Grand whispered to the figure, now clearly a female figure.

"Whatever, im just your thoughts"

"How embarassing ,then"Grand said in a frustrated whisper

"No need to apologize to me for anything, what's in the past is in the past." Missy hugged Zeta. "Besides, you did let me borrow your revolver, with recent events, i'm glad i didn't pull the trigger, i wouldn't just have been killing myself, i would have been killing my own child.

He was a little surprised by the hug there, but decided it was alright and hugged back. "Yeah, actually. I had a different thought that you would use it for self defense, which is why i'm giving it to you. Because you see actually.."

Then Zeta looked in her saddlebag, pulling out the revolver and emptying out the shots before going back up to Missy. He looked around before pointing to a spot on the barrel with an engraved name.

"This used to be mine, a long while back when I had gone by a different name. Feel free to call me it now, but only when we're alone. I'm sorry Fire, but it's only access to her as of now. So go ahead give it a quick read before I put it back in your saddlebag."

Hearth was starting to get worried. He walked up to Grand and lightly pulled her aside. "Who are you talking to? Don't give me that silly snakes story either." He looked into her eyes. "Ya need to tell me. Ah want the truth. It doesn't matter to me what it is. Ah want to help you through whatever you're feeling."

"Wow, that's cool, was it from back when you were working for the Princesses?" Missy asked, levitating it into the saddlebag. "The name is kind of confusing though, i don't think i'll be calling you that at all. So used to saying Zeta now." Fire Horn looked a little confused.

"well now you've gona and done it, ya dingwall."

"Hmm? oh, its noothing. Just keeping my mind active is all. I promise, ill stop if you want. Its just a way of actresses keeping their mind active and ready for anything, heh" SHe said with a smile.

Hearthsong flared his nostrils. He was feeling irritated. "When ah say ah want the truth, ah mean.. I WILL have the truth from ya. Ya've been makin' up the same stories, and ah'm not fallin' fer it." He calmed himself. "Ah won't go judging y'all fer what ya say, now please tell me."

Missy understood that look all too well.
"Everypony has lost someone, you don't have to tell me anything about it, just remembering the deceased is all that we must do." Missy noticed an argument between Grand and Hearth, well more Hearth yelling at Grand.
Fire stepped in to break it up.
"Calm down, Hearth, if she has a secret, we can't force her to tell us." Fire Horn said. "..and i'd think twice before yelling at a pony who helped you."

Grands face went serious. She looked at the others enough from the others. A look of frustration fell onto her face. "You wont judge me hmm? You wont call me crazy for seeing another pony here taunting me? You wont see me any differently when I tell you my nightmares are beginning to control me? I highly doubt it" She said, tears beginning to form, but she forces them back. "None of you will feel safe with me anymore if I'm crazy anyways. Its different being sick mentally than it is being sick physically. You cant fix it with a few leaves mixed together" she said, quieter this time. She looked at Hearth. "If my nightmares continue to control me like this, its only a matter of time before I hurt somepony" She said the last part quietly, so only hearth could hear

"Yeah but, it's just hard to forget about it with you being pregnant. Anytime I see a pony like that, or even a couple together it's... Heartbreaking.."

He got a sad look on his face, also hearing what was going on behind and was just about to step in before Fire Horn did. Because of it, he had a quick chance to talk.

"My name is Hyperion Zeta, and I had a wife who was about to give birth before the hospital wing was burnt down from some suicide pony..."

Missy was unsure what to say, in both cases, Zeta was being open with her, while Grand was having a breakdown of sorts.
"Just remember, there are other people you can relate to." Missy said, clearing her throat.
"Hi, my name is Missy Starlight, my son was killed by a cannibalistic zebra tribe, nice to meet you."

Hearth simply ignored the rest of them for now. This was an issue between him and Grand. "No, ah won't! I wouldn't judge ya fer anythin' I'm no different than you, ah know what's happening. I think ah do. You think that it's any better that ah see mah dead wife's face in the middle of the day. That ah hear her and mah daughter givin' me advice on how ah live mah life. There's nothin' ah can say that's ever gonna make it better, but you need to know that ah sympathize, that I'm sufferin' fer mah weakness." He says to her somberly.

 

"Mah name is Hearthsong, mah wife died givin' birth t' mah daughter, and ah was forced to kill mah daughter when she became a trotter."

"weakness... I havent the slightest idea who this... figment is. But their goal seems to be berating me until I snap" she said, glaring at the Figure who was now whistling away, looking the other direction. Grand rolled her eyes, "at least your figments are ponies you knew" She said, looking down. 

