"Zeta, she took your gun out there. What do you think she intends to do with it?" He asked the brute stallion. "Right before storming out out of here, she threatened to kill herself. We can't let her do that. She needs to live to see the new world."

"I think she intends to use it for the greater purpose for herself." Replying back toward Stephan with a slight hint of anger in his voice. "There is no way you can help her as of now, everything she does from here on needs to be her business and her business only. We cant do anything whatsoever except wait it out, and hope for what happens is the best choice.."

Stephan paused for a moment and sighed. "Alright. I'll let her do what she thinks is best. But, if she isn't back here for a long amount of time, I'm going out there to look for her. I'm already worried about her dying out in the cold." Stephan said. He walked back and curled up into a ball, hoping he can keep himself warm.

Missy awoke, the cold hit her like a tidal wave, she had to get up before she froze to death, she jumped off the mountain, flapping her wings, but her injured wing hadn't fully healed so she fell into the snow, softening her fall. She got back up, now with a sprained hoof, she walked back to the cave, seeing everypony, she was covered ice, she then sat down next to the fire.

As Hearth grows tired of playing his violin, he drops it and pulls out a bottle of scotch. He takes a few swigs and feels warmer as time passes. He feels a little tipsy, and confused. He stares into the fire as the snow in the dug-out melts. His depression only worsens. He looks at his rifle. He pulls the bayonet off of the barrel and examines it. "Still loaded."

Stephan looked over at Missy. "Sweet Luna, Missy. You look terrible." He said, trying not to make her feel bad. "I thought you ran off out there to put a bullet between your eyes. Thank goodness you didn't. What happened out there, anyways? You were out there for quite a bit."

"Oh, um... okay. Thanks, I guess." Stephan took some of Zeta's fur and placed it around his legs. That's where his body was the most cold.

"Thank you, Stephan.." Zeta replied back to him. "I would go out for her as well, but she told me not to so I wont."

He started to head back, but saw Stephan curl up into a ball and shiver a bit and decided to offer some stuff. "Um, Stephan.. I'm actually pretty warm right now so if you want to, you can use my fur."

Then he noticed Missy come back, limping toward them and helped her inside. "Missy what happened?"

"I've had some time to think Stephan. To think about what is the best thing for my friends and my homeland of Equestriia, it seems so far away right now, but i want to know. Are you really here for me, in support of me and Fire Horn, or do you just want me alive to solve this plague." Missy explained.

Stephan put his hand on Missy's shoulder. "Why do you think I stayed with all of you in the first place? I love each and every one of you. My vision is to solve this plague so that all of us can live happily again. That includes both of you. I want you two to be here to see the new world. When we get there, I sincerely hope there's another way to solve this. I don't want you to go, Missy. I sincerely don't." He said in a warm tone.

"Of course we're here for you and fire. We're a family! Why would you even think that isn't true?" Grand said, shuffling over to her. "Your injured. I think I still have a few plants in my bag" said grand after examining her hoof and her wing. She grabbed her bag and wobbled over, grabbing a few plants. She squished them up and placed it on her wing and hoof. "I think these should dull the pain and speed the healing" smiled grand

Without a word steel went deeper into the cave to be alone he didn't stop till he reached a dead end the sat there deep in thought -why am I here with them they don't understand me and new will nopony will ever understand that's why iv spent my life alone since I was seven-steel thought" they will never understand and I don't want to care about them but I do. Damn it! I shouldn't have come with them" steel said aloud

"Thank you, guys, it means a lot to me, as well as Fire." Missy said interrupted occasionally by violent shivers. "Well, if you really are here for me, i need to tell you now. The cold has spread to my entire body, making my organs strain, so in about 3 hours i'll most likely die..." Missy shivered again. "Don't worry, it's not terminal, i just need medicine of some kind, i'm ill."

"What do you need. I have a few other plants but imunsureif they'll do anything. I can go out and find it though, just tell me where to find it" said grand sternly. She grabbed all the plants from her saddlebag. " will any if these help? I can't remember what plants stop frostbite" she said, a little panicked

Stephan had a sad expression on his face. He took off his jacket. "It's not much, but here." Stephan put his wool jacket around Missy. "While Grand fixes you up, I'm gonna go talk to Steel."

 Stephan ventured to the back of the cave only to find a sad Steel sitting alone in the dark. "What are you doing back here?"

Hearth took the rifle and placed it beneath his chin. He paused and thought. He then began to place pressure on the trigger. Just before the pin could release, he tossed the gun aside. "Damn it, ah still couldn't do it." He says to himself and begins to cry. He lays down, crying, and thinking over his loss.

"Although it may seem like Frostbite, it isn't, it's internal freezing, i'm literally frreezing from the inside." Missy began to shiver again, then she felt a warmth over her, she looked up at Stephan. "Thank you." Then he left further down the cave. "I need something that burns, ignis erumpit, also something to cool, so the plant doesn't set me on fire." Missy joked.

"Yeah, I probably wouldn't. But understand this; no matter what you think, you're still part of this group. We're all going to make it through this and see the new Equestria." He turned back to the section where the group was. "Just keep that in mind." He walked back to the group and sat down, trying to keep himself warm.

"I-I don't know if I have that one. Where can I find it?" She said, looking through the plants she's collected. "I don't remember what it looks like" she says, starting to panic. "Is it out there anywhere? iS it any of these? I'm so confused" she said, hoping missy knew what plant she needed

Hearth regained his wits awhile later. He notices that his fire is dying. He packs up his things and walks through the snow and back toward the cave. "Sorry, I guess I lost my cool a little while ago. What's up now?" He says looking at Missy and Grand. He sits down taking in some warmth.

"It's a plant that gives off a faint glow, it ignites when ingested, you need to mix it with a cold touch, a plant which is frozen at the tips and appears in frozen places." Missy said shivering. "You have to boil them in water to make a sort of potion, but i refuse to let you go out there and risk your life for my sake."

Stephan flipped up to his feet. "I could get the plant for you. I speed off to the nearest frozen peak, find the plant, and bring it back within moments." Stephan suggested. "Or, I could take Grand there, and she could find the plant. It'd probably be best that way. I'm not good with this plant business."

"I'll do it." Hearthsong offers. He wipes the melted snow from his face. "I'm fit, and my coat is insulated, so death shouldn't be a problem." He drops his stuff and sraps his rifle to his back. "Not to mention that I know what plant you're looking for and might know where to find it."

"We'll there we go then. Perhaps the two of you should go, I'd only slow you down. I'll start boiling the water. I would love to go with you but it would only take longer. Just be safe" she tells them before grabbing some snow and putting it in a hollow rock over the fire. "Please hurry, for Missy's sake"

Steel thought about want Stephan saide got up and flew back to the group "what's going on?" steel asked curious as to why grand was so obviously panicked he was about to say something but he decided he wouldn't he would find out more befor he said anything elae

Fire Horn had just been sat there, trying to process and recalculate what was going to happen in the future.
"Missy, promise me one thing, don't distance yourself from me, we need each other, now more than ever." Fire Horn said.
"We'll be fine." Missy said. "I think something's going wrong." Missy started coughing. "I miscalculated, lungs.... shutting down....about.....20 minutes.....hurry." Missy started breathing badly.
