He sprinted off and began running through the forest, doing it as stylish as he could. He flipped over big rocks, ran along the sides of cliffs, and jumped from tree to tree every now and then.

"Woohoo!" Stephan shouted. He shouted it so loud, you could hear it all the way from the group's camp.

Hearth trotted up while carrying a couple of jugs. He dropped them in front of Ink Drop, he pointed to each of them. " Ah wasn't sure how well off yer group was, but ya can never be too prepared. Food, water, and some medical herbs and supplies." He tipped his hat. "Be sure t' let me know when and where yer goin' Ah decided that it was time t' move on, we might meet again." He says as he turns tail to say his hellos to the rest of the group.

Missy was sitting silently in the corner, staring at the now-dead body of her son, Fire Horn hugging her, knowing that it wouldn't do her any good whatsoever, but it's still a little bit comforting. Starburst had sacrificed his own life to save Stephan, because he wouldn't want Stephan to die without ever seeing his family again.

As Stephan ran through the forest, a sensation of freedom filled his soul. However, the thought of Starburst still haunted his mind as he ran. "The kid had so much to live for. If he was still around after we fix this, he could've lived a much more fulfilled life." Stephan said to himself. He turned round and began jetting back to the mountain.

Steel watched as everypony dealt with the death of starburst- if only they could stop emotions like me it would make this better- steel thought hey I'm sorry, he was a good kid and I'm proud t have fought by his side" steel said and took flight and went into a tree near them

Hearth walked up to Missy. He paused for a moment thinking about what to say. "I don't know how much it'll mean, but... Ya have mah deepest condolences. He seemed like a good kid, and I'll bet he'll be by yer side through everythin' anyways..... Anyone who'd give their life t' save another is a hero." He tipped his hat and lowered his head.

Missy looked up at Hearth, fire in her eyes, no-one was to blame for anything, but that didn't stop her from hating them all.

"Don't tell me that he was a hero! I know he was, if you hadn't appeared and Steel hadn't sauntered off like he usually does, he would be alive, so take your condolences and shove them up your plot." Fire Horn was shocked at this sudden outburst of anger.

Grands eyes filled with anger. "That's enough missy. There's no reason to be blaming ponies who are trying to help us" she said, shambling over to her. "If your going to blame anyone, blame me. If I had been quicker getting the plant he would still be here. I was the one who prevented him from turning. If you insist on hating someone, hate me"

Stephan ran back up the mountain to join the other ponies, only to find Missy standing over Starburst, crying her eyeballs out. He could tell she was made. Even though he wasn't her when she yelled, he could hear it in the air, as if it was echoing. "Looks like we have an issue here..."

Missy raised a hoof intending to hit Grand, but stomped on the ground instead, then she went back to her previous position. "I don't really blame anypony. it wasn't your fault, it wasn't Hearth's fault, if i want to blame anypony, i'll blame myself, easier than making other's hate me, i'll hate me." Missy curled into a ball and fell silent again.

 

Meanwhile, Fire Horn was at the peak of the mountain, holding the bottle of whiskey with his magic, he pulled off the cap and took a drink of it, it burned in his throat, but it was good.

Grands eyes softened. "Look missy, I understand how awful this is. I just want you to remember what we are doing this for. We can stop innocent ponies like starburst from dieing. We have to continue, just a little longer" she said, her voice warm. She looked at starburst and an image of her sister surged through her mind. "Please don't disappear like I did. It is my biggest regret. Or at least one of them"

Stephan just decided to avoid the others and walk to the edge of the mountain. He sat down next to Fire Horn and looked on the horizon. He swore he could see Canterlot castle from this high up. He decided to focus on the task at hand.

"We're never gonna get to the shrine at this rate, Fire." Stephan told him. "We have to keep moving."

Steel flew down "no grand she's right if I hadnt gone to check out the pony with a gun pointed I our direction I could have seen the zebras and stopes them" steel said coldly "let her hate me I have caused the death of many and I will be doing so until I die"

Missy didn't respond, she just stared blankly at Starburst.

 

Fire Horn looked over at Stephan then looked at the horizon. "Whatever, it doesn't matter to me, Stephan, this world could burn in a rain of fire, brought down by Celestia herself and i would not give the littlest s**t." Fire Horn took another drink, the burning was starting to get less intense.

Stephan was surprised. After all they went through, he's just giving up? He wasn't going to let that happen. "No, Fire. We can't just give up." He said in a bold tone. "Your son would want us to continue on. He'd want us to save Equestria for him and everyone else that died. We need to push through and end this."

Grand let out a sad sigh. "Before we leave we should give him a proper burial. Not many ponies get that nowadays" she said, grabbing a flattened rock and beginning to dig. She worked slowly, as the rock wasn't an ideal tool to use, but she worked steadily, hoping that in some small way it would make it up to missy

Y'all shouldn't blame yerselves, ah've hated mahself fer a long while now, and regardless of whether y'all do too, ah insist on helpin' y'all before ya go anywhere." He mumbled under his breathe. His anger at himself was fuming. "Ah can't say ah don't know what y'all are goin' through, and ah'm not goin' t' excuse mahself in anyway." he left in a hurry to find something to vent his rage.

"End it, huh? That's a funny way of putting it Stephan, what exactly are you suggesting here, we find this shrine, then we sacrifice Missy to it? Then what? My reward comes, what i get, my reward is loneliness for the rest of my life, what i get for sacrificing my wife to some sick f***ing human machine and losing my son, i get misery, loneliness and a potential for suicide, just shut up Stephan." Fire Horn shouted at Stephan before taking another drink.

Steel pulled his daggers and began to help grand with digging he helped in silence he had nothing to say. He knew this would take a while he just hoped that once this was done they could get moving and get to the shrine than he thought of something " grand I don't think I will be training you to fight" steel said when heard firehorn he flew over and kicked the bottle out of his hand " your done firehorn I you want you can turn back and let your sons death be in vain but as for me I will do my best to make what he did count he saved me and Stephan the least we can do is get the cure" steel said in anger

Grand overheard the conversation. "Very we'll, you two can stay here, the rest if us will continue on. That way missy won't have to be the one to be sacrificed" she said to fire horn. The grave was almost finished. She dug it out until it would easily fit starburst. "We will come back for you once we find the cure" grand smiled at steel. "I assumed as much. I'm not really in the best condition to fight anyways, mentally and physically

Stephan folded his arms and got up. He looked down from the mountain. "Fine. If you won't help save Equestria... I'll do it myself. Because that's what I do best. Feel free to come to the shrine when you decide to help." He turned to the others. "If you guys feel like continuing, feel free to tag along." Stephan jumped off the mountain and into the forest, where he could no longer be seen. He began running towards the direction of the shrine. "If a life needs to be given to save Equestria, I'll give my own." He gained a burst of speed as he ran towards the shrine. He had a long way to go...

"Grand! Did you not understand the book, does it not process in that small head of yours, it said, one of great magical power would be sacrificed. Is it still not computing? Well then, let me enlighten you, you are not powerful, i won't lie, i am not poweful, but Missy is, so when you say to sacrifice you? You must be joking." Fire Horn continued drinking. "Get back here! Oh, you know what? Just run, run away from your problems like you always do. Also, have fun freezing to death,asshole."

Grand shook her head as he ran off. " I suppose he realizes it wont work unless there's a unicorn there will he? She said, stepping out if the grave. " would you like to do it yourself" she asks quietly, a little anxious to follow Stephan. " I don't want to leave until he's had a proper burial" grand tried to ignore the painful words of fire, but it was evident in her face that they stung