"Geez, what are ya, a Cheesey cannon? get over yourself ya drama queen"

"Ah think that ya might. You can see who they are. They might be someone ya've never met, but ya always know em." Hearthsong says looking down. He pulled her into a hug nonetheless. "Ya've gotta be strong, fer me, fer you, fer everyone here." He tips his hat. He nods, and looks to Grand expectantly.

Grand hesitated for a moment, but returned the hug. 

"Man, can you get any lamer, Pansy pants?"

Grand released from the hug.

"Thank you Hearth, but this is something that wont go away with a simple hug" she said, looking at the figure next to her.

"Im not planning on leaving anytime soon princess"

Steel heard what zeta and Missy was saying steel lowerd him self down "I heard what you was saying zeta and I wanted to let you know that I had and that I knownwhatcits like to lows your wife, belive it or not I had one she was amazing and demonblood, a criminal, with powerful magic kidnapped her and to this day I havnt been able to find her"steel said as sadness entered his voice

"I think we're going on now, come on, walk with me it'll be fun....uh.. sort of." Missy said awkwardly.

Fire walked behind Zeta and Missy, happy that everyone was doing well, he walked over to Hearth. "So, how do you reckon the terrain'll be up ahead?"

Missy smiled.

"I think we're going on now, come on, walk with me it'll be fun....uh.. sort of." Missy said awkwardly.

 

(Prepare your faces for a time skip, about 4 and a half hours)

 

Fire walked behind Zeta and Missy, happy that everyone was doing well, he walked over to Hearth. "So, how do you reckon the terrain'll be up ahead?"

"You got it~!"

 

In the 4 and a half hours spent out in the hot sun, Zeta felt pretty happy just from walking. His hooves didn't burn like some of the other ponies from all the calluses on them, but helping out Missy was something he wouldn't mind.

"Huh, out on a hot day like this and just about everypony is in a good mood. I wish it could stay like this the whole time, seeing that it's a mood you generally don't come across."

Hearth bends down and runs his hoof through the sand. It was starting to run together into palletes. "Ah think that we're about to enter a salty pocket. This means that the sand has dried together to form something like thin layers of rock that have cracked apart. We're gonna want to get out of this before mornin' It'll get real difficult to dig through."

"Why does it have to be sand and the hot sun." Ink panted exhaustively, his legs were convulsively trembling after a four and a half hours of constant walking, "I like travelling but that doesn't mean I like travelling to places like this."

Just to keep himself entertained, he applied some facts to Hearth's sentences, "Salty, sand... everywhere... salt, one of the first elements used on testing gun powder, founded by the first Unicorns of The East and modified by the Ancient Heter." Ink then realzied, one thing that he was forgetting after the group laid their hooves on this barren wasteland, "Anypony notices something's off? Cause somewhere in this Celestia forsaken place should be the Ruins of Heter'Lir Zum or was it Heter'Ik Zor, the old kingdom of the Heter ponies." Ink wasn't very focused at the moment, he couldn't see straight at the desert, but there was something lying in the bottom of the bowl shaped sand terrain. A silhouette of a rigid object; to far to be seen of course, "speaking of which, anypony have a telescope or a concave lens and a pipe?"

"Hey, Ink,  I realise we haven't had a chance to talk for a while." Missy said. "I just wanted to ask you what your view on this was, since i know everyone has one. Tell me about the last time you were here, your book "The Elements" was a favorite of mine, where did you get the title from?"

 

(I am unsure if that book is a finished thing that he did, if not, i can edit the post.)

Turned out the rigid object was only a mirage after Missy's voice fell upon Ink's ears, "Likewise..." Ink said rather plainly and turned around towards Missy, "The Elements... oh yes, that book." such an embarrassing thing for the writer himself to almost forget the title of his book, well, memory loss might be common since everypony had undergone an ordeal of themselves, "That title, I got it after I saw the return of Nightmare Moon and the revelation of the legendary Elements of Harmony at my stay at Ponyville, that book actually took me a while to finish because there was a lot of facts that I needed to cover up." he explain, revealing that he had been at The Summer Sun Celebration event.

"I went to Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, such a great time indeed." a smile then slowly appeared on Ink's face as he continued unraveling his past moments as a writer, "But I still need to go here, to Bruchellia and do some more research on one of its place of origins, or at least that was what Twilight said... but it turned out great aside of being chased around by killer cannibal zebra clan." he said with his two front hooves being used to give gestures as he went on telling his story.

"And even my mom was really excited... after... she-" Ink suddenly became quieter and quieter after he mentioned about his mother, "well... that was a time in the past, by the way how's your leg?" Ink changed the subject directly and he gave one forced smile in the end then he walked down and joined the rest of the group.
